Facility is cheaper than living in a facility that also has assisted living and serves meals. Some of us are not at that point yet. There was a push to fill the facility and a lot of incentives were offered. Now that we are almost full we don't know what changes ownership plans to make. The immediate staff of 3 are wonderful. Residents enjoy the activities and friendships made. However ownership is making changes regarding activities, and residents have little information. We anticipate more changes. I guess if I'd been wiser, I'd looked into who owned the facility, how they treated staff and residents and if the owners paid the expenses on time . A few are looking to move when their lease is up. There just aren't that many places where it is just independent living like we have.

The facility is not very clean. The common areas are not cleaned often or well. There are several items that have been broken since I moved in and are safety and health hazards. There are not handicap parking places by all exits nor are the curbs ramped for easy access except at front door. They seem to have trouble keeping a maintenance man. It is a nice facility and there are a good variety of activities.

The staff that they currently have are friendly and personable. There is no housekeeping for residents, we take care of our own living space. There are also no meals, they do have donuts in the morning every other Friday. These are apartments, not Assisted Living, so residents usually take care of their own needs. The residents are wonderful and supportive of each other's needs. I would recommend this facility based on that.

This place was nice but to expensive. They do not accept section 8.

I left before my contract was up, but I paid my contract out. It's a horrible place. I left back in July because of wise deception in the way they treat people I was told my apartment was rented because they wanted me to move to a bigger apartment that cost more money, but they thought they had me to make me to move, but I was already mad. I didn't have a contract nor had I signed a paper that said I was leaving my apartment so when she said she already rented my apartment that I was currently renting from underneath me I said that's fine. I'm not mad, but I'm not still not taking the other apartment because she would never give me a contract to the new apartment I was about to move into. I said you can keep both apartments I'm done. She didn't know quite what to do. I left then come to find out she has lied. She'd never rented out at my apartment And where I had messed up. I didn't get anything in writing so therefore I was stuck paying the rent I ended up getting her fired, but I'm the one that ultimately paid the price now in regards to other items of business anything that needed to be fixed like the roof or the drive way never fixed items falling off the wall and I'm speaking about the outside. I got hit in the back by one of the bricks so I never sit outside on my porch again again it's just a horrible place to live. Do you need anything else? I wanna know anything else about the place I wouldn't recommend it to anyone not anyone what I recommend to live there we have went through four or five managers in less than a year that should tell you something.

If we could give the care services, the staff and the value for cost a-1 we would. I absolutely would NOT recommend Connect 55 in Elkhorn. Not a pleasant place to live. I am moving out and so are about 10-12 other folks leaving. I have lived here 1 year and we have our 4th property manager and no activity director even though we are charged a percentage for activities. This is just a very very small portion of all our complaints. The only thing god about this place are several of the residents but they are also moving when their lease ends

The apartments are nice; however, the manager is extremely rude and has no people skills. I would not recommend the senior complex at this time due to the current on-site manager. In addition, there is absolutely no emergency plan in place if a family member cannot get in contact with their loved one.
