Excellent virtual tour of the common areas of the facility. Majestic views of Lake Merritt from the rooftop walking path. The guide provided insights into the many activities available as well as health service. Interests and capabilities of the current residents appear to be a good fit. Excellent background for an in-person visit.

The experience has been overall positive from the start. From the office staff to the personal care team, the social activities team to the dining and kitchen staff everyone has contributed to the smooth transition from independent to assisted living for my father. The food is varied and tasty. here has been a few times of care schedule misses. His 10:00 shower assistance sometimes gets delayed. That can be a challenge to him due to his social calendar getting filled with activities.

Towards the end , price rose drastically. I under why, but if she had lasted longer, what would are options be if funds ran out. Yes, we would recommend this community to other families and we already have

The staff keeps the residents active at times and they are consistent with meals. They are attentive to their needs.

This is the most wonderful place I looked at. Meals are fresh farm to plate, reception staff always know where my person is, great activities, so clean and staff actually seems so caring, it is family owned.

The staff was great they met us at the door Dad be came a lot happier . They took great care of him. HE was active in the activities. They kept Him wanting to keep going. Unfortunately He only lived 3 more weeks. They were very caring to His last days. He was very HAPPY to the end.

It's the cheapest option around; the staff is so knowledgeable of every resident's current state, needs, and preferences and is very communicative with the families; the staff does a fabulous job managing the social interactions among the residents even though they all have dementia and may be less socially refined; and all the residents seem genuinely happy

Mom loves the activities - they keep the residents occupied with fun things to do. I thought the transition would be much worse but she settled in very quickly. The facility is clean and well appointed. My mom thinks it's a hotel! Good staffing ratios. Beautiful outdoor areas that are bright and sunny but sheltered from the wind with umbrellas for shade. The weather is always nice and warm so it's a great place for folks who love being outdoors. The memory care

I would say it was a friendly place to live. It's fun to table hop at meal time; you meet all the great people who live there. Food is good. I always felt safe in the neighborhood.

Truewood has been amazing! My father-in-law is receiving excellent care, loves the activities, and has made lots of new friends. Their communication with us has been great!

My mom has lived here on and off for three and a half years. We returned after trying different places because she is most comfortable at this facility. The staff is attentive without being intrusive, and quick to tell me of any concerns. I feel confident putting her in their care, and trust their judgement in medical emergencies. It is clean, elegant and efficient. Mom is in a remodeled room and it was done well. All in all, I feel confident recommending Riverstone Terrace and have done so with my clients when asked about the facility.

They are very sympathetic to the family and try to make things easier. Their staff is very caring.

My favorite thing is the large courtyard in the center of the facility. Very large, pretty and safe. It's like a small park. Mom is out there walking daily. They have fantastic activities. Something going most of the day.

1. Overall experience. (5+) From the start of this very difficult experience, everyone has been so helpful, understanding and informative. Staff answered all of my questions, often before I could even ask the question! Throughout the process of getting my mother moved in, I was completely comfortable with the decision that I made. 2. Cleanliness of the facility (5). This place is amazing. With the size of the facility and number of occupants its appearance both inside and outside was immaculate. The inside air was, for a lack of a better description “Fresh”. No overpowering fragrances, just clean fresh air. Fragrances lead me to question air quality…What unpleasant smells are they trying to mask and cover up. Not here. 3. Friendliness (5). The entire Staff, Caregivers, Medical personnel, Cooks, restaurant workers, Janitors and handymen always have a smile on their face. Upon seeing or passing them in the hallway you’re greeted with a cheerful “Good Morning” or “Good Evening.” My mother has been there since [date removed] and I’m amazed at the number of Staff that know her name and apartment number. 4. Quality of care. (5). I couldn’t be more pleased. Especially with the medical staff. From [date removed] my mother had 3 medical episodes requiring 911 assistance and transportation to a local hospital. Medical staff responded immediately and began attending to mom. While this was going on, Staff members moved furniture and other items knowing the first responders would need room to work. Very impressive!! Considering I was a law enforcement officer for 44 years and had responded to 100’s of medical incidents throughout my career it was clear to me that ALL staff had an assignment, they immediately responded, knew what their task was and handled. 5. Administrative Staff (5). They were extremely helpful from the get go. In addition to knowing my mothers name, they remembered my name as well! They frequently are seen walking through the hallways talking to residents or popping into activities rooms. They also are very available if I’ve had a question. They expertly guided me through the entire process, told me what to expect and how to organize matters for my mom. 6. Food. (5+). I frequently had lunch or dinner with mom at the beginning, honestly, I was checking up on the quality of the food. The Chef and staff prepare delicious, healthy meals. Not only is the food good, it’s “presentation” on the plate ties it all in. I actually call mom to find out what’s on the menu and go to dinner with her. 7. Activities (5). Numerous random activities throughout the month. When mom moved in she was very recluse which Staff had warned me about saying that new residents frequently exhibit that characteristic. But in keeping with what I’ve touched on above, Staff had a plan. They would daily stop by moms apartment to take her down for meals, activities. Staff would place my mom at certain tables with other residents, knowing that they would engage mom on issues and topics. I refer to these residents as “Closers”!! They knew how to “close the deal” with a new resident and make her feel welcome and at Home. That was very comforting to know that they helped mom adjust to her new environment. 8. Value for the money (5++). You definitely get your moneys worth here. Honestly, when I began touring communities, Atria Park was my first stop. I toured other facilities after. With every tour, I couldn’t help comparing them to Atria Park. This one is too dark….Atria had light everywhere. This one is too Quiet…..from the moment you walked in to Atria Park it sounded “Alive”. There was no contest. I knew where I wanted my mother to live. Please pass on my thanks to all that were helpful in this endeavor.

What we like the most about Cornerstone Assisted Living is that it is family owned, they supported my mom through a complex out of state move after my mom had a health crisis. Very friendly and caring, they were flexible and met us where we're at. I really appreciate the staff and clinical team's support in helping my mom regain her mobility.

Chef and food have been amazing according to my mom. The price if affordable comparatively. They had many activities that seemed appropriate for mom too. Highly recommend Atria Park of San Mateo!

My mom was only under their care for two weeks as she passed just two weeks after moving there.. they freshly painted her room, put in new carpet and fixed some minor repairs before she moved in. The staff were very helpful and available. She had too short of a stay to evaluate the care services, meals, activities and value for cost.

They let my mom bring her cat. Plus they check on her every 2 hours. She is bedbound. They are very patient and understanding

They have been very helpful with my cousin. The staff is very kind and friendly. My cousin really likes it there. The food is good and they will go remind him that it is dinner time if he forgets. I would recommend it to anyone.
