My mother lived in the Madison Senior Community Center for almost a year. Over that time period we had quite a few issues with this facility. The communication and follow through of the staff and management was dreadful. She was given the wrong medications on two different occasions and underwent surgery without the staff or our family even knowing it was going to occur. The overall communication between her physicians, and the nursing staff there was always hit or miss. Her hygiene went down tremendously over this year, with the staff members dressing her in clothing that did not fit, or that had stains, or sometimes not dressing her at all, leaving her in her night clothes all day. Her clothes would come up missing and get mixed up with other residents clothing. Her room was a constant mess. Our family had to clean and sort laundry every time we visited. When there was an issue, it usually had to be addressed with management at least three to four times before it was rectified, if at all. The money a loved one pays to stay there is significant and does not match the quality of care they receive.

My 89 year old father was in Wyngate respite care for 6 days. Staff let him fall twice in that space of time, and when I insisted on a bed alarm they did not respond when it alarmed. There was no intake assessment so that they knew what he was capable of when he came in, so they tried to force him to do things he has long been disabled from doing, like getting in the shower and getting out of bed and going to dining room for meals. Conditions were often unsanitary as used gloves were left on sink and counters, wet linen brought back to his room, and flecks of poop on his blanket. My grandmother got excellent care there years ago, but things have drastically changed.

After a few months mom's prized feather pillow with her name on it disappeared, as did her glasses and pricey hearing aids and a lot of her clothes. She was involved in an altercation and even though other woman lived down separate hallway and had no problems walking, they made my mother walk to opposite dining room. They never checked for UTI after her personality changed. I requested a check, they never did. They told us she had to be moved to their other facility which does NOT accept Medicaid and tried to fine us for moving her to a different facility even though they already told us she needed to be moved. Prior to move, and again instead of getting her properly diagnosed, they made us get a very expensive 1 on 1 service. So not a good place for those in need of memory care.

Overall care and dedication went out the door when [name removed] & [name removed] left this company. Staff hasn’t been the same. I was happy to move my other when I did. Staff there is terrible and the new manager is more worried about her high heels then caring for the residents. Terrible selection is management

Don't waste your time! The outside is beautiful. The inside is decorated nicely. However, the stuff that matters ..the quality of care, the food.. etc is not good at all. I put my mom in here because they promised me they would take good care of her. I live out of town. We pay extra so she would be helped with dressing & showers & personal care she has not gotten that care. Things like laundry, cleaning the rooms, changing the sheets gets done, eventually, but its hit or miss. The food is not that great either. The dining area could be a lot cleaner. My mom called me last week crying, said no one is caring for her at all . I have been very disappointed. I have complained but it has gotten worse. As soon as I find a better place she will be moved. Do not put your loved ones in this place. It is under staffed, workers are under paid. Quality of care is truly lacking.

This place is absolutely horrible. The staff are over worked and under paid. They are always short staff and lie and try to convince you they are not. The main boss is a liar and [Removed] to the residents. She has had relations with family members in the past. The main boss is never there and if she is she hides from family members. The food is horrible and is very cheap. Residents are not allowed to have sodas with out it being an issue. The main nurse from corporate is just as bad. She told us that dad was a good candidate to be here lied about one on one care and stated that they had everything dad needed for his care. All lies do not trust a word out of this woman's mouth. If she weren't there the place would be so much better!

My mother stayed at this facility from Jan 2015 - Dec 2016. While it was okay when she first arrived, everything about the place went steadily downhill until it got to the point where her safety was a concern. Ever since [Removed] took over, the facility has gotten worse. Cheryl, the Activities Director, is a god-send to every resident there and the only saving grace left. [Removed] forced my mother to sleep in the hallway in her wheelchair at night and would not allow the staff to help her to bed. There are cock roaches at the facility, there is no lock down area for memory care patients, and the lack of cleanliness and adequate staffing for patient care is abhorrent. I would not recommend that you send your loved one to this facility.

I would be skeptical about putting a family member here. Talk to current families whose relatives are there. Especially about management .!!
