Our friend is in the memory care bldg. They have an assisted living bldg for people who need care but don't have dementia, across the street. Great dining room & food variety. Caregivers seem very kind. Honestly, such a relief to have found such a great place where we know she's cared for. And honestly finding a place for our friend wouldn't have been the smooth process it was without the help of A Place for Mom. It helped us narrow our list to an affordable but excellent facilities. And no pressure.

They genuinely care about their residents. What stuck out was {name removed]care coordinator - I followed her from [community removed]

Friendly, attentive and knowledgeable staff. A lot of activities for those who don’t want to stay in their room. Entertainment every week. Several activities every day. Movies in the theater. A lot of choices for meals. Specials daily as well as a set menu. Also a bistro open until 4:00 pm. With snacks and beverages. The facility is clean and well taken care of. Special event for holidays. I’m comfortable with my mother there. She loves it.

I would suggest that they take a tour and also go to one of their open house activities so they get a better feel for the place. I like the friendly staff that treats my mom like family and appreciate that they give necessary updates when they see fit. The memory care staff are caring and patient so I'm grateful for finding them.

Space is great - large rooms and walls half glass so there is plenty of light. The people are a community. So many of the residents volunteer to create experiences for all to share. Newcomers are welcomed into the community.

They are accommodating, friendly and welcoming to the residents and the family. There's plenty of activities to keep busy and pleasant places to just sit and relax. Everyone from the cleaning staff to the administrators are very helpful and go above and beyond. There are quite frequently only meat options for lunch and dinner which my mother doesn't eat. There should always be at least one no meat option. Although there are set things she can order if she doesn't like the choices, she gets tired of having to eat the same thing. That said she is a picky eater but according to her there are quite a few residents who complain also.It's hard to please everyone, but there definitely should be daily non meat choices. One more thing about the chef. He does try and call meetings to hear people's issues and I believe he's trying to accommodate everyone. It's not possible to please everyone. It takes a lot of patience

Very nice facility with good staff. Since they are just starting they are still ramping up services and staff. But overall good.

Truewood by Merrill, Clovis was the first and only facility we toured. There is something special about Beau and the staff that let us know our grandmother would be cared for. Truewood is clean, the staff go above and beyond, the facility communicates effectively with residents and their families, and most importantly there’s transparency. Our grandmother was concerned with making friends. She’s been there only a couple of months. Recently, we went to visit and she shortened our visit (kicked us out, haha!) because it was lunch time and she couldn’t wait to see her friends.

Mostly food needs improvement. Generally all is run well and place is clean. Apt and Clovis rather safe place. Area and inside quiet. I am very glad to be here. Medical response is very good. Most residents are low energy. I'm high energy and independent but I keep a low profile. Lots of walkers. I recommend this place for nice and calm natured gray haired.

[name removed] and [name removed] were quite instrumental in bringing this move to a more than satisfactory conclusion. If it wasn’t for her/them my mother & I might still be searching. Thank you, thank you for all you’ve done.

I would rate each of these categories a 5+! Our family has been thrilled with the care my father-in-law has received. The Truewood team has gone above and beyond to make the transition for my father-in-law easier and have been great at communicating any concerns they have to us immediately. The staff has been so kind and personable. They quickly learned my father-in-law's name and his food likes. They make us feel welcome when we visit. The activities are varied and fun. My father-in-law enjoys the games and movies. He enjoys the Friday late afternoon social hour. They have a facility dr who treats my father-in-law onsite. They have a salon where he gets his hair cut. Though he hasn't participated yet, they have lunch outings on Wednesdays and shopping outings on Fridays. My mother-in-law passed away within a day of us moving her there (we started her on hospice in the hospital) and the Truewood staff went above and beyond during a really difficult 24 hours. They took such compassionate care of her. They fed us meals and after she passed brought in a lovely food cart. They're just really a spectacular team!

I'm very pleased with every aspect of Truewood. Mom loves the interior courtyard. It's large and beautiful with trees, flowers, benches and a nice path for walking. The staff is wonderful and the food good. There are plenty of activities during the day to keep mom busy. I couldn't have picked a better place. I'm happy and above all, mom is happy!

Everyone extremely helpful, above and beyond what was expected! Impressed by the communication between the team. Everyone knows what’s happening with resident. Extremely clean and dining room food is very good. Early contact with residents already there, all seem very happy and speak highly of the facility.

The staff is amazing and very caring. They really care about their residents and it shows. So happy to have found this place for my grandmother. She loves her home here. She has become less isolated and less depressed and in her words has made friends for the first time in a while. I am forever grateful.

My brother was here and he seemed very content. It was a long distance from me as I live in [location removed], but it ws a good experience. Although I did not really get to know anyone very well, we were happy with the whole thing.

Recently, my mother who's been at Truewood for 11 months, had a medical issue that required she be transported by ambulance to the Hospital ER. I learned of it from the Hospital's notification system. Happily, my mother was not in danger at any time and her medical issue was handled. Her care at Truewood has always been very good and we are happy with the conscientious care she receives by all staff members. On learning of this event, the 3-member Leadership Team met with me immediately to address the protocols and updates. They also provided me all written documentation of the entire event. My entire family is pleased with their quick response and willingness to meet in-person as soon at possible. All concerns were addressed and properly resolved. Thank you.

For the most part my mom is pretty happy there. She was resistant at first but began making friends. One of my former classmates mom was there for several years as well. My mom is a very picky eater and thinks that anything spicy is Italian. Perhaps have some Asian food once in a while.

My dad was previously a resident at Truewood by Merrill Clovis and the experience was great for him. They took great care of my dad. Unfortunately, we had to leave because the cost of care was raised out of his affordability and his care needs increased.

My loved one was previously a resident at Truewood by Merrill Clovis and everything about the experience was great. However, ultimately she wanted to be near family and they finally pitched in to help her with that move. She moved to a facility closer to kids.

This is a family owned and operated business and I have found the staff so professional and helpful. They supported my mother and me with a complicated out of state move after a health crisis. My mother was able to establish care with a PCP affiliated with Cornerstone within 2 weeks of arrival. I can't say enough good things about the care they have given my mother.
