Not assisted living. This is an apartment home community for active adults, even though some residents rely on walkers or wheelchairs. Independent living at its best with caring staff and beautiful surroundings and amenities. Best of all, it is affordable!

We love it at Harrison Heights Senior Village! When we moved in they had shampooed the carpet and everything was just real clean. The staff is real nice. I enjoy talking with everyone here. The fellowship is just wonderful. Overall it is a good price here and worth it. The facility is very well put together. There is a lot of light in our room. The space in here is really open, the bathroom is very large. We love the walk-in closets. The space in our room is wide for walking and that really helps. This facility offers a lot of activities and you can pick and choose whatever you would like. We really love it here and feel at home.

My Mom is happy. That is the best review I can give. She isn't lonely and she is starting to enjoy all the activities. Sarah has gone out of her way to make my mom happy and I appriciate it

They have made it so nice for my Mom. She is still living independent and taking care of herself, but I don't worry about her safety.

Michael, the apt manager was very patient and friendly to our family and my Dad. He made us feel at home and was very helpful with our move for Dad. I would highly recommend these Sr. Apt. for your choice. It is very close and convenient to shopping and activities.

Mom and dad are happy there. My only problem is that they have new management and need a new activity director. It would be nice if they would work on keeping employees happy.

I put n/a for some of the categories. This is not a nursing home. There's no food served. This is an apartment complex for 55 and over seniors. Like I said, it's not a nursing home. It's just folks and rental property. People are nice. People are cordial. Staff is kind and friendly. Just every day people. Perhaps I shouldn't use the term staff. There's a property manager and an activity coordinator.

Residents are friendly and there are scheduled events. Maintenance man is very helpful. Front office not open all day. 1 bedroom has large kitchen/living room space. Bedroom can fit a queen and 1 dresser. Good size closet . Bathroom has large walk-in shower but no linen closet. Includes washer dryer but no microwave or garbage disposal.

We have a nice apartment. It is clean because we clean it. Still needed some things after we moved in. Some baseboard, painting, and cleaning. Staff was friendly but somewhat ineffective. They blamed corporate. Manager has changed several times in a year, activity director changes often. Maintenance changes almost monthly. Pretty difficult to get things done unless you are at the right time. I haven't been in a place like this before but tenants say it is better than many places. Staff may be an issue everywhere. Activities seem to be centered around a small group and have become less & less. It is a good location. Rent after a year went up [fee removed]/mo. Now [fee removed] for two bedroom, bath & half.

I enjoy the people. I don't utilize the activities as much as others might as I am active outside of the building and many residents are closer to 80 than to 55 yo. The activities director is great! She is directed by corporate much more than necessary yet she perseveres. The owning corporation raised the rent on both apartments and garages yet were slow to get our security system repaired/replaced quickly this past year and exercise equipment needs to be updated to the needs of seniors. The managers budget for monthly supplies and maintenance is ridiculously low . There are mandatory guidelines established by the corporation rather than by the local manager which are not related with the desires of the local, Midwest residents. I would recommend the community to other families from the aspect of the people here, both in house staff and residents . The value of the actual living space is more the issue

They don't seem to be able to keep a maintenance man. There was a new one every few weeks. The activity director is wonderful, friendly, enthusiastic, and creative. The building is a nice no frills place to live. The long halls and lack of windows made it a little dreary. It isn't set up too well for handicapped people. The apartments have the space you need if you have a wheelchair but half the rooms have tubs. The only zero entry curbs are at the front door.

Staff is nice. Wish there were day trips of some sort. There are few tenants who want to be in charge. I have the largest apartment size. The walls are thin.

I know that a month after my mother in law moved in, there was a whole bunch of staffing changes. Rooms had up to date equipment. The facility was clean. And I loved how many people were playing games together. It gave the sense of community.

Very clean, only thing that I don't like is that I never get to park in front of my apartment. There's always someone else that parks there. I usually have to park several spots away

There is no care in this facility. No food provided. Activities promised but none so far. I have only been here a few weeks. Most noticeable are 2 things: not enough parking, and too much sound from other apartments.

The Staff are friendly, and accommodating. They are doing everything well and always smiling. Room sizes are ok... but small compared to the price and from what I understand will go up every year. The amenities are great.

I've been here for almost 3 months of a years lease so far. Kind of expensive for me only because I don't use the amenities in this particular connect 55 they have different amenities in different homes in the Kansas City Missouri area, but also many other towns across country. If you can afford the monthly rental, or depending on if you have the extra income to pay for a pet, or garage, which both cost extra wonderful place to live. I am going to move after my lease only, only because I can find a different place more for my minds age. I'm still on the go alot. In 10 or 15 years I'd love to return.

External waste container should be larger or emptied more frequently. There are monthly group outings for dinning which is nice. There is an on site maintenance man to help change light bulbs and fire alarm batteries.

There seems to be a bug problem in the building. Otherwise the building is very clean. I think it could be a little cheaper like around [removed] for what the apartments are like and what is included. We would recommend this community to other families based on the experience we have had so far.

More value and personal choices than most. Nice apartments and affordable. The only place found that offered what I was looking for. Some of the other places were actually very frightening.
