Emerald Place is a good place for our mother. The staff knows everyone including the families. Staff are always aware of things going on with the residents and are open to talking with families about any concerns. There are staff changes (turnover) as there are everywhere but the long term employees are many and great!

My aunt has been at Emerald Place for the past 5 years. They have taken excellent care of her. They have always stepped into do the extra things needed with her care when she has health issues. They have lots of activities that she really enjoys. She likes the food they provide for meals.

Emerald Place has treated my Mother with love and care her dx has progresed over the years she has been here, buth they have took good care of her still. States, "she belongs here that she is family."

The staff is helpful and friendly. My mother has everything she needs under one roof. My mother is 98 and they keep her active. She loves exercises, bingo, word games. She can come and go as she pleases.

I recommend anyone who lives in or needs to receive Assisted Living Care to move into Seymour Place. My loved one had a pet dog that was allowed to live here with my Aunt. Customer service was top notch. Clean, neat place to live. Compassionate caregivers!

My tour guide was [name removed], Community Relations Director. Cedarhurst was built in 2015 and until recently operated under a different name. The core of the structure is between the two wings. The main dining room is in the core area on the ground floor. Family & friends of memory care residents can dine w/ the resident in the main dining room. The main assisted living section occupies three stories in the west wing; memory care units are in the east wing and are located on the ground & second floor. To reach either of these units, you walk down a corridor that contains assisted living apartments. Access is through a locked door w/ key pad access. Apartments are spacious. Bathrooms are fully accessible. Each memory care unit has its own lounge, dining area, kitchen area and a couple of additional common areas. The second floor unit has a long balcony w/ seating & plants. The ground floor unit has direct access to a garden. Both balcony & garden face a wooded area. To access the garden, residents of second floor rooms must exit the unit, take the elevator down to the ground floor, walk down a corridor and be admitted to the memory care unit. This was the primary drawback I saw to residence on the second floor. A beauty salon and therapy room are in the core area and are available to all residents. Both memory care units are staffed by nurses 24/7. Cedarhurst does not have a doctor on call but having a nurse 24/7 outweighed this lack. [name removed] introduced all staff we encountered by name and title/responsibilities. All staff were friendly and smiling. She called residents by name and briefly chatted w/ a few. The Executive Director, [name removed], came to The Neighborhoods, the skilled nursing facility where my husband is presently, to do an assessment and make sure he was suitable for residence at Cedarhurst. I didn't want to choose Cedarhurst because it was the only place that met my husband's needs but because it was the best place for him to reside for the next 2-3 months and possibly longer. Therefore, I considered two other assisted living places in Columbia w/ memory care units. I rejected one w/out touring it. I toured one owned by Americare, the group that owns The Neighborhoods (where he has received excellent care). It had a doctor on call but nurses were only available 8 am-5 pm; CNAs and Med Techs staff the place evenings & weekends w/ a nurse on call. Therapy was available but staff came in to provide it and there was no dedicated therapy room. So I chose Cedarhurst because I am convinced it is the best place in Columbia for my husband.

The staff and service is exceptional. They take care of my parents like they are part of their family. I am definitely happy with my decision to bring my parents here. My role has changed from a caregiver to a daughter. I highly recommend Cedarhurst.

I am pleasantly surprised with the high quality of service and care we have received here. They accommodate our every need we have. I also have a support system to help me with my wife's care. I highly recommend Cedarhurst. The food is excellent as well.

My sister just moved in. She just loves it there. Everyone is so nice and very very helpful. The food is amazing. Very clean and nice.

We were very impressed with Lynd House. From the moment we stepped in the door and were greeted by the maintenance man, our tour with [name removed], and seeing everything that was offered, we enjoyed our visit. It’s definitely a consideration for mom.

It was a very nice place and the staff were very friendly and professional.

Mom has really become more involved! She also took advantage of the Physical therapy onsite.

I am very pleased with the service my Mother is receiving. [Name removed] is a very caring nurse on the floor my Mother resides in Assisted Living at Cedarhurst. I was having a hard time getting results from the hospital. [Name removed] persisted until she obtained the answers I needed and took time to even call me at home. Very caring Nurse and always has a smile!! Another person to commend is [name removed] (Life Enrichment). She makes my Mother feel so needed and cared about!! [name removed] is always happy, loving, and full of energy!! Love her as a person and as an activity director! Wonderful treatment of my beautiful Mother. I commend the work and care!!

The facility is very nice. I feel comfortable with Mom living there. The care is good and the staff are nice. They answer my questions and also give good feedback. They are more expensive, which I understand with the cost of running the facility. Unfortunately they don't take Medicaid, so we may have to move her to another facility,which is not good for someone with dementia.

Very impressed with the helpfulness, patience and compassion of all of the staff at Lynd Place. At a time of great stress during one of life's transitions, Lynd Place has really made the transition easy, and continues to. Thank you so much!

The customer service we have received here so far has been outstanding. We requested out of the blue 4 extra meals when our mom was checking in and they were happy to help. The meal was very good. We have been at several other facilities with other family members over the past 2 years and Lynd Place is at the top of our list. Great job!!
