My father signed on about a yr ago Originally entered as Assisted Living resident but tanked quickly and belonged in Memory Care However there were financial matters regarding taking funds for non provided services we were in middle of legally seeking remedy and then they made me hire a lawyer, promise not to go after them for the fraud or they wouldn’t take care of my Dad in Memory Care They billed [removed] extra because a few bags were left in upstairs unit when they moved him down to Memory Care Then they tried to take another [removed]k two weeks later after [removed]k close out Assisted Living unit The Diner was a big factor in picking THIS home and they just closed it yesterday with no warning My Dad now is in Memory Care but he barely gets attention because he stays in his room all day They let him “ dress” self to point he is shoving a dozen Depends down his pants to prevent leaks?!?!?! I have no choice with how bad he is but to keep him at this home but he has spent the last year there falling

Overall it has not been a good experience. The apartment was supposed to be move-in ready. It was not. The kitchen faucet leaked so the maintenance man replaced it, but he put the new one on backwards. It took a month for him to fix that. The water heater had a gas leak. It took a few days for him to have the gas company look at it. He was told what part to replace, which he did but he never had it inspected afterwards. It still leaked. A month later they came to check the gas appliances and discovered we still had a leak. He replaced it that day. He never did have the gas company check it. I called them a week later to come check it. So, we lived over a month with a gas leak. The staff is overwhelmed and inefficient. I did not get a copy of my contract for two months after moving in. On a scale of 1-5 I would rate it a 0

The coordinator was very accommodating. She came to our house, explained their services. Later, after signing papers she was there to greet us as we dropped off my mother in law for 5 days of respite care. I told her we forgot her toothbrush, and asked if I should go pick one up before dropping her off. She said they would take care of it. She took us to her very nice bedroom with plenty of room, and had another helper take her to the library in the building and we departed. Five days later, I texted the coordinator and let her know when we would arrive to pick up [name removed]. When we returned, employees brought [name removed] down wearing someone else's clothes that were too short, and in bare feet. We asked for her bag of clothes, and the employee was not aware of any bag. We described it and they went up to go look for it. The coordinator had been sitting in her office and could hear the conversation and I was surprised she did not assist. The employees found her bag with clothes missing. We took her home and her breath was foul smelling as though her teeth had not been brushed the week she was there. I know My mother in law can be a tough customer as she has agitative dementia, but I figured they were experienced with agitation. Maybe they were letting us know they did not want [name removed] to return, and I understand that.

The quality of living at The Quarry has declined greatly since it was acquired by Cogir in 2003. Increasing prices have accompanied losses of services and privileges. Hourly workers are overworked and poorly trained. Management just announced arbitrary cost increases.

They lied about some of the service that my sweetheart was getting. They said they would have someone in at night in the room and they didn't. He fell 5 times in two weeks so they weren't watching him very good or not at all. Probably he complained about the food.

From the few weeks since Cogir took over, they've had a huge turnover in staff and many residents have left. Their communication is also been horrible. The business manager tried to apologize to me after I've emailed her three times and could never get through to the phone because her voicemail is always full. Paperwork has been lost, and they overcharged my mother $[Amount removed] on the last bill and still have not figured out why. So at this point I would not recommend it at all.

AVOID it. The assisted-living apartments are nice, but the memory care facility is beyond horrible. Failed to give prescribed medications for a month until it was caught, that's the biggest issue. Lots of other issues, just with the lack of care and having one caregiver present to take care of all residents.

The overall experience is a 1. The facility is very clean. The staff is friendly. The quality of care is a 2 and depends on the caregiver. [Name Removed] is amazing, but there was a time I came after church at 10 and no one had gotten her out of bed. She was still in pajamas, was wet, had not been taken down for breakfast, and did not have her hearing aids in. They have changed administrative staff five times in one year. The food is a 1. Mom doesn’t like it, but she is mostly liking fruit now. For activities, I’m not sure. They seem to have a good list, but Mom has dementia and doesn’t want to go to anything. The value is a 1. They are charging [Amount Removed] a month for her to take one thyroid pill by a med tech, which I give her when I get her dressed, and I’m a nurse, but they thought the med tech was better.

