The interaction with the staff has been wonderful. They keep my loved one pretty busy. For the quality of care, and cleaniliness, the value for the money is worth it. They are very good with getting my loved one to interact with others, and keeping them invloved with things. Overall, they have been a blessing, and they have done nice a job.

This community is wonderful with my mom. The communication with the staff is nothing but great. They do offer activities like bingo, but my residents would like more and different game nights. Meals are served 3 meals a day with snacks in between, the food is so good and my mom loves it.

When my dad moved in a year ago, I had no idea what to expect. The team at (now) Columbia Landing has become like family to us. My dad has been doing so well there, he is content and thriving. The food is always tasty, my dad is a big fan of the desserts. Activities folks are great, I don’t know how they do what they do but they keep everyone busy! In a lot of ways this place has given parts of my dad back to me, at least more quality time with him and I appreciate that more than I can explain here.

I toured this community and it was a beautiful place. They had overbooked tours and were kind of in a jam. But they handled it wonderfully! I ended up doing my tour with the Executive Director and she did great! I really liked the staff, everyone was friendly and nice. A great community. It was definitely one of our top choices.

We picked this community because, of the value for cost and the person I spoke to on the phone, who gave me the video tour was very pleasant and knowledgeable.

I really like that l can call them and they are always there. Anytime you need something just call and they get to the point right away. The staff are also helpful and friendly. [name removed] up front is my go to person, she is just awesome and I love her. I would absolutely recommend this facility to others looking. As soon as we walked in my dad fell in love with the facility and we did not look anywhere else. Not only are the staff great, but the residents are super friendly and welcoming as well. That was one of the things my dad loved, he found a friend right when we walked in the door.

Their main meal is lunch, which is fine. For dinner, the choices are sandwiches, burgers hot dogs, and soups. Sandwiches are not appropriate when you need a low salt diet. Cheese and processed meat for burgers and hotdogs doesn't work for me. They used to have two entrée choices for lunch, but now they have one. I understand everyone has to make cuts and that you can always have a burger or hotdog, but that's not a choice for a low-salt diet. It was a tough change for my loved one. He tries to watch his salt and he's not a picky eater, but he has to be careful of what he eats because of his health. If they make something with creamed soup, that's worse than the processed meats in terms of salt. They used to have a chef salad, but now they only have veggie salad that comes with a slice of cucumber, tomato, and a sprinkle of cheese. I'm not happy with the dietary choices and the food cuts. The activities director is leaving and no one else is hired, so I'm unsure of what they're going to do. The effort, availability and what they offer is good, but participation is poor - which I can't blame on the staff because the residents here live a sedentary life. My loved one's brain is at 110% and no one who wants to play cards or games with him. His vapid plays checkers and other games with him, so he does get some activities in addition to me taking him out twice a week. They do offer an exercise program, which seems to have decent participation. It takes place between breakfast and lunch and it's not always run by the activities director, it's sometimes run by the house secretary. It's nice that they have a light weight exercise class that is appropriate for seniors. It's nice that they have that available and that it also has good participation. They have a church service once a week as well, and my loved one likes that. I'll reserve the rest of my opinions for their next activities director and what they will bring. My loved one needs assistance with minor care services, like putting on his socks. Sometimes he waits a while to receive assistance with that because of short staffing. Everyone is short staffed, but the staff we work with are very caring, and very professional. I love the staff and so does my loved one. They do care and they mean well. They try hard with the number of staff they do have available and overall they do well. In regards to billing: I know that they've just switched to electric billing, and they tell me the bill will be taken out of his checking account between the 1st and 5th of the month. He moved in several months ago and that's happened maybe one time. Oftentimes, it's two bills in a row and the second bill hasn't been taken out. When it is taken out, it happens way after the 1st of the month, like a couple weeks in. If they would take it out between the 1st and the 5th, it would be a lot easier for his spending. She will not allow me to speak with billing department, she says she has to speak with them. Although it's electronic, there has to be a better way because it's not working the way she's doing it. Right now he's on his second bill, and it still hasn't been taken out yet. I'm unsure of why something that is an electronic setup, is not being taken out on time; it's frustrating. I should not have to write out a bill every month, which is why we setup the electronic payment. The billing is very disappointing in that regard.

We are 5 months strong at Fieldstone. The bright cheerful community is very welcoming. The administration staff [name removed] are readily available and extremely helpful with everything. Since there is no manual for caring for aging parents. And Mom's care team[name removed] to name a few!. Are wonderful. The food is yummy hooray! We are thankful for everything. "Lifeloop" Since we have family that lives far away. And your activities team at Fieldstone.... Hats off to [name removed] You guys "rock" mom's world! They take mom on outings! No small feat as she is completely wheel Chair bound. But best of all for me, is their Beach Ball Therapy-Mom is actually raising her arms to swing at the ball. Best PT Ever is fun PT. Anyway, keep up the great work at Fieldstone! Sure glad we found you, because there is comfort in knowing Mom's last days are going to be "GREAT" days at Fieldstone!

