My father's adjustment has gone very well at Harmony Village. It is a pleasure for his family members to visit him in such attractive surroundings and to find him calm and happy. Knowing he is receiving compassionate and engaging care at Harmony Village is a great load off my mind! The administrative and staff communicates well with his family.

I toured this community when I was looking into options for my loved one. This was a nice looking place, it was clean and well kept, and the staff all seemed very friendly. It wasn't the option we ended up choosing, but overall it looked like they would be able to provide good care and comfortable atmosphere.

My father is being very well taken care of, they're doing a really good job of taking care of him, these folks are much more engaging, getting him involved in a lot more activites and not just letting him sit in his room all the time. They jsut reach out to engage much much more, I know that they just converted a section to have more rooms so the size has been a factor but they whell him into bingo even though he can't see but he can hear and they keep him entertained and engaged. He has the benefit of being in the assisted living, he's in a wheelchair so he isn't a flight risk, he's easy to take care of and they tell me he's a sweet heart. i think if you have a grouch instead of a nice person they're going to be drawn more to you.

I liked the fact that it use to be a skilled nursing facility so a lot of the infrastructure is already in place in case a loved one needs a higher level of care

The décor is pleasant and we would recommend this community to others.

I think the administration and most of the staff really tried to care for my husband. However, there were some nurses in the rehab area downstairs that were truly excellent and others that had a very bad attitude and could care less if they did a good job. The administration was aware of this problem as well. As far as the assisted living area, my husband was there about two weeks when he took a horrendous fall and was very seriously injured. In all fairness, my husband was a huge problem in that he was constantly trying to get either out of bed and walk (which he could not do safely) or out of the wheelchair. Unfortunately the law states that the patients cannot be physically or medically restrained. He needed both for his own safety. I had private duty aides in rehab 10 hrs a day and in assisted living every weekend. My only thought is that the nursing assistants needed more training bc the day he fell, there was only one nursing assistant in the dayroom and the NA giving out meds went to the med room to get medication for him. I assume he was becoming agitated but the NA in the dayroom went to the kitchen, did not keep an eye on him, and he was able to get up and walk a distance and fell very hard, seriously injuring himself. It could have been avoided if the med NA had cautioned the other one to watch him while she got the medication and the one in the day room knowing he was a fall risk not turn her back on him for so long a time. I say this only to avoid this happening to others. For the most part, they did try to care for him and accepted him in assisted living knowing his situation. They told me they could no longer care for him after the fall, as he needed a more secure situation. He did and I moved him but he still kept falling until one day something happened where he could not move anymore and was put in a hospice situation and died in a few days bc he could no longer swallow safely. This no restraint situation is very unsafe for patients like my husband. I could not afford to privately pay for the care itself and then 24 hr nursing assistants. I was also working at the time to pay for all of this, looking for a new home with a walk out basement for him, or trying to put an egress window and bathroom in my basement to hire a live-in. My only option was to bring him home with a live in and hope for the best. All in all, they tried in a very difficult situation. My husband was very difficult but then they will most likely encounter more like him. Just need to educate the NA's to be more aware of possible falls with very at risk patients.

The staff for the most part is very good, the cleanliness and laundry service good, the food mediocre and the activities for residents are excellent. I feel our overall experience has been positive what I hear from people who have loved ones in other facilities we made the right choice with the Cupola

The staff and care services are very good, and the resident rooms and common areas are maintained well. They also offer offsite field trips for residents and they try to accommodate and assist individual residents as much as possible.

The place seemed fine, the people seem nice. I have a very difficult time connecting the price tag with the services provided. I will be making other arrangements for my loved one. I don’t find that there was enough stimulation in terms of activities and entertainment to keep my mom active. I found the room to be very small, though it may be comparable to other facilities. The fact that there was no way to guarantee that my mom could stay there after her money ran out was a big turn off for me, though I am sure I will get the same response at other places.

I've never been to an asst living facility so this experience was new. CareOne is very nice! My FIL loves the food. The activities and directors are wonderful and caring. The front desk ([name removed]), and [name removed], and [name removed](nurse) and others (I forgot the name of the director...she's wonderful, too!!) The apt size is a bit smaller but manageable. The care is great!!!

Outstanding food regularly in the dining room with wait staff, 3 meals/day; weekly cleaning of my apartment including bed linens, maintenance staff on site to deal with moving things, quick repairs or needed fixes, van available for transportation to events, needed appts, frequent opportunities for local concerts, performances, even [removed name](40 min south) spacious apts all with patio or balcony/deck, each apt has full kitchen, cable TV, indoor parking as paid option, beauty salon on site as well as equipped gym, with weekly instructor led classes, connection with [removed name], freedom to audit classes there, Penpal program with local independent elementary school.

The head of nursing was fantastic. Sorry I don't remember her name. Other nurses were also very good. The director also went beyond expectations to address [name removed] concerns and in general was very friendly and helpful. The dining set up was conducive to meeting other clients and [name removed] actually made a few very good friends. In fact that was the highlight for her. Although others may have different experiences I would definitely recommend this facility for short or long term care.

We are very happy there. The nurses and aides take very good care of [name removed]and he is happy there. Unfortunately he is now on hospice but the fact that he can stay there is another plus.

Very clean Residents are kept busy with activities throughout the day and early evening. Once. Week it's family night and residents and family do a project together which is great for both parties. It's done in evenings so working families are easy to attend. All concerns and questions are answered in a timely manner. [name removed]the Director is always available to family.

I feel as a family member you need to address any concerns you have with the facility or staff immediately. Don't just think it will resolve itself. If the management doesn't know you have concerns they can't address them. The staff at care one was wonderful and caring. You just need to keep the lines of communication open!

It truly depends on which particular staff and team is on. There is an A team and a D team, not much in between. Lack of appropriately staffed and trained care partners with high turnover from nurses causes a negative impact for residents.

The facility is clean and most of the staff is friendly and care about the residents, however some of the staff is there just for a pay check and they do the bare minimum. Also most incidents happened at night, and I feel the night crew is less attentive. It was definitely a journey settling into the facility, but overall it's a nice community, it's clean and the property is taken care of .

My mom raves about how good the food is. My favorite thing about CareOne compared to her last place is that they have frequent trips - to Walmart, Target, the library, Goodwill, lunch at local restaurants, etc. I think it adds a sense of normalcy to her life. Shoutout to [name removed] on the activities staff - everything she does with the residents she puts 110% into.

Friendly caring atmosphere. We also liked that there were 3 different communities based on cognitive level and cost. I would recommend this facility

The overall care depends on the staff some better than others the food is very individual thing but my friend complains a lot about it I've never really eaten there but there is plenty of options offered. Very friendly and welcoming. Activities are encouraged by staff and if the family member is not resistant to the staff they are good at getting residents to engage and keep involved
