Prior to the lock down, the best thing I have found in this community is the friendliness of the other resident living here. I think they do a good job with food considering everything. We chose this community because our sons prefer this one. I would definitely recommend this community to other families.

The place is beautiful. It is definitely a contender spot for my Mom. The only down side is that there were not patients or staff there yet so I wasn’t able to see how they interact with each other. The grounds are beautiful and it appears that there is a terrific range of activities. I love the “town square” where the residents will be able to watch a movie, go to the cafe, get their hair done, and do some art activities. And the price is well within reason for the services they offer.

Mom has only been here a little over a month and I think she is still trying to adjust so some things are still being worked on. She tends to stay in her room however the staff encourages her to come out and join the other residents in doing activities or social hours but they don't push her. She doesn't seem to like the food when she eats which isn't all the time again the staff encourages her but doesn't make her eat it is her choice. The staff is very friendly. The community is very clean no issues with any sort of housekeeping.

We toured this community for the care for my mom. The community is new and very appealing on the environment. The staff was caring and helpful for the questions we had on the care that was offered. The menu was appealing of the variety that would have been offered. We suggest that families tour this community for the care of a loved one.

I was very happy with how things went for my mother while she was at this community. All of the staff where wonderful and took great care during her stay. She had a lot of health issues so it was important that wherever we had put her had a knowledgeable nursing staff. The only thing I was not expecting was it was a little more expensive then we had planned for.

My husband is still adjusting to living at The village. The staff seems good. He is not always happy with the food. They offer some activities such as bingo, cards and an exercise class. They also offer various outings. The community is clean and well maintained. I would recommend this community.

I moved in last spring and very delighted I did. The management staff has been very helpful and compassionate with my situation. Most of the time the food is good but I wish we had more options.

This is a great community. The staff is excellent and friendly. The meals are getting better. Activities are offered. I would highly recommend this community.

I got to take a tour of this community. It seemed and looked nice. It looks and feels like the other communities. The only difference from this community than our final choice is the price. The price is too much in my opinion.

My grandmother does not have any care services provided. They come in and clean her room and it is always clean when I get there. I'm not sure how clean it is when they clean it. They also provide her with meals which she goes down to the cafeteria. My grandmother does not participate in any activities but they do offer them.

The staff here is wonderful. They are so nice and professional. The building is always clean and neat. We love the way everything is so organize here. The atmosphere is great and the other residents are so nice and they are helpful too!

We met with Ms. Jackson Tuesday 1/13. The one bedroom that we were shown was nice; I would rather have the bathroom off the bedroom. Common areas were clean. We did not meet any of the residents. Staff were very nice.

Their intake procedure was really good. They have very good clear-cut policies on how to handle difficult situations. One area where they could improve is that they could stand to have a few more and wider variety of activities including all sorts of things. We have been very well pleased with Heatherwood Retirement Community and would highly recommend them.

My first contact with Heatherwood was through A Place for Mom. After I received the contact information, I did a phone interview with their marketing director, Lisa. She is very energetic, likeable and makes a terrific spokesperson for Heatherwood. They were really great to work with, coordinating a difficult move-in, easing mom into independent living and dealing with out of state communication. I appreciate their willingness to consider my mother as a person. She is treated with respect. The staff is friendly and helpful. The food is great! There are activities to interest her every week. I think the best thing is that I have not received a call from mom complaining and crying. She feels safe and is making friends, just after a month. Kudos to Heatherwood.

We think it's a very nice facility, and she seems to be enjoying it there. It's clean, and the staff is very friendly. They seem to be adequately staffed. She is enjoying the food. We aren't finding any hidden fees or charges, it's pretty much what we expected to pay. It's going pretty good at this point.

This community was very well organized and the staff was helpful in offering information regarding Mom's needs. This property has was very appealing.

Loved the variety of activities they had available. The style of one of their apartments was a style I thought my mom could be comfortable in. I went in doubtful about the location of the facility but it really wasn't far at all. Lisa was great and informative. Loved how the residents had personalized their space in front of their doors. My mom would love that.

The staff here did a very nice job with the tour of their community and they showed us all around and answered our questions. We thought that this community was too much of a hotel style and was too large for our dad. We were concerned that he would be confused by the different levels and due to his back he would have trouble getting around.

My dad is doing well at this community. Everything seems to be going fine for my dad and our family. The care is good and it is not perfect but still good. The staff are nice people but they do not respond in a prompt manner when being asked for help.