Billing and Financial Issues Residents and families have reported problems with billing, including unauthorized charges, misplaced funds, double billing, and difficulty obtaining refunds. Automated payment plans have been criticized for giving Cogir access to residents’ bank accounts, and late fees are sometimes applied unfairly due to short notice on billing statements. In our case it appears that they have charged for services not provided including charging for services many weeks after my mom passed away! It has been beyond difficult to resolve the matters. They NEVER respond. They simply ignore. I am still trying to get it resolved now 8 weeks later. Prior to this we reported them for charging for services multiple times not performed to the State of Washington. Rebates and refunds were then given. I suggest you avoid COGIR and the Port Townsend location.

My family member lived at Cogir. Died there too. Horrible place. All of the money goes to corporate people and/or remodeling. There is 1 visitor parking space available. The staff is great but it’s horribly understaffed. Management changes frequently so if 1 promises you anything, it’s worthless. You pay more to have your food delivered to your door than it would cost for Uber Eats and may take hours to be delivered. Don’t leave your family member her unless they are fairly self mobile and can get out. It looks pretty, with gardens, etc. but the care is poor.

Cogir at the Quarry is the worst memory care facility in the country. Horrible doctor and way under staffed.

Its all laid out in my review. The nursing staff was uncooperative and unprofessional. The sales rep had to be contacted multiple times just to receive the basic promised level of care.

It was a HORRIBLE experience. They should be sued for the way they treated my mom. I'm still contemplating whether to report them to the state unfortunately. Choose ANOTHER COMMUNITY!

It has been good. Very nice people. Unfortunately Mom needs more care than we initially thought so right now it's out of our price range but hopefully she'll improve and the additional costs will come down.

Awful place really awful. Do not recommend leaving your loved ones here. My father was a resident here for 4 months before I moved him somewhere else. Horrible parking for visiting guests. Unfriendly residents and the building inside smells like a litter box. The lady at the front desk is completely useless. She is sweet but quite literally knows nothing about anything. I am not sure if she pretends not to know so that she doesn’t have to do anything or if she just needs more training. Even simple questions, she says that she doesn’t know and will not help you. The front desk should be knowledgeable about how things run and where things are. I kept asking them to fix the leak under my Dad’s sink and it never got fixed even though they kept reassuring me that it was fixed. I had to keep a bucket under the sink that I had to empty daily for his entire stay. Spend the extra money and go somewhere else in Manteca.

Everyone at Solista from staff members to some of the residents were very friendly and receptive.. The lunch was great!! [name removed] took us on a tour of the main building and then we looked at the studio and 1 bedroom apartments. [name removed] is very upbeat and informative and we did not feel pressured at any point We were sent home with a loaf of wonderful Zucchini bread and a pamplet containing all the pertinent information regarding the floor plans, prices, and information about their services and activities. I was very impressed Since then [name removed] has reached out to to invite us back for a follow up tour. I definitely will keep Solista in mind!!

The staff were unaware of us coming. They were not prepared with a gluten free meal and scrambled to come up with something. The director sat down with us before our tour and informed us that they do not provide gluten free meals, so we we did not take the tour.

Dirty facility. I watch the staff seat residents for lunch on filthy tables from breakfast. Dining area floors were still filthy with food from breakfast. My mom’s garbage was constantly full of Depends even though they said garbage should be emptied at each shift change. These were consistent issues not one off. I moved my mom out to a much better place.

The move-in experience was seamless and everyone was very helpful. I would recommend Cogir Queen Anne as a retirement venue. The location is superb, near to Seattle Center & the Space Needle. The neighborhood is walkable (even in the rain) and there are many eateries and a QFC supermarket nearby. The move-in experience was seamless and the staff very cordial.

I did not have a good experience there and would NOT recommend that facility. There was not effective communication between the facility and me. My mom's weight had gotten down to 92 without anyone letting me know.
