My loved one was there a short period of time, and passed away. We got her settled in, and after that things were shut down due to COVID-19. They requested for me to bring more clothes. I talked to the Hospice Nurse, and she was fine, and when were finally able to visit the facility smelled like urine, and it did not smell like that when we initially visited. They had not washed any of my loved ones laundry. They tried to give my loved one pills/medication while she was comatized. It was a horrible experience, and they treated my loved one horrible. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

management team made a decision to not accept my father back after being hospitalized. Social worker at hospital was confused and surprised as he has worsening dementia, and Wyndemere suddenly decided not to accept him back, but never contacted his POA directly. Nice workers, but clearly understaffed to do a good job of caring for your Loved One.

Our loved one declined in weight quickly due to the lack of care and assistance with eating. The community overall was grossly understaffed. Due to staffing the community lacked cleanliness, and there were several times that there was a severe odor that would travel up the elevator shaft to higher floors because the staff weren't cleaning the rooms, or bathing the residents. Our loved one wouldn't get assistance with medical concerns that the family notified the community with in the beginning, and this wasn't happening. There were times that the only staff in the community were from agencies and quite a bit of turnover because of the staff not being in the community permanently. The admin team kept telling the family that things would get better, when the family would bring concerns to the director's attention. The community has since changed directors, since my loved one has moved in. The community had a comprehensive calendar of activities; however, they would have to cancel activities due to the lack of staff not to be able to assist the residents.

The care is not consistent. Day-to-day care does not happen on a regular basis. Needs are not met. Family members have to advocate for their loved ones on a daily basis. And the cost is not worth what you get. I have been very dissatisfied with our family's experience at Hawk's Ridge. There is a high rate of employee turnover. Employees are not knowledgeable about what their job is. More training is necessary, and employees need to be paid for what they're doing, which is not happening. The high cost of living goes to upper management and not toward the service and care of the people who actually live there.

My wife and I AGREED with their staff to go there. She made her plans to travel to Europe to see her ill mother. After all was settled, the facility changed its mind and refused us. Be careful - when dealing with them.

I do not recommend this facility. My mom has lived there over a year and every month since she moved in has gotten worse and worse. Frontier management has fired/replaced all but one of the former employees to cut costs. The culinary department has no direction and although they supposedly have food handlers cards, that's about all the qualifications they have. They make sandwiches for dinner at least 6 days a week. My mom is so unhappy! Avoid this facility!!!

My sister is in the memory care section and they simply place them in front of a TV and call that an activity. the staff has constant overturn, and they don't really care about the residents. Every second available they are simply on their own personal cell phones, not attempting to interact with residents. I spent 2 full days there and that is what I observed. I saw a lot worse actually. I will be moving my sister out of there soon.

Severely understaffed. Bad management.

We showed up for our tour and they did not even know that we were coming - we had to wait for forever to talk to someone. When we walked in there was that classic nursing home stench. We had visited another facility before-hand and it was just night and day difference. We knew right away that we did not want our loved one to live here. It was also more expensive, the value for the money just did not seem to be there.

The friendliness of the staff members really depending and varied on who you spoke with and the same goes for the care services. We felt the did not evaluate potential clients very realistically which was part of the reason why our family was so disappointed with our experience.

This is on the one in Lagrande OR. They are always telling they cant feed or answer pages to rooms in memory care because they are understaffed. Family has dropped by after 1 to be told they haven't brought food because they are understaffed. They never give water or water pitcher. They rarely do any activities with memory care. I am reporting them and see they have been reported in the past. DO NOT TAKE YOUR FAMILY HERE. BAD

Bad place to live or work. Poor management. 1 good care person don't know her name, but shes a black girl part of the care team. She definitely made me feel like this is the place. The only one actually that I feel I can depend on with the needs of my dad. I honestly would not recommend this place to nobody. It is the bottom of the barrel living. I have to reiterate that management is horrible and should seek new positions in a field other than assisted living and dementia/Alzheimer's because they are indeed clueless about these mind diseases. Again that one girl makes the experience worth it. I think if she wasn't there, my dad would not be there. Honestly!!

No 24 hour nurse. No ED on duty!

First and foremost the residents were all nice and kind. A few residents companions, as they call them, were also kind and made attempts to greet and introduce themselves. My daughter and I had been speaking with the facility manager [Removed] for a few weeks about the placement of my mother into the facility. I had set up a meeting with [Removed]. When we arrived we were greeted by the receptionist who directed me towards the assistant administrator who stated that [Removed] was busy talking calls in her office. I was caught off guard because our initial walk through was scheduled to be [Removed]. In any case the assistant administrator was very nice and gave me a tour of the facility which I wasn't so impressed with. There was a strong odor of feces in the hallways where the residents reside. The Wellness nurse also spoke with us for a brief period as he was assisting with residents. I can't recall his name but it's nice to see the manager gentleman hands on with the residents. I was taken by the kitchen and introduced to the cook [Removed] who was very kind and explained how the meals were prepared fresh daily. I then went to the back where I think it was called the Alzheimer's Unit, again the smell was horrible. A resident was asleep on the couch and other residents were asleep at the dinning table. As we walked through to the TV room, it was if no one had bothered to clean up after lunch. Pretty disgusting. There was food spilt all over the floor and the table had juice spilled over. Finally as we proceed back towards the Assistant Administrators office we pass [Removed]. The assistant had tried to introduce my mother and myself to her. It was a very awkward introduction. As if she was uninterested or preoccupied. Extremely rude. Needless to say we have since settling my mom into a different local assisted living community. Our search for the perfect place for mom was not an easy but I hope this review helps others to not waste their time as I did.

The facility is not good at reimbursement of money owing. Under [Removed] management this facility ran much better. My mother's quality of care dropped & this facility was not capable of caring for her. There is not enough employees for the amount of residences.

I am very disappointed with the care this community has provided my loved one, they are very under staffed and very disorganized. The staff are not attentive to my mothers needs and sometimes it takes her up to an hour to get a response once her call light has been pressed. The food is bland at best and have no organization in the dining room. I am very concerned about the well being of my loved one and hope there are major improvements made soon.

They don't provide the care they "sell" to you. The administration is misleading. The caretakers are nice, although their care skills are seriously lacking. Understaffed. Terrible food. Activities are ok. Oversight is poor with neglect of basic care.

Half the time Green Tree does not pay its workers. People go weeks and even months without checks. I would spend my money elsewhere.

They told us everything and showed us everything that we wanted to hear - however once we signed on that dotted line and moved our loved one in, it was completely different. It was a total bait and switch situation, no help was ever offered to our family.

Here’s the truth: The psycho director [name removed] is a chronic liar and a cheat. The staff and management are afraid of his retaliation, so they go along with his unethical ways and spontaneous rules and demands. Run away from Hawks Ridge as fast as you, your friends, or your beloved relatives can. It’s a twisted environment, with ever changing rules, and attitude from the management. The truth is that the people running Hawks Ridge don’t care about the residents, they treat it only as their job, with no acknowledgement, dignity, or respect of it being your relatives “home”. Please DON’T let them get their dirty, greedy claws on your loved ones!
