Friendly, encouraged resident participation in social events, good meals. It was a perfect respite experience for our dad.

The food brought the overall experience and the value for cost down. My mom and I love the neighborhood setting. It is very peaceful. They have a lovely porch and garden in the back. [name removed], the activities director is genuinely involved with the residents and enjoys creating activities for them.

Sometimes staff might not respond for an hour or so if he pushed his buzzer! Certain supplies sent for him disappeared very quickly! They were nice for the most part, though. I didn't really see the food much but my husband and some didn't care for it! It's really hard to say though! Another thing is there were a lot of mix ups with his medication! I guess if a family member handles it it's better if still allowed! I was not allowed to handle his.

It's small (small enough they can get to know each resident very well and their families). Small town. Friendliness. They need to be a little more helpful on small things ... if a resident asks for something they cannot provide or do for them, maybe find another solution or way to help.

I would recommend anyone looking for an assisted living facility to consider Gardens of Wetumpka. They could add more variety to their food menu.

I visited McClellan Senior Living facility in my own first and liked what I saw. There were happy residents all around. I was impressed with the overall look of the rooms, the safety features, the fact that the residents seemed to be fed well and are enjoying doing things like reading, watching TV, talking, etc. I also like that the facility plans activities for them and does things like managing medications and laundry for the residents. I brought my Mom in less than a week ago, and she was already taking to folks walking by. I believe it will be a good place for Mom.

My mom loves the core people and considers them family. It's the country feel she loves. They do have a high turnover of CNA's which majorly decreases continuity of care. Which decreases trust. Mom has a great attitude and adjusts well. She is 91, mind is sharp so she takes all pretty well. They have tried at times to take suggestions from residents on food. But it doesn't quite get implemented. Perhaps 1-2 times a month they are complimentary of a meal. They do not have a dedicated cook. The staff cooks, so that can be demoralizing. Same for activity director. They can't keep one very long and the gap between can go on for months.

My mother says the food is usually cold. They prepare the food in a different kitchen and transport it to their wing. The meat they serve is tough. And the selection is not appealing. They don't have a cook. The RA's are responsible for doing the meals.) Every other area is so good. It would be so wonderful if the dining was not such an issue. My mom has a refrigerator and buys most of her food at the grocery store. The activities director is outstanding! She is a huge asset. Couldn't ask for better! They always have something going on. It is in a lovely quiet neighborhood setting. The residents love the back porch and everyone gets along beautifully.

What we like the most about this community is all of the friendly workers. Based on the experience we have had so far, we would recommend the Silver Lakes Senior Living community to other families

Limestone Manor was a good assisted living program with clean, updated/home like facility. The only trouble we had there was a couple residents argued with Mom and accused her of things as her dementia worsened. Mom was afraid there toward the end, but we thought was all dementia. The administrator began watching closely after we voiced our concern and confirmed this happening. She spoke to the families of these people, but Mom did not last much longer there as she developed a UTI that changed her mentality drastically.

When it comes to the meals and dining, there is no consideration for diabetic residents. Many meals are too many carbs/ starches in one meal. No sugar free options. The value for cost would be a better value if my mother in law could eat all the meals. based on the experience we have had so far, we would recommend this community to other families.

A little unorganized at times. Sometimes fails to follow-up. Friendly. Helpful. Nice. Safe. All around satisfactory. Im happy with it. I feel mother is in a safe place and now has activities and people to be around. Gets meds as needed. Help if needed.

My loved one is currently a resident at McClellan Senior Living and most everything has been great for her at this facility, so far. If I were to give one suggestion for improvement, it would be that they need to work on their menu more. Otherwise, things are very good. Overall, I would recommend McClellan Senior Living to others.

Overall it's been a good fit and my mom is happy there. I hear great things from my mom about [name removed] and the other staff. They have found them very responsive. I think they should speak with the residents there to get suggestions for improvements on the food.

As far McClellan Senior living, it is a great place. Dad loved it there and the staff are very caring and seems to enjoy what they are doing. Dad had to go to a nursing home, because he couldn't get up and down without 2 people helping him.

The business side of things could be better, but they do care about the people. The food used to be great, but they lost the chef they used to have. The food definitely needs improving. It needs better taste and better preparation.

The staff is very friendly and truly cares about the residents. My mother-in-law is in the hospital and [names removed] took the time to visit her. It meant a lot to her and to us (her family).

The Gardens of Hazel Green has been home to my mother for a year now, in Assistant Living where the Manager and Staff have been capable and pleasant. The newly renovated building she is in is nicely furnished and updated. My mother’s room is small but quite comfortable with her on furnishings. The restroom is a nice good size. The activities are many and the staff and other residents encourage her to participate. She likes going to the dining room and visiting with the other residents and she usually likes the food choices offered. The only recommendation I would make is that they clean the bathrooms and living rooms more often or better. Overall I feel it is a good place to live and visit.

My family member is currently a resident at Silver Lakes Senior Living. The Executive Director is excellent. She is so caring. The staff all did a great job getting my family member acclimated to the place. The meals are okay, not great but there is always an alternative option if the residents don't like the main meal being served. Overall, things have been good here. I would recommend Silver Lakes Senior Living to others.

The staff at Silver Comet Senior Village is friendly and kind. I do have to keep reminding the staff and housekeeping to do things. Even if resident needs help with bath and washing clothes, they do forget. The cleaning is good when done. Communication with the family needs work and they can be confusing. The move in- we had no help had to do it all on your own. The meals are good, but they do not offer any low sodium or special meals. So that can be an issue. Now they need to get together on 1 or 2 pharmacies instead of one local and 2 outside of the facility and one out of state. Plus you have to have meds re-packaged, which can be costly and time consuming. They need more help. Plus, if a resident needs a hair cut or nails done - never could get it scheduled due to who they hired. They mentioned looking for someone else. I like Silver Comet, but the residents will really have to be own their own. It's like a place to leave the elderly for comfort until they pass. There is really no nurse there, just wellness staff. So be careful who goes to this unit. If they need assistance more than normal, look elsewhere. This facility is only for more independent and residents do what they want to do. I do believe that, moving forward, they still need more professionals hired. They are still new and need to work things out improve. I'm sure they will with the right professionals.
