After careful consideration, we made the difficult decision to move my mother from our home to a memory care unit in November 2023. We chose The Chelsea at New City (Atria). Our decision was made with the help of the Community Sales Director who guided us through every aspect of the process and continued to keep in touch with us over the past 5 months. The transition from home to the memory unit came with challenges for my mother but with the constant guidance of the unit Director and caring staff she has settled in nicely. Our family takes comfort in knowing that she is well cared for and is kept safe at all times.

They love the community there they really like the other people who live there they love the staff. The staff team at The Chelsea are very caring and capable workers.

Very caring staff, they listen to and work on nuanced concerns. Very good amount of aides always available. Improve meals-difficult to quantify as Mom said too salty but her taste sense is probably not what it used to be

I have had two wonderful experiences here. My mother lived independently at SG and enjoyed many of the activities offered by the recreation department. She loved the privacy of her studio apartment, private bathroom and balcony. She had plenty of opportunities to socialize when she wanted to. A few years later we need to find a place for my mother-in-law as it became too difficult for her to manage her life independently due to declining memory. I knew that all her needs would be met with compassion and dignity at SG. The dining experience provides menus with many food options and offers two different seating times for flexibility. Barbeques in the courtyard, monthly "take-out" luncheons and of course, holiday meal celebrations provide extra socialization among the residents. The place is clean and well-maintained with ongoing improvements. The staff is WONDERFUL! SG is a warm and caring community and we are lucky to have joined their family!

Somerset Gardens is absolutely great. Professional staff to guide and help you throughout the difficult process of choosing a facility for your love one. Questions were answered patiently and in detail. Residents looked happy and well care for. Overall everyone seems open to direct and help to fully support the residents as well as the families.

The staff was absolutely wonderful. I could not speak more highly of the Director, [name removed] and her team. Housekeeping was good, I was satisfied with it. But the woman down the hall kept wetting her bed and I was able to smell it. However, they did consistently clean it and they always had someone in there cleaning it. Their communication was excellent. The moving process was easy. They helped with whatever we needed. The meals were good, but my aunt was very picky. I would absolutely recommend people who are on the Mora side to the facility. There's no crystal chandeliers, but it is up kept beautifully and the staff is wonderful. You do not feel like you are slumming it in anyway.

Everyone there is very caring and professional. My Mom was there 15 years ago and we were also very Happy with everything. I would highly recommend!

When we walked into The Chelsea my dad was immediately at ease. He is settling in nicely. The entire staff is extremely helpful. They are a very caring community. My family is completely at ease knowing our dad is well cared for.

I am the sister of one of the independent living residents. I went with my brother to view Chelsea and found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. They answered all our questions and showed us a one bedroom apartment, as well as a two bedroom. I found Chelsea to be very clean inside, as well as outside. To the best of my knowledge the move in process went well. My brother was able to have furniture delivered to his room prior to moving in. I can't speak to the quality of the meals since I don't live there. I would recommend Chelsea to anyone who asks!

I would definitely recommend this facility, Mom is always spotless and dressed well. The meals are good and the residents can have a choice of meals as well as sandwiches. The care takers are professional and pay close attention to the residents. I can sleep at night knowing Mom is safe 24/7. My Mom is on the memory section and there is a separate dining and recreation room. There is never a crowd of care givers hanging around the nursing desk or gathered around talking, they are talking to and taking care of the residents. The staff also make sure the residents are up and involved in the activities, not laying around in bed. Went to mass with Mom on Wednesday and we both enjoyed it very much.

Our geriatric manager, [name removed], from [name removed] explored options for my Dad. We were very impressed with the Chelsea Washington Twp. Immediately , my father felt at home with the onboarding team. [name removed], [name removed], [name removed], [name removed], [name removed], [name removed], and [name removed] were all amazing. Our family felt my father was part of a caring community. [name removed] and [name removed] were comprehensive with their nursing assessment. The caregivers and med aides ([name removed]) xxx was are very attentive to my father’s needs. He looks forward to meet new residents as their plan bingo. Our therapist, [name removed], is right on target. [name removed]and [name removed] were interested in making all the rooms bed comfortable Looking forward to forming new relationships as this community Grows. [name removed] and [name removed] always with a warm smile.

I'd say it was a friendly and clean environment. My Mom chose the community.

My mom is very happy at The Residences at Plainview community. The people are nice and the staff members are very caring. She loves it and loves all the socialization they have going on. This community has changed my moms life, she is busy all day.

My experience there thus far has been incredible Very friendly supportive and engaged staff Place is meticulously clean I've eaten there once - food was good Nice vegetarian options The activities are diverse and frequent My mom has gradually been moving in and the staff has supported her choice to do that. The overall experience has been good. Staff is very friendly. The only issue we are having is the quality of food is not good. We are working to try and get this resolved. She is in a studio which fits her needs.

My uncle is in memory care in Somerset Gardens and I'm so happy with the environment with the staff everything about it I feel my uncle is the most important person to me and I want him to having a place with people know him in a friendly and he's not lonely and they take good care of him and that's what I feel he's getting at Somerset. Also medically he's had a very rough year. He's been in and out of the hospital a lot and they monitor him and they know when he needs to get sent out and it helps me out because I think I would get so stressed out so it takes a lot of the stress off me but the place is beautiful. The staff are wonderful and I don't think I could be happier anywhere else for him

It was the only place that even mentioned a discount for Veterans. It's a great place that I feel my family members are being well taken care of.

Every staff member at The Chelsea at Sparta that we encountered was compassionate, dedicated, and professional. The facility is beautiful, comfortable, and warm. They were wonderful! The residents seemed very happy with the meals. While Assisted Living is costly, I did not find that the cost differed from other comparable communities. I would definitely recommend The Chelsea at Sparta to others and I am grateful for the experience that my family had there.

The process for moving into the Independent living facility was smoothly accomplished with the help of the Chelsea staff. The apartment was so nice and accommodated all our needs. Circumstances necessitated a change to Assisted Living. Here again the staff was most amenable to facilitating the steps necessary to accomplish this. The Assisted Living building is very well appointed and should easily meet the needs of its future residents.