I really don't even know where to begin other than from the start. Before we moved Mom into Fieldstone, we felt the love of the community - this love just grew - the whole time Mom was with you. We always felt respect and compassion, every time we walked through the front doors and were always greeted with a smile and or a hug. The foundation we built together for your care for Mom - just grew, every single day - right through the very end. If there was an issue - it was dealt with immediately, honestly and transparency. Honest open communication is something that is so important. While Mom often asked, "why am I here?" Our answer was always the same; "Mom, you have Alzheimer's and your doctors recommend 24 hour care. We are just 20 minutes away, you are getting loving care here at Fieldstone and you are SAFE." She agreed, almost every time and when she didn't ...well she was just in one of those moods. We often during visits heard Mom reassuring as stressed resident saying; "it is ok - you are safe here." Signing over the complete care for a venerable loved one is no simple or easy task. It is wrought with emotions and questions of timing and am I doing the right thing - now. We were never pressured only supported. [name removed] said, "we're here, we're ready and will love [name removed] when you're ready." That promise was kept. Over the past two years we got to know many of the residents and crew. We would often bring our Lab "Sadie" in our regular visits. She loved coming in and greeting so many of the residents - all the while, cleaning up the food scraps on the floor. As our visits often occurred around meal times. Residents faces would light up seeing a happy and familiar dog. When were in Mom's room, Mom would stroke Sadie's ears or she'd just go to sleep at Mom's feet. We all know how much Mom loves animals. Getting back to the foundation of our relationship. When COVID hit, I had complete confidence that your actions were always to protect the residents, then staff, and the business model will just have to adapt. You did the right thing - every single time. You closed the doors to visitors on [date removed], well ahead of state or federal guidelines. I never had concerns for Mom's safety - because we know the character of the management and care staff of the facility, Our faith in you and Mom's safety was never in question. As we all adjusted to life with COVID the communication with loved ones living in assisted or skilled facilities was a challenge. Not being able to have eyes on contact was difficult and taxing on us all. Throughout, we always knew Mom was safe. The daily updates from [name removed] were a solum reminder of what you all must have been dealing with - we are forever thankful for all of your efforts, given the personal and professional hell you must have endured. This was on display when I was in last week as Mom's condition declined rapidly. The communication from management, nursing and care staff was timely, professional and compassionate. Many of you came in to say your goodbyes to Mom. Many of you shared stories - some of you I met for the first time - others of you have been there from the start. From [name removed] tear filled eyes of attention and constant support, To [name removed], coming in with tears in his eyes telling me, "[name removed] - this is really going to be a tough one." To the nursing crew for your professionalism and compassion. To the genuine loving smiles from [name removed] and [name removed] , for the residents. To [name removed] and [name removed] just coming in with tears in your eyes to tell me thank you for sharing your Mom with us. We're going to miss her smile and humor. To [name removed] with his omnipresent grin. To [name removed] for stepping up big time during Mom's last night. I think her name is [name removed]- who, I'd not previously met. She sought me out and wanted me to know about her interactions with Mom. She told me about how her whole family contracted COVID because a family member was a nurse at the epicenter facility in Kirkland. Thankfully - all are well. What really got me is when she told me about how Mom always encouraged her to follow her dreams of becoming a nurse. [name removed] - you have been with us twice a week for Face Time and window visits for I don't know how long. You are truly an angel. [name removed] (I know you spell it differently), thank you for how you attended to Mom and made her feel special - from clothes to earrings and making sure she always had chocolate in her little red purse. Your love for Mom was truly a beautiful thing to observe - pre COVID right to the end. [name removed] - you are a pro and you do your job so well. When you came in to check and provide a bit more morphine, if necessary. We looked at each-other and agreed it will not be necessary. We new Mom's was passing. You asked me if you'd if I'd like to be alone or do you want me to stay. "Please stay", I said. We both kneeled and held Mom as she gently and peacefully passed. You said, "I'm not getting a pulse." I agreed and said she's gone on her way to see Dad. We stood up and both of us with tears in our eyes - we hugged. You said, "[name removed] i'm so sorry, I'm really going to miss your Mom." Me too, I replied. What I'm about to share is what I told [name removed] and with many of you before or after Mom passed. I said, " [name removed] you and this entire crew did your jobs with excellence and professionalism and so much more. When COVID hit and we could not come in to love on our loved ones. You didn't hesitate you picked up that ball and loved on Mom and her fellow residents when we could not. You carried that ball of love and did not drop it, even when you were going through personal and professional hell. We are so very thankful. You replied, "thank you very much - it is my honor." Theard so many of you say, with tears in your eyes - it is my honor. The whole Fieldstone team - we are so very thankful for everything that you have done to help us in caring for [name removed]. It has been our Honor to place this sacred trust it you. Love and forever hugs,
