The community works well with the family of the residents and staff. They are very understand of the resident's issues and working with my loved one. The room is a decent size that my loved one is in. My loved one has their own bathroom, larger walk in closet.

Mom has been at Elmcroft for six years and has been very happy! The facility is bright and cheerful as are the staff. She has been well cared for and made to feel special and at home. I would highly recommend Elmcroft.

This community has been very good, we have been so pleased with this community.The staff has done a very good job with taking care of the residents. When we first looked at this community we had only positive things to say about it. There were no fowl smells, everything looked very clean and well kept. It was hands down a good place for our loved one, and financially it was still in our ball park. As far as we know the activities are excellent but because of COVID we are not able to go in and see the residents. They can only come out of the their room for doctors appointments or to visit with their families for 30 minutes by appointment. However, they did have to stop that temporarily due to someone testing positive for COVID, but they have only had one person test positive at this community and they immediately quarantined them.

My sweet Mom has been a resident of Elmcroft in the Chronicles Wing for a little over a year now. My sisters and I really grieved over the thought of Mom being in a facility. We had taken turns caring for her in our homes, giving up our work positions because we felt we could do the best job. When Mom fell and got a bad UTI, we almost lost her. She spent a good week in the hospital in Richmond and then a rehab facility after that. We really had to face reality, admitting that we couldn’t continue her caregiving in our homes. After carefully considering the options available, we settled on Elmcroft. We immediately knew it was a special place. One just knows when folks are sincere or just trying to put on a good face to make an impression. When you find out that many staff members have been with a facility for years, you know there is much more invested than just a pay check. They truly care about the residents and treat them like family. During this Covid 19 Pandemic, the Activities Director, [name removed], has faithfully made FaceTime calls with Mom for both my sisters and myself. We might not have been able to visit in person but to see that smile on your loved ones face just warms your heart and gives confidence that they are being loved and taken care of. An Assisted Living/Memory Care facility may not have been in the plan for our Mom, but she is happy, is thriving, and we are very grateful for the Elmcroft community!

The people at elmcroft are amazing. They made it seem so easy to get my mother in law in their memory care unit. They didn't pressure us at all.

There is not enough space to write all that I would like to say in praise of this place. I volunteered here several years before I came to live here. I have been here 9 months and find the staff always ready to help me with any problems I may come up with. The nurses and aides are both efficient and friendly with there service. Also, the front porch is a great place to relax!

I feel honored to be living here at Commonwealth Assisted Living. The staff make me feel like part of the family. They always treat me so nice. The food is great. I enjoy the daily activities.

I have been here five years. And thank God for every one of them. I do not believe there is another facility to equal the love and care I have received. Commonwealth is the haven of God's angel.

My mom enjoys independent living. She has a two bedroom apartment with a view of a pond. She has lived there for 5 years now. They offer assisted living if she needs to make a move over time. I am pleased, and she is happy.

Had a virtual tour of independent living, a one bedroom apartment. It was very nice and clean. I am thinking we will move my sister here after the new year.

My brother recently moved in. It seems to be a good fit. I was new to all this and overwhelmed but they made the process simple and quick.

I have seen and toured many facilities in the Richmond area. We chose Elmcroft of Chesterfield because it is a smaller facility that allows for a more family like placement. Also. it is all on one floor which allows for accessibility for the dining facility, courtyard, and lobby with less stress for the residents. The room sizes are adequate, she has a private room and has her tv, 2 recliners, a bed, dresser, it is definitely big enough to make them feel like they have their own space. They have a private chef who prepares all the meals, he knows the residents on a personal bases and interacts with them and takes to heart their needs and recommendations. My mother has never complained about the food and family members are always welcome. During COVID they have been on top of the game. There is some room for improvement on activities. I have recommended Elmcroft to every person my age looking for assisted living placement for their loved ones. The executive director is very hands on who is present and available to participate in the care of your family member.

Mom moved in here in August of 2020. She is in memory care and we have had zero concerns. We have been doing outdoor visits with her and getting updates as needed. She seems to be doing well each time I visit. The staff are always upbeat which is a nice to see. I would recommend Addington Place at East Paris to anyone looking for a memory care facility for their loved one.

My mom didn't participate in any of the activities, but they had them available. Some of the activities were: bingo, checkers, movie night, outside singers. They did have a common area that my mom would go socialize with other residents. The staff was very friendly. The size of the room was only if you had two people in a room it was a little crowded. I could leave my mom there and it made me feel that it was a good place to leave her. She always says the girls were so nice.

We didn't really have any knowledge about the activities they had at this community. Personally we never ate there but i believe my mom said the food was just okay. The rooms they had at The Landing were pretty good in size. We would recommend this to a family or friend.

All employees are very friendly and accomodating.

The staff has gone out of their way to keep my mother safe during this COVID019 pandemic. They have tried very hard to keep things running as normal as possible in the Memory Care unit to keep the people that live there calm and safe while updating their concerns, also. They have done an outstanding job under a lot of pressure!

We had a great experience. I have recommended them a number of times. Rooms sizes were good, my parents had a one-bedroom unit. The food was really good. They worked with me as my parents aged and their tastes changed.

Everyone at Gloucester House is treated as family. All interactions are informal while maintaining very strict professional standards.
