I have the pleasure of working with several different facilities and meet and see staff members everyday. You can always see the facilities where the staff treats the residents as family. That is what I have seen when I have been at Addington Place. The administration team is so knowledgeable and helpful. You will be happy to have your loved one at Addington Place.

We were able to walk through the lobby and it seemed to be pretty clean. Everything seemed fine and our loved was happy there. The staff was really pleasant and the sales agent was wonderful. We chose Commonwealth Senior Living because it was recommended to us. The apartment sizes here are very spacious and easy to get around in. He has his own back porch big enough for a grill and outside table. He moved in once covid started but I know they take them on trips and things like that. They have just started making arrangements for residents to get their shots. I do not have to worry about him which is very nice. Overall, we have had a good experience and would recommend to others who are looking.

I work in the industry and have seen multiple positive changes made in the community with regard to its employees and their commitment to making resident care the top priority. I'm told that new ownership will be making many improvements and upgrades in the coming months. It will be exciting to see those come to fruition.

Wonderful community with friendly, professional staff. The size is just right as it’s not too big to care for residents but offers enough personal amenities. Aaron was very knowledgeable and answered questions thoroughly. He even recommended funding resources for Veterans.

Was very impressed with tour and facility. Nice rooms, amenities and staff seemed very capable and competent. Tina did a great job of showing the property and the amenities. Facility is very high on consideration list based on this virtual tour.

I moved my husband to Gloucester House at the beginning of the year and after an adjustment for both of us, I couldn't be happier. They call me and keep me updated on changes, they recommend extra care needed and always run it by me first. They show love and care, laugh with him, and let me talk to him while I can't see him.

I enjoy the Devonshire very much. Fellow residents are great and friendly. I've been here a little over seven years. The food is good and enjoyable.

I've only taken a virtual tour due to covid but it looks nice & clean & staff are welcoming. [name removed], the marketing director, has been wonderful! She is very easy to talk to & is so encouraging. She texted me during covid to check on how we were doing since my mom lived with me at that time. She has been very helpful. We ended up picking this facility. They were so easy to work with & it's 15 minutes from my brother's & daughter's home. So far my mother is really thriving there. I'm glad we chose this facility.

This community has an entire schedule that shows all the activities they offer for that week, and before COVID they would take the residents out to eat at different restaurants. The rooms they have there are very clean, nice and roomy. The food is great, and the chef is great.

My loved one is very happy at this community. There is a new activities director, and they have great activities for the residents. I would highly recommend this community. If I would need this type of community, I would go there myself.

The community works well with the family of the residents and staff. They are very understand of the resident's issues and working with my loved one. The room is a decent size that my loved one is in. My loved one has their own bathroom, larger walk in closet.

Mom has been at Elmcroft for six years and has been very happy! The facility is bright and cheerful as are the staff. She has been well cared for and made to feel special and at home. I would highly recommend Elmcroft.

This community has been very good, we have been so pleased with this community.The staff has done a very good job with taking care of the residents. When we first looked at this community we had only positive things to say about it. There were no fowl smells, everything looked very clean and well kept. It was hands down a good place for our loved one, and financially it was still in our ball park. As far as we know the activities are excellent but because of COVID we are not able to go in and see the residents. They can only come out of the their room for doctors appointments or to visit with their families for 30 minutes by appointment. However, they did have to stop that temporarily due to someone testing positive for COVID, but they have only had one person test positive at this community and they immediately quarantined them.

My sweet Mom has been a resident of Elmcroft in the Chronicles Wing for a little over a year now. My sisters and I really grieved over the thought of Mom being in a facility. We had taken turns caring for her in our homes, giving up our work positions because we felt we could do the best job. When Mom fell and got a bad UTI, we almost lost her. She spent a good week in the hospital in Richmond and then a rehab facility after that. We really had to face reality, admitting that we couldn’t continue her caregiving in our homes. After carefully considering the options available, we settled on Elmcroft. We immediately knew it was a special place. One just knows when folks are sincere or just trying to put on a good face to make an impression. When you find out that many staff members have been with a facility for years, you know there is much more invested than just a pay check. They truly care about the residents and treat them like family. During this Covid 19 Pandemic, the Activities Director, [name removed], has faithfully made FaceTime calls with Mom for both my sisters and myself. We might not have been able to visit in person but to see that smile on your loved ones face just warms your heart and gives confidence that they are being loved and taken care of. An Assisted Living/Memory Care facility may not have been in the plan for our Mom, but she is happy, is thriving, and we are very grateful for the Elmcroft community!

The people at elmcroft are amazing. They made it seem so easy to get my mother in law in their memory care unit. They didn't pressure us at all.

There is not enough space to write all that I would like to say in praise of this place. I volunteered here several years before I came to live here. I have been here 9 months and find the staff always ready to help me with any problems I may come up with. The nurses and aides are both efficient and friendly with there service. Also, the front porch is a great place to relax!

I feel honored to be living here at Commonwealth Assisted Living. The staff make me feel like part of the family. They always treat me so nice. The food is great. I enjoy the daily activities.
