I love living here!

Overall we are satisfied with the care. The staff comes through at times when we desperately needed help, which has outweighed the minor concerns we did have.

The staff and residents at Cedarhurst of Tesson Heights, are very friendly. I do have some extra services for my Aunt and I can say that the staff that completes those tasks are always very friendly and do a wonderful job. They get to her timely and respect her needs. They not only complete their tasks, they also express that they care by hugging her and verbally telling her. My aunt compliments the food and dining and the community has activities like bingo and a theatre. Cedarhurst also has outings, but my aunt doesn't participate in many activities. I always see staff playing games and activities with the residents. Housekeeping only comes by once every two weeks and they do a great job, but my aunt has to take her own trash down to the bin, which is a challenge. I usually take her trash out for her. I wish they would come by and pick up trash more frequent. This is for independent living, but I do see that extra care for people in assisted living. Her room is like an apartment with a little kitchenette, while assisted living is more like a one room studio. I fully recommend Cedarhurst of Tesson. If I were to compare this community to her previous living situation, it is much cleaner and they are much more in tune with her needs and respond to her timely.

Remember that it's assisted living, even in the memory care section. So your loved one needs to be able to help themselves. My loved one declined rapidly after moving in, but hospice and the Cedarhurst nurses took care of her very well, and they coordinated well with each other. Normally hospice would have moved her to their facility, but the Cedarhurst head nurse advocated for her to stay at Cedarhurst since she was so far gone - since she was already familiar with the nurses there. That's why I gave them the high rating.

From the moment we toured the community, we felt the difference between this and the others. The staff truly cares about their residents and it shows. My father has had nothing but positive words about the care he's receiving and the friendliness of the staff. Speaking from the family's perspective, my sister and I feel like we're in the loop and have a team of professionals on our side. I would highly recommend this to anyone who asks.

Cedarhurst is great. I have yet to meet one of their staff that isn't friendly or helpful. They all have such good attitudes. The environment is hotel like with spacious halls, good lighting, and really good activity rooms. My uncle is very pleased with his accommodations and states it's kind of like being on vacation.

My parents moved in Christina’s Place about 1 month ago. The staff and caregivers could not have been more helpful! Anytime I have an issue, [name removed] and [name removed] have bent over backwards to solve the problem! I can’t say enough good things about the care my parents are receiving! My parents feel safe and are settling in well .

I am the caregiver for my 56 year old nephew who has suffered several strokes resulting in fairly severe aphasia (speech difficulty), cognitive & memory deficits, as well as physical impairments. He was a very independent truck driver prior to his strokes. Moving into an assisted living facility was initially a humiliating and traumatic experience for him at his age. However, he has settled into Monroe Place happily & comfortably. This is in large part due to the extremely friendly staff who are never too busy to stop what they are doing to talk and joke with him. The other residents are also very friendly. He has felt very welcomed and comfortable in his new home. There are always activities going on which many residents enjoy, but unfortunately, due to his relatively young age & stubbornness, he chooses not to participate. The common areas are always clean, well maintained, and odor free. I highly recommend Monroe Place to safely and comfortably care for your loved one.

Monroe Place staff provided loving, compassionate care for our mother during her last two years of life. At age 95, we were seeking a place for Mother to age in place, and Monroe Place provided exactly what she needed. Our preference would have been to keep mother at home, but her physical condition did not permit us to do so any longer. We were seeking a place for her where she was more than just a number. The head of nursing knows each resident, and treats them as if they are her family. No one could have predicted the pandemic, and Mother moved in just a few days prior to everything locking down. Monroe Place staff continued to communicate with the residents AND family to the ever changing guidelines while keeping residents and staff safe. Mother loved the staff and anyone could see, that they truly cared for her as well.

From the beginning my/our main concern has always been that he is somewhere safe. We feel he is … there is someone to check on him if he pushes his panic button, he is served 3 balanced meals a day, his area is kept clean, his laundry is done … and the main thing … he has daily human interaction. We see him as often as we can but when we are not with him I know he enjoys the staff and residents at Monroe Place. We (he, I and the rest of his family) have the upmost faith that he is getting the best care possible. The facility stays in contact with us and is always available for any concerns we might have. From day one our entire family has been very pleased that Monroe Place was his choice.

They have been so welcoming and considerate of our family. The facility is well maintained and staff is friendly. They are quick to communicate issues with us and keep us in the loop. There is a lot of things going on for residents to be a part of if they wish.

Monroe place is a great place for your elder loved one. Very friendly,compassionate, and takes great care of my loved one. Management is great to work with myself and other family members if there is a problem or need help with something

My mom has been at Monroe Place for over a year., I feel like mom is part of the family there. Everyone knows her, the staff can always tell me what she’s been up to. There are creative activities every day. Someone can always help us find her cane, which goes missing almost daily, and We had some good laughs when other residents let mom try their walkers. Hers arrives next week! Monroe Place is bright, cheerful, a lovely place to be.

Excellent facility with caring and qualified staff and caregivers who don't suffer from burnout, ALLl aspects of resident housing is as Home-Like as possible. Cleanliness and sanitation was the standard... even prior to Covid. I can't say anything bad about my experiences with them over the past 4 years. I tell all visitors I see inside or outside the facility this: yes, I would live there.

Emerald place is a wonderful place to have your loved ones. They are cared for like family and Staff is very kind and easy to work with. My grandmother was well taken care of and was always clean! Emerald place is beautiful inside and outside. They keep everything in tip top shape. Residence are able to make their rooms like home which is the best part. Would recommend to anyone needing assisted or any type of care.

I have patients that live at Emerald Place; the staff takes care of them, and one absolutely loves activities! There is never any trash or foul odor walking through the halls, and call lights are answered promptly.

This is a beautiful community that is well-kept and clean. The staff is very welcoming and have longevity in their respective roles. The food is amazing and snacks are always available. I appreciate that they are pet friendly too! It’s just an overall great place to have a loved one. I highly recommend!

Very happy with the Emerald Place in Washington. I'm just sorry that more people won't work to help the elderly and others with everyday needs. The share holders need to work a shift in any facility and see what goes on, on a daily basis. It takes special people to work there and they definitely don't make enough money for what is charged. I am very happy with the employees....
