It's a pretty good community, and I feel comfortable with my father there. The staff is very friendly and caring. They do invest in the facilities but I would like to see more staff for the community. I would recommend this community to others.

The COVID-19 crisis has been a challenge to us all. Through it all, the Brookdale staff has done an outstanding job of keeping the residents as safe as possible and for taking care of their needs. They have done their best to keep us all informed of government policies, measures being taken by Brookdale to comply with those policies, etc... In addition, they have done their best to allow residents to still visit with family members. And when it was necessary to restrict visitation, they acted in a prompt manner.

the community has a secure building and we feel like mom is protected there. It is clean, the staff and the other residence are very friendly and helpful. The room sizes are great, with a living room, dining room, kitchen, bathroom, laundry room, and 2 bedrooms. I would recommend this community to others.

This community has very friendly staff. They have tried hard to keep activities going. The facility is very nice, and the room sizes comparable to other facilities. The food was good in the beginning but is not as good now. I would definitely recommend this community to others.

We chose Brookdale Lowry because we got a pretty good deal and it seemed like a good fit. The staff members are always good with communication and let me know what is going on with my sister since I am not able to go visit. Before the pandemic she seemed to be participating in activities all of the time and they would send me pictures. It has been hard since we have not been able to visit during this pandemic.

I've been here for 4.5 yeas, but who is counting! I am so happy with the staff here as they are so accommodating. I have made many friends since there is something for everyone to enjoy. you can meet people from reading in the library, exercising, activities, to playing games. My children are so happy that I am here and safe during these difficult times. I especially want to give [name removed] a big thank you for personally bringing me books to read during covid! I read 13 books!!

Due to COVID there hasn't been to many activities, but beforehand they had beading classes where you can make jewelry, as well as painting and craft classes. My mother really enjoyed those two activities. Having been to a handful of communities this was the first one that felt like a luxury apartment first, before any sort of assisted living or staffed building. The initial impression was more of a normal living situation, everything felt very clean, modern, and recently renovated. My mother had a very unique medical situation and this community was the first and only place to really listen and give creative way to care for her and handle her needs. We felt the other places were not going to be well equipped for her, but this place really took the time to meet her and understand her needs and take a chance on incorporating her into the community.

I'm very impressed with the facility and the staff. It is a friendly and warm environment. I'm particularly impressed with the COVID response, very few cases early on, and nothing since. I will say, however, my mother complains daily about the food.

We feel this community could have more staff members, but regardless of that we would recommend this community to anyone who asked, family or friend. Due to COVID they don't have activities available, but beforehand there were plenty. They would take day trips to go out and socialize, there was board games and movie nights. The only complaint we do have is the amount of food being delivered, its all based on diet. For example our loved one only received a slice of pizza for lunch and that was it, so we do think the food portions are a little on the small side.

One thing that really stood out to us at first was the overall atmosphere it was very nice, the rooms are decent size. The food was very good, the portion sizes were nice and had a variety of food to choose from. We would recommend this community to a family or friend.

We chose this community because of the double assist and the location to us. The room sizes are comfortable. Our favorite part about this community so far has been the availability of the activities for different residents capabilities. I would recommend Voorhees Senior Living.

It has been tough because we haven't been able to visit my dad. The community has been overly strict with lock down which has had a negative affect on my dad. The residents are not allowed to co-mingle either and no outside visitors of any kind. We chose this community because it seemed very nice, clean, everyone was engaging and active, and my dad liked it. He likes his apartment.

The residents are very friendly. They made me feel as if I were at my own home. I like to stay to myself and they invite to do things with no pressure attached and it helps me to feel at home and comfortable. I enjoy how the housekeeper maintained my apartment. She does it exactly how I like it.

All together things are going alright. I have been easing in my stay as far as meeting people and signing up to do things. I have my resident ambassador helping me out things are really coming together. All the residents and staff are pleasant and helpful. I am enjoying my new apartment though it is taking me forever to unpack. I look forward to being more involved as I settle.

I have lived here a couple of years and really enjoy my apartment and the beautiful wooded area in our backyard. The food is good but I am on a special diet and on rare occasions I can't find something to eat at a meal. The activities are varied to meet everyone's likes.

When I was looking for a community for my mom, I visited several places in the area, and Five Star had the nicest environment, was the most updated, and felt like the closest approximation to a luxury apartment building. Also, Five Star was willing to assessment my mom, work with us, and accommodate her unique set of the needs. The nursing and administrative staff have been very friendly in accommodating our requests as well. They have nice amenities available for the residents including a gym, beautiful library, and a business center with computers and printers to use. The food is adequate, They offer a restaurant style dining experience with menus and a hostess. The dining staff are aware of each residents likes and dislikes. I am happy to have my mom in a safe and stable environment.

[Names removed] and others have been very helpful in this "part" of my life when I did not have my family to help me except my grandson, [Name removed], who encouraged me to live here. There are times I do not care for in meals and "aloneness" and need to talk and feel cared for of which I am thankful.

My only reason for giving it a 4 and not 5 is that culinary department could use improvement. Sometimes, there are items on the menu that they don't actually have. Now I used to work in that business, for several years so I am a bit picky. Don't get me wrong, I like [name removed] and this the staff likes him, i just thing he could use some help. [Name removed] is great, she is always hay and always has time for everyone. She also does a great job of keeping us entertained with activities.

Giving up one's independence is always hard to do no matter how good the situation is, given that, Lowry offer food, friends, and staff whose primary concern is the well being and health of its residents. Good food, conversation areas galore, and a variety of activities to get the interests of many residents, if they chose to take part.

I lived here for 2.5 years before leaving to have my back surgery. As soon as I was able, I came to Lowry. There was never a question as to where I wanted to live. The staff and workers are fantastic, everything is taken care of immediately. Brookdale Lowry is home.
