The building was constantly being cleaned, the staff was keeping the residents occupied with activities. The manager was well informed and provided us with an activity schedule for the residents. One year out of pocket pay by resident as apposed to two year by most others before the elderly waiver paid for the stay. Visiting pets were welcomed. Warm over all feeling.

I am thrilled with it and my mom has been adapting very well. I think White Pine is best thing since sliced bread! I like the fact that they care about the people and the cost is all inclusive. It's a very well run place. I couldn't have hoped for better. Maybe her room could be a little larger but it actually might be better this way because it's fewer steps to take for her to get to the bathroom. So actually it's all good. My mom said they do everything right, so my observations meet her expectations. It's always hard to move, but White Pine Mendota Heights gave us huge support during the whole process. It's a very open place. Her door stays open during the day so it's a much more inviting community environment, which is good for her. We ate here before she moved in and found that the chef makes everything from scratch. They really make fresh food and that appealed to us a lot.

The price is all inclusive and the care is good. They interact with my wife very much. They have different activities every day. I've had nothing but a great experience with them so far. The food ahs been excellent.

It seems really decent and what I really like is anytime I've bene there and any of the staff interactions we've had, the peopel are extremely pleasant and attentive, they make his bed and clean his room and do anything they can to help him, they've been very accomodating. My dad felt more comfortable with the layout here, they've got plenty of activities offered, but my dad is kind of a creature of habit so when he gets more comfortable he'll proabbly particiapte more. Right now he's thinking about going to the luau, the families are invited and even if you want to come to lunch or dinner, they just ask that you give them a little bit of notice to prepare for the number of people and you subsidize them a little. My dad says the food is good, he likes the variety and he also likes the location. There's a walgreens right across the street and they deliver the prescriptions right to your unit and there's a rainbow grocery store so if you call them they'll bag your groceries for you and deliver them to you. They're very liberal with what they charge, they consider 2 meals a day normal and if you want breakfast you can pay for that too but they said that a lot of their residents snack and then have lunch and dinner but they said if dad wanted to, a couple of times a month, go down and have breakfast with someone they wouldn't charge him for that and they said if he wanted to bring his car and park in their heated garage they wouldn't charge him for it either unless more people started using it and they would have to reinforce the fee.

It's quite cheap compared to the others that we looked at. Being that it's brand new the cleanliness is very good. Much cleaner and newer than the other places. We've had no issues with the care so far. My father did slip and fall but they caught him on the way down and they called me right away. They're trying real hard over there. When I get there he's always grumpy which means they're making him do stuff so they're doing a pretty good job. All he wants to do is sit around all day and they're getting him up.

When we went to visit the people were wonderful. “Cottage Grove” is top of the line and exceeded all of our expectations. Plus the location is really good and close to home.

We chose White Pine Senior Living because of their location. They are close to our home. The staff is friendly and helpful. I's say overall my mother-in-law is happy there. We would recommend White Pine to others.

The people here really try to make the residents feel like this is their home

There is a new house manager and RN who do exceptional work with all of the residents. Mom is well-taken care of and the staff is caring and kind-they know what they're doing. I'm glad we chose White Pine because it is clean and cozy and not too far from home. The activities are great-mom loves music and Bingo which they have every week! The food is good, but sometimes mom wishes to eat in her room with the food I provide her. Our family loves White Pine because mom is doing well there. Thank you!

[removed] and I thank everyone at White Pine for giving our mom a good place to recuperate from her hip fracture until she could return home. We appreciated the use of the bed, table and bedside table also. We felt mom was well taken care as much as we could ask for. Thank you to everyone who helped her.

They offer quite a few activities including singalongs at this community. The staff have been good with my loved one. They are patient and helpful. The manager is personable, remembers me when I come in. They are aware of what is happening with my loved one and make sure my loved one has everything they need. The community is clean and the grounds are nice.

This facility is nice and always clean and well kept. It has a small, close knit community which makes it homey and like family here. The staff is exceptional and they are always great and going above and beyond what is expected of them.

I have never been to Gracewood of Highland Park personally. My sister moved our mother in there just about a month ago. Though I have not seen the place or met the people in person yet, everything I hear from my mother and sister has been very positive. Everything seems to be going very good.

I looked for 6 months at several twin cities locations for my 97 year old grandmother. She always had such a negative opinion of "nursing homes" from where she had seen her friends go in the 80's and 90's. It was so hard to convince her to visit a modern care facility. But upon her first visit to Gracewood, she loved it! Although she was only there a short time, she was well taken care of. The staff was great, Jan and Anita in particular. And the chef was amazing, he not only cooked great food, but talked to all the residents and visitors. The value for our family within budget and consistent from month to month without any surprises, a huge plus for all the aunts, uncles, sons, daughters and cousins involvolved. Since Gracewood had just opened, the activities were just being implemented so I scored just a bit lower on this category.

They are doing a good job. It's very clean, the staff is very kind and attentive. She doesn't always like the food. So far it's all been fine, there really isn't anything specific I would like to see improved or done better.

I recently moved my mother to Comforts of Home Assisted Living - Riverside. She is very happy there. She receives just the right amount of services, yet is encouraged to remain as independent as she possibly can.

My father was in memory care for just under a year. The staff, from the house manager, to the chef, to the nurses, and especially the immediate caregivers, all treated my father and our family with the utmost care and respect. We never encountered or observed any staff that was less than professional. In fact, we were happy to observe the staff being kind and helpful and even giving hugs or holding hands with the residents. The staff worked with amazing dedication in providing services to my father during the last week of his life. They worked so well with hospice care. The staff's attention to my father's needs during the last week of his life was exceptional. We are forever grateful.

Overall we're very pleased with how things have gone at this community! It's a great looking place, everything is always very clean and well kept. The staff have all been very friendly and professional. My parents rave about how friendly and helpful the girls here have been for them! They've also got a good variety of activities in their memory care section. The biggest complaint they've had is that since the memory care unit is the last stop when it comes to meal delivery the food and coffee often arrive cold.

I was looking for a place to move my mother where she could get more help than any of the assisted living places I had found were will to provide, but something short of a full skilled nursing facility. White Pines Senior Living was the answer. They're willing to give my mother help with bathing, dressing, getting to and from meals, laundry, housekeeping, ...,nearly everything at a flat rate (no ala carte adding of charges for each needed service). The staff has been friendly and attentive. At this point, I'm very happy with this choice.

The staff at White Pine were very positive in way they cared for the old folks at white pine. they were cheerful and professional at the same time. My family member had a problem with being depressed. The folks that run White Pine helped her stay positive.
