Claiborne Senior Living

Mom is acclimating very well, they were super helpful with the transition. It is a great place with wonderful staff members. The facility itself is beautiful and we love the atmosphere. I am always welcome anytime I want, and same for my kids. Mom really loves the food, I have had it as well and it is great. Overall it has been a great experience and I would absolutely recommend them to others looking.

It is expensive, but the community is very clean and the staff are very friendly. They have done a sufficient job taking care of our loved one. The meals are fantastic and even though our loved one does not participate in activities they are plenty of opportunities for the residents to get involve.

I would recommend the community to others.

My Father was diagnosed with stage IV lung cancer back in [date removed]. Both he and my Mother were requiring several trips per week to hospital (Forrest General), and I helped convince them that The Claiborne was the best place for them and their needs. They were able to make many friends there, and the fact that they were able to socialize with others in very similar condition as them really helped with their sense of NOT feeling sorry for themselves. Actually, they got involved in many of the activities that the staff at the Claiborne put on. The food was very good and they really had a sense of community there. In fact, I can honestly say that my Father probably squeezed an extra year of life out as a result of living here. My parents were happy, well cared for, and always looking forward to the next day. I can't think the staff at The Claiborne Independent living enough for everything they have done for my family. Thank you!

This was a beautiful community. It just was too expensive for us.

Our tour with Camellia Place was great, but they do not accept pets at all here so we went with another facility.

This is a real nice place. The staff and residents are friendly. Depending on the level of care your loved one may need this could be a good place for them. The food is pretty good for my loved one.

I tell everyone I know that they will not find a better assisted living than Camellia Place. My mom thought she was not ready but yesterday she said "Why did you let me wait so long?" That means the world. I'm happy and so is she, and that says it all.

No one has to ask me to say nice things about Camellia Place. I would do anything for them. There is nothing more important to me than my Dad. He says they do everything for him before he can even ask. He says he doesn't deserve it, but I know he deserves it all and more. Camellia Place is absolutely the best!

I loved the design of the household model from the moment I first saw it, but what a blessing in covid-19. My mom was not isolated to her room, she got to live in her house, eat meals in her home with her other house mates, and maintain her schedule of activities. Way to go Camellia Place!

I looked at every community within a 20 mile radius before selecting Camellia Place for my mom. Best decision ever! They deliver what they say they will and that is just so rare. This team truly cares and it shows. High 5's all the way around.

We're having a good experience. It's a new facility in a good location. Everything around us is very convenient. You have your bank, doctors, Walmart, drug stores, and restaurants all nearby. It's close to where our son works as well. They have a very good staff. I appreciate the Executive Director, Assistant Director, Community Relations Director, and all of the kitchen staff. Particularly the maintenance staff has been very helpful to us. But we appreciate them all. They're doing a good job. The food is very good. They have a wide selection for us, and they prepare everything individually to order. So you can substitute and get most anything you want. Overall I think the price is commensurate to what they provide for us.

I liked them. Due to Covid we didn't do much of a tour. The rooms are big.

We've had a very good experience. But my loved one is not active. She was in another assisted living facility when she was younger and able to partake in activities. I feel like the population at Brickmont is more sedentary than her previous facility. At Brickmont, there's not a lot of people coming and going, driving their own cars, that type of thing. And I don't see a lot of activities. That doesn't mean they're not happening. It just means I haven't seen much. So I would think if your loved one is more active, they might want to find a more active place. And that' s not a knock on Brickmont. That's just the current demographic of their residents. But as far as taking care of my loved one in her situation, they've been wonderful. She's really ill and doesn't get out of bed. It takes two people to help her get up and down. When she pushes the button, they're very attentive. I feel like she gets a lot of attention. Perhaps they have more caregivers per resident than some of the more active communities where residents are doing more things on their own. So I feel like she gets ample attention here.

The community is more than willing to work with us in anyway that we need them. Although my loved one wants to be at home, she has become very quickly accustomed to the people and care they are receiving. Everyone is warm and welcoming. The community is newer as they opened in October. I believe they are still working on the food. The community is willing to hear what the residents have to say about the food or any other concerns that they may have. The staff are quick to resolve any issues, questions, or concerns. The activities director is phenomenal. Even during the quarantine time frame the activities director would make sure the residents were outside of the doorway. This allowed the residents to participate in exercise and bingo daily.

Overall we're so happy with the decision of moving our grandmother to Brickmont Acworth.

There are not enough words of how to express the care, friendliness, and cleanliness of The Claiborne at Shoecreek. My mother is very well cared for. Her room is spotless and the place itself is immaculate. The nurses are always on top of her care physically and mentally. I thank God everyday that we chose this facility. During the covid-19 they were very firm and caring for their residents. No outbreaks here for sure. I recommend this beautiful, clean, and loving place for anyone!!!! Brenda Felps

Overall a great experience. I’ve had the exact opposite of what a previous review describes of management. They’ve been very kind and considerate during what I would call a rough time for our family.

The staff were very friendly, the rooms are ample, and all utilities are provided. We don't have any complaints. The communication is good with the staff. It has been difficult during the pandemic to socialize with the residents. However, we are starting to get out an about more. They have lots of opportunities to get involved into activities here. There is transportation for residents that would like to use it.
