It's a beautiful facility most of the time the quality of care is good and the meals are good. They don't keep track of whether or not they eat and it was set up so that if you didn't come down to eat, they would deliver to his room, however that is not a consistent thing. The original employees understood his PTSD and had a workshop in order to train the personnel, but I don't believe they've done that since the big turnover. He's a little tough to handle and I do get that. The Med Tech staff is phenomenal. The housekeeping and care staff is awesome. Most staff members are incredible. However they have had a big turnover. There has been many times where he sat in the dining room for a good half hour or more before they'll even take his order which doesn't seem right, and I'm not sure what that's about. The VA Pharmacy department has struggled with communication with him, however from being great, not so good. Overall looks very happy with the facility and feel very blessed that he was able to move there.

The staff has been very kind, caring, and respectful to my dad and to my family visiting him, and to the other residents, consistently. They are very accommodating when we meet my cousins there, who bring my dad's 90 and 92-year-old sister and brother, and we bring snacks. They even provided lunch on occasion so we could eat with him if we call ahead a day or two prior. It's always clean, no smells, and well kept. From the front desk to the kitchen and the caregivers, communication has been excellent. I absolutely would recommend Carefield to anyone looking for a memory care home. I am very happy with the staff and the care my dad receives there. He even has a girlfriend and she calls him Lovey. The only reason I am not giving them a 5 is that I have a general rule to not choose the highest number on any survey because there's always a little room for improvement.

The staff here is mostly fantastic and really good with my mom but theres been a couple of times when I've heard the new boss whos office is by the front desk saying things about various departments. I have heard this personally twice so I'm sure other people visiting have overheard to, she's been telling the front desk about different people who I won't name and telling them what those other employees are doing wrong. If that's happening in front of family members I can only imagine what is happening when there's no visitors around. I think there should be some professionalism with that sort of thing.

Very positive kind staff. Good food. Great cleaning and laundry services. Lots of fun activities to choose from. Some inconsistencies. When we’ve had concerns most have been a right away. We do understand there has been some turnover. All in all so great knowing he is safe and that I only have to drive to Visalia instead of Motto Bay to take him to appointments! Many of the staff members are over the top kind, patient, and accommodating!

Carefield Pleasanton Memory Care was accommodating and supportive of the needs we had for my mother, who required significant staff support. They were communicative and when my mom needed to go to the hospital they were careful not to charge us the service fees. It would be helpful for people who are bedridden to have more engagement with staff in the room more regularly. Overall, I would recommend Carefield Pleasanton Memory Care to others.

Staff is always courteous and friendly and helpful. The place is always clean and orderly. Good place to visit. I hope I don’t have to live there. Not that it’s not good it’s just not home to me but it’s good for my mother-in-law will take good care of her here.

In hindsight, I realized that the first question to ask is "Is this price inclusive?" There are always add-ons that significantly increase the cost. Overall I still think it is the best in my area. It's just more expensive than I anticipated. The staff are always courteous, smiling, and attentive. Meals always look appetizing, and the menu is varied. The residents are offered a variety of activities.
The community does well with keeping memory care residents occupied with games crafts and social interactions. The community fails to keep track of my husband's clothes. They are marked with his name and many are missing. He shows up wearing clothes that are not his. However, the clothes he ends up with are clean and in good condition. I chose Park Visalia on a recommendation and I knew he would be kept busy everyday by what I saw when I visited. Also the ratio of men and women was good. I do not worry about him there. Therefore, I have better peace of mind.

My mother in law is doing very well there. She says all the people there are so nice. The room is very comfortable and since it is a smaller facility. She gets around pretty well. With her dementia, it is nice for her to move around without getting lost. The outside garden areas are beautiful and she loves to walk around outside.
We picked this community because of the location, cost, and it's a smaller community. They have hired more people/staff, which is good. They are willing to help. The residents are very friendly and nice. I would recommend to other familes.

Really enjoyed the visit, [name removed] was very warm and welcoming. We were able to speak to [name removed], Director of Activities, and she was very pleasant. The facility was clean, bright and the environment appeared friendly. Few concerns, we weren't allowed to visit the memory care unit which is what we are looking for and the cost to stay is higher than we expected but we were overall very satisfied with initial consultation.

Right now, it's complicated because of Covid. But if you get to know the right staff members, like the director and the heads of each department, and you get their direct phone numbers, you can get stuff done. I think they're really trying hard to keep everybody safe. Sometimes it feels like they're erring on the side of extreme caution, but I know it's for the residents' safety. So I have to just kind of let it go. and keep in mind it's not like a normal home situation where I could let my loved ones come and go as they please.

They are very friendly at this community. I would tell people to come on. The people like to visit and be friends with you. The atmosphere is very good. The dining is average, it has it's good times and bad. The maintenance is wonderful. The only thing you have to say is I have a problem and they are they to fix the issue. There is a park area that outside with a walkway and bench area. In the center of the community there is a courtyard, and it is delightful. This is also available for the memory care unit, and it is a separate area than the assisted living. This is a very nice community. Park Visalia is an affordable option.
