So far it seems to be going okay. I haven't gotten any complaints, and everyone in the family seems to be happy with it. They are doing pretty good.

The staff at Gracewood of Highland Park is exceptionally friendly. They do seem to be a little understaffed on the weekends though. My mother could also use a little more of a soft diet. They have that option, but it is either/or and she needs something in between. So there is a little room for some extra one on one special care and attention that she would benefit from, but for the most part everything is going well. They do a really good job, and they try to work out any issues that do come up. I am really glad we chose them.

This is still kind of new. So far she doesn't have any complaints. They are very helpful, and the activities are nice and they keep them busy. So far everything is good, it's just a difficult transition to make.

i its plesant the food is pretty goood i wish there was more parking but other than that mom love it there ive only been a few times but it is nice the place its very clean in out the staff is very very helpful with the people there i would like to see more activies but the over all is a 5

Really liked this facilities. My concerns were that while the base cost is less than others, the additional cost seem a little high. Also, as her health detoriates she would be moved to the memory care building, and the price tag is quite high, approx. $6200 per month. This being said, this place is not ruled out.

Things seem to be going well overall with White Pine Senior Living. It's a nice looking, pleasant community, and all of the staff have been friendly and easy to work with. I have no complaints at all about the service, and they seem to take great care of their residents.

It's going pretty good. It could be a little cleaner, but the staff is really friendly. I have a feeling that the value will go up for us as the Alzheimer's needs increase. I would like to see more fresh fruits and vegetables. I have brought this up and they are working on it. They seem to not have enough silverware and glassware, and they run out of juice pretty quick too. Other than that I am very pleased with them. I feel comfortable going on vacation.

The staff has been kind and considerate. We like the facility and the opportunity for interaction by my mom. Mom has adapted very well. Part of that is her attitude. But she likes it for the reasons stated above.

Seemed more like a nursing home and my Mom doesn't need that at this time.

We visited the White Pine in Blaine and it met all the needs to what we were looking for. The cost was welll within our range, the location was close for me to visit. We found the staff to be outstanding, and it offered lots of ammenities.

We have toured this facility and like it a lot.

We have been pleased with the staff and helpfulness of White Pine Senior Living, White Bear Lake. It's never easy making the decision to move a parent. However, the concern and involvement of the staff have made the move easier. The first night I left mom, was the worst. Everyone was so helpful for mom and her needs, as well as, reassuring that if we needed to talk to anyone about mom or our concerns, they would be available 24/7 to check on her or talk to us. It made leaving a little easier, as I knew mom was in good hands. My mom enjoys all the daily activities and seems to be doing better. On a recent trip out of town, it was reassuring to call the staff, when I wasn't able to contact mom in her room. They assured me that she was fine and was involved in one of the daily activities. Just knowing that you can contact someone who has seen and talked to your family member recently gives tremendous peace of mind.

This was a beautiful place but feel that because they do not deliver meals to the assited side , this will not work .

So far it is OK. A little disappointed with staff as there was an immediate turnover of help or it seems to be that way all the time. The one thing I didn't realize before moving in was that White Pines only has wall chords to pull on to summon help. They really need pendants but I don't expect that to change soon.

I love the idea that this is a mixed care facility, my husband is limited memory care, this situation allows him to interact with patients who do have cognitive abilities. He is frustrated with restrictions there, for his care. But the all over care seems adequate as far as his care goes. My big complaint is the food and how unappealing it is. Mealtime is sometimes the only thing to look forward to. There seems to be NO consideration between clients who eat very little, or need soft diets, and ones who still have a healthy appetite. I've brought my concerns to director and to staff and see no changes. Also with no activity director, there have been a serious lack of entertainment, and NO excursions since my husband moved in.

My cousin has been in this community for a short time now and she mostly enjoys relaxing in her apartment and coloring. We had a few issues with the staff at first with there not being enough caregivers through the night time. She also has not been to thrilled with the meals they serve, they defiantly could use some improvements. She keeps to herself a lot and i just wish the staff would encourage her more to get involved in activities.

The staff is taking good care of my father and he is doing well since the move. One of our frustrations is that they do not go get him for activities. I know if they ask, my father will refuse but they could tell him that they are taking him or just take him down to join. Also, there have been a couple of times that his bathroom has been out of toilet paper. Other than that, we are happy with the care and we like that there is a set fee, that's what drew us in.

My mother was off to a rough start with adjusting, but it seems that things are getting better. My mother was having trouble and fell while getting out of bed, but they put something on her arm so it alerts the nurses in the middle of the night if she tries to get out of bed, that was very helpful. I have a nurse there that I trust and can call.

My Mom has been at Gracewood for about 3 weeks. The nurse I worked with was great but unfortunately the day after my mother arrived was her last day. That resulted in confusion about my mom's care, missed medications, failure to change a dressing, meal trays that sat in my Mom's room for hours and my Mom appeared to be left for hours in the same chair. Two times I found her sitting at the edge of the chair with no means to contact anyone. The alert system is a pull cord on the bed so if she was in her chair she had no way of letting them know she needed help. We spoke with the house manager and interim nurse about fixing that. They mentioned they were going to tie additional string to the cord but never did it. My daughter finally did it last week. Overall I think they genuinely care about the patients but may be a bit understaffed. The staff we have worked with are very nice and seem caring. It is a new facility so it is nice and clean. I think now that Hospice is in visiting my mom her care has improved considerably. I like the visiting physician a lot. The food is not great for someone like my mom on a soft diet. My mom asked me to show them how to make mashed potatoes which is her main diet.
