Carriage Crossing Management

Great people and facilities but sometimes response is very slow due to low staffing. I would recommend to others.

The room is fine. And the facility is clean and taken care of. The memory care needs more staff. One person is not enough to care for those residents. So often, the residents are bored, sit in a chair all day, little to no activities. The large amount we pay for our loved one, we should have the better more personable and friendly care. The Assisted Living part is good. But Memory care for sure needs some help. Not all of the residents are mobile on their own, so there should at the very least be two people working this wing at all times. Thank You.

They have a new nurse in charge ([name removed]) and she's made a world of difference. Continuing to do the little things (if you're on the schedule for 2 baths per week - make it happen, don't give a bunch of excuses). So far so good - [name removed] coming in made everything better. Before, I would have given them a 2

This is difficult to do if I can't have the questions one by one sorry. Food was bad, it is dirty, staff were ok. That place is only good for totally independent people. Staff are nice but I don't think they deliver the care that is presented upon admission. My dad was found on the floor many times by myself or family and when we called for help it took a long time to get anyone. One time I went hunting for a staff member to help and had a difficult time finding anyone. They need more help!

Food and resident room cleanliness could very much be improved. Staff was very caring and pretty attentive. Based on the experience we have had so far, we would recommend Carriage Crossings to others.

Moving in on holiday weekend, limited staff was expected. However, the expectation was that things would improve. That did not happen. We were sold a set schedule for housekeeping, laundry, bath, etc that would be provided. However a schedule was never provided, and what few services have been provided are highly inconsistent. Move in date [date removed]-first bath not given until [date removed]. By [date removed] another bath had yet to be provided. Email was sent to director, [name removed], on [date removed]- who was out of office and had no backup personnel in her absence. No response was received. This lack of response required an in person visit with [name removed]-director of nursing in order to resolve the concerns. No response was ever received from [name removed]!! We have had the same issue with housekeeping. Sheets are to be changed weekly and the first time was [date removed] after more than a month. After two months of consistently reporting our concerns-we have finally seen slight improvement.

Seemed like a good option for the cost. I've been pleased with Carriage Crossing, but I feel like maybe they're just understaffed and because of that maybe not as much communication with myself or my Dad and not as much attention/care for my dad. I don't think he feels "seen" there.

I grew up in Decatur so I'm partial. There are good parts and bad parts. It's too bad because it was a great place to grow up.

My mom has been in Memory Care 23 months. We chose CC because the facilities were beautiful, the staff was welcoming and attentive, the D of Nursing had high expectations and managed her staff well. Now, the D of Nursing is gone and CC is covered by a regional director who handles 5 buildings. All the nurses we started with are gone and there’s a constant stream of new faces hired from an exchange continually cycling through with no accountability. They’re constantly understaffed. There is poor communication of expectations between nurses and caregivers. Last week we had a dangerous situation with medication and breathing treatments not being administered and It was unacceptable. The building director and memory care director listen and say they weren’t aware. Not true. MC residents are leaving. Keep in mind this 9.4 score CC received is based on reviews of ALL the buildings their parent company owns. We’ve chosen to move Mom. We no longer have confidence in CC management or staff.

I realize that they are going through a rough patch but right now I would not recommend. They have gotten rid of a lot of people and are very short staffed, you will clean the room and your loved one, you will have to ask a lot of questions because you are told nothing. If your loved one can take care of themselves you are okay. Food is excellent, they have activities everyday, they have an amazing theatre room, their therapy employees are great compassionate people, directors are nice. Price is comparable to other places.

We toured Cadence Marietta and it was good overall. The facility looked very nice. Our tour guide wasn't very helpful, but the rest of the staff was wonderful.

This community is very clean. The kitchen staff work really well to accommodate a vegetarian diet. The attention of the care taking staff needs improvement. The billing and online payment system is complicated and is not easy to navigate or use for people who is not familiar with it. The shared suite is also problematic because of the long time residents that are not so welcoming to the new residents.

This is an adequate facility for your loved one. The executive director was fired so at this time they are trying to get thing in line and there are some staff that are great and some that are not in the midst of the changes. They have a new director but she has not reached out just yet to me I am waiting to hear from her. This is all one level and very beautiful.

Our family had an in person tour and at the time the memory care unit was about a month away from being completely built, but what we say was lovely. However, the layout of the rooms were confusing and each section had three different colors, and if we were already confused we were worried with our loved one having dementia it would be even more confusing to her.

We think it is a very nice layout, they have a beautiful atrium. The dining room is nice, and everything is upscale and clean. We think the food was good for the most part. We would recommend this community to others. However the care they give was minimal, we basically had to take care of our loved one ourselves

-physical appearance was not as nice as Brookdale but could be acceptable with the right price point. -concerned about annual % increases that were shared with me -part of me likes "everything covered" but another part believes why pay for services not yet required. -disappointed that there was a scheduling issue - makes me concerned about BAU. -appreance was the staff was small although I was told 1to12.

My mother has since passed away, but her experience here a decent one. They do have some good people here. For the most part the staff tried their best to care for her and her needs. She had some problems before entering the community. There were some concerns we had. Overall for the most people they tried their best.

This is an older community that appears under new management where several apartments available require renovation. THe apartment sizes are good and they have one and 2 bedroom options. The community contact was very nice and very helpful. The green space was on the small side but very well kept and manicured. The dining room is large and the menu appears to be good

I am not completely happy with the Elmcroft of Twin Hills place at this moment. I really can not say anything about any improvements that need to be made at the facility, whether it is dealing with staff or the place itself.
