Bad food - not good. Big turnover in employees. Left hand doesn't know what right is doing. NO communication in front office. Food is terrible. Residents not told who resigned, so we stumble around looking for them and then "not employed here".

Food is not good - terrible. Veggies cooked to pieces, too mushy. Large employee turnover, can't keep chefs or others either. In 6-7 months never satisfied more than 5-7 times with the food.

Our family had an in person tour and it is an older community, not as neat and clean but very friendly people We did like how the residents have their own individual cottages, but the amenities were much less compared to others communities we toured.

Palagio was good, but way overpriced for what they had to offer. It's a beautiful building, and that’s about it.

We had a bad experience at Lake Forest Park. There was no one there to let you in the building after 7 pm. The food was okay. They lost my mom in the building and had to call the sheriff. They had a lot of turn over in staff. I would let them know what needed to be done for my parents and it would not get done .

My mother has lived there for over two years and she is incredibly unhappy. Biggest complaint is the food. Chicken 5 nights a week doesn’t cut it. She said there have been countless discussions with management concerning this but nothing changes. Meals are incorporated into the rent, so if they are not taken advantage of then money is being thrown away. They will not let the residents out of the meal plan.

I was not impressed with this community at all. I felt it was not as clean as it should have been. The environment seemed to be very hectic people rushing around. It just didn't seem like it would have been a good fit for my dad.

My dad is a resident of independent living. He does not like the food and there are not enough choices for him to have a meal. Sandwiches yes....Meals NO. Also he has a dog that he walks outside on the grounds and said there are way to many leaves on the GROUNDS and lately with all the rain he is afraid of FALLING.

My grandmother lives in the villas and she is so scared that she wants to move!! There is not enough lighting on the property, especially around the clubhouse, making it impossible to do anything in the evenings. [removed] No one in the "big house" seems to know what is going on out in the villa and if they do...they do not seem to care. We are looking for another place for her. Safety is our main concern.

When mom and dad first moved in, it was delightful. In 2 years, there have been 4 managers, 4 head nurses, and at least 5 chefs. Prices went up, service and food quality went down. Mom passed with out even so much as an I'm sorry for your loss. Very disgusted.

We never physically saw the facility. Our daughter did a tour and had on video phone. We were impressed with the facility so we decided to move there after the first of the year [date removed]. The representative that took care of us, [name removed] [name removed], was very helpful and considerate. He told us they were running a special in [date removed], if you signed up by [date removed], you would get 3rd and 10th months free. My wife, [name removed], had been in the hospital just before Christmas. We thought she would have a normal recovery and we thought we move in by end of January. This being said, they were very thoughtful by letting us have January free. So the last week of[date removed] we paid a community fee of $[fee removed]+ February's rent of $[fee removed]. This is where the trouble started. [name removed] recovery took longer and more complicated. I started having serious back issues so we came to the conclusion that neither of us was in any shape to be making a move of this magnitude. So we had given them $[fee removed] in December and it was now the end of February, so we had to give them March's rent ([fee removed]). In each March, [name removed]was diagnosed with colon cancer. I spoke again with [name removed] and explained all our issues. I asked him if could treat this as a move out. The problem with that was you have to give them 60 days notice. I asked if that could be waived due to our circumstances. He referred me to the general manager a lady named [name removed]. I asked her if they could waive the 60 day notice. She conferred with corporate and they agreed to waive the 60 day notice but we would have to pay March's rent of $[fee removed], which I unfortunately did. So now we have given them $[fee removed] They did agree to refund us the community fee of $[fee removed]. I then asked if they could refund the whole amount due to our circumstances. She said that we signed a legal contract and they could not refund the full amount. So that ends up to us having paid them $[fee removed] for absolutely nothing.

First, I must say that I run two businesses. I was looking forward to stopping by and checking out the facility. My mother is currently at an absolutely beautiful facility with EXCEPTIONAL staff, but we wanted her to be closer to our home. Upon arriving, I was greeted by two young small children standing at the desk. I had to speak up to ask for some help from an “adult.” I then had to ask if there’s anybody that could answer some basic questions. It seemed like a bother to the young person who came out to help me. Then, another woman came out who had brought the children to work and was unable to answer basic questions. I was told she was the office manager. She then said that she would try to see if the marketing director was available. I waited in a side room and upon entering the room, the “Marketing Director” was snide and rude. She asked me if “I had an appointment?” I could not believe my ears. I was walking in and was essentially about to give them business…..

Do not move your parents or loved ones into this place. I just visited my grandma, and im gonna talk to my parents into moving her out of here. She was telling me how she loves the friends she's made and how the activities people are so much fun, but then she began to tell me how the front door has been broken since before Christmas, and that during that time it was extremely cold throughout the building. Apparently there is no heat. The building AC is constantly being worked on so it affects everyone's AC as well. This past week they shut the water off to the building and the electricity went out. She also told me the most disturbing story of someone dying during lunch one day, and the staff moving her body back to their apt. I dont know who is running this place, but jeez they need to be fired.

My second worst experience since selling my home and becoming an old lady who is homeless. Rent raised 12% with only 2 months notice over the holidays and health plan reviews. I loved it here. Perfect for me and my two little rescues. I don't think it is good to grow old in FL unless you are rich or have much family to help. Too bad because the staff who remained after sale of property are absolutely the very best and the living conditions are wonderful and the site incredible. But new management does not care. 90 year olds that have lived here for eons are now displaced. An 92 year old told me yesterday that she has about 2 years of funds left but perhaps she can die before then. She has no car and no family, living at Glenbrook for more than 10 years.

To sum it up I wouldn't take my dog there. It was a terrible experience, I did my research and was advised was one of the better places in Fort Pierce. Up to a point it was decent, and unfortunately while mom was there it was not a good experience. The administrators are dishonest I believe. Took forever to get her pain medication and she ended up with multiple bed sores as she wasn't turned in her bed. Just a horrible experience all around, not recommended.

My Grandmother has been there 3 months. We are pulling her out ASAP. No Easter Dinner was done for the Residents. My Grandmother cut her self and they didn’t have a Band-Aid to offer her. The van doesn’t work so she has missed important Dr appointments and relies on her elderly friends to do her grocery shopping. She was taken by ambulance to the hospital and I was never notified. She was double charged for services and they literally nickel and dime everything. If you want to eat your meal in your room you have to pay for it. I understand the facility is under new management, however it was under the new management where they couldn’t provide a simple Band-Aid when my grandmother cut herself. I just never got that warm fuzzy feeling I should’ve got when placing my grandmother in their care.
