Brookstone Terrace

The director of the facility spent over an hour on the phone answering my questions on a Sunday afternoon. We frequently see the activity director on weekends spending time with residents. She has so many excellent activities planned for the residents.

Honestly...a 5 across the board. I am so happy with everything and everyone at Carriage House. My mom is being taken care of in a kind and friendly manner and I have peace of mind. Based on the experience, I have already recommend this community to other families!!

Staff are knowledgeable and attentive each resident's needs. The care is personalized. Fun, engaging activities are the norm daily. The facility is always clean and presentable.

Needless to say, we were very pleased with Brookstone Terrace! Nursing staff was awesome, whoever was available to help a Resident did so. Many times, a CNA not assigned to my father in-law gave him care. They Worked as a team. I worked in the geriatric health care setting for Over thirty years and never saw this!!

Very clean place well laid out most courteous and professional staff you will ever meet. Kept me informed on everything. Lots of things for Entertainment all the people seem to enjoy it seem like all enjoyed the things they had going on the food everytime I was look very good everybody seems to enjoy it.

Wonderful,caring staff. Very clean and well prepared for all residents. We were so pleased at the care of my father in law and how compassionate they all were. Would HIGHLY recommend A Place for Mom and The Carrage House.

I can rest so good knowing my mom is happy and safe at The Oaks at Chanticleer. The staff makes me feel welcome. They make my mom feel at home. I can't express how clean the facility is. I can't express how homely the facility is with a salon, ice cream parlor, bus station, huge rooms and so much more. The Oaks is God send. I prayed for them!

Staff is very friendly. There will likely be more activities when the weather gets better. Right now the 3 sunrooms are locked due to the cold. In the spring and summer there will be plantings of flowers and vegetables

I'd say 5 on everything except maybe food. Not that I ever ate any but at one point my mom was supposed to be given finger food because her eyesight was pretty much gone so it was hard for her to use silverware yet when I'd go in there it wasn't what I'd call finger food. It was like raviolis They were very caring with her and at least what I witnessed treated the patients with respect and patience.

My husband has a nice private room and bathroom. We have been encouraged to bring personal pieces of furniture and pictures to make him feel at home. The staff have been extremely nice and caring to both of us.

My dad was admitted post admit for encephalopathy. He was wheelchair bound, barely coherent. The team at Brookstone set me at ease that they would care for him and that I had nothing to worry about, and they kept their word! PT/OT and primary care the nursing and activities staff is second to none. The administration so caring and collaborative. The facility is stunning. I slept well knowing he was in good hands. I am forever indebted to the team here. And they will forever hold a place in our hearts. My dad recovered, better than ever imagined under their care. And if/when he needs AL care again. I’ll not think twice of where to go!! We love you all!! You were there for us in our darkest hour. And because of your support and guidance, we achieved outcomes never imaginable.

I see residents move in that improve. They adapt well to the environment and staff. The staff are attentive and provide wonderful care. Once you enter the front doors, you will be greeted with a smile and such kindness.

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. Carriage House and their staff have been incredible in helping with the difficult decision to move my grandmother from her home to an assisted living facility. They welcomed her with open arms and made the transition as seamless as possible. My grandfather, who initially stayed at their personal residence, became a regular visitor, joining her for meals every day. When he didn’t show up one day, it was their staff who alerted us, recognizing it was unusual for him. This prompted us to check on him, and we discovered he had fallen at home and was unable to get up or call for help. This revealed underlying health issues, and when he needed respite care, the staff immediately stepped in. They quickly arranged a room for him, allowing him to stay close to her while receiving medical care he needed. The care and compassion they have shown to both of them have been exceptional, and I couldn’t be more grateful for everything they’ve done.

I would recommend. It was affordable, and it was small and felt intimate

Take a tour of Carriage House and you will find a very responsive staff but also a very homey feel. Carriage House is set up like small communities for residents. Rooms face small corridors of 3 to 4 rooms. This facilitates interaction of residents like small neighborhoods. The dining arrangements allow people to group together to socialize in small groups. It is possible to have meals in their room, if desired. It was an amazing feeling to leave our loved one at Carriage House, knowing she was in the best place possible. But more convincing was when over the weeks and months that followed she has nothing but praise for the entire staff, food, and activities! We made the RIGHT choice!

Overall, extremely pleased with the facility. Its Small size is a great fit for my mom. We looked at more expensive, fancier places with more amenities, but would choose Brookstone without a doubt, even if the cost for all facilities was the same.

They were superior to the places she stayed before then, here, and in Washington. [name removed] needed Memory Care and Brookstone excelled in their treatment of Memory Care folks fully without constraint as part of the community. Have you visited locations where the Memory Care was a split out section that was locked, darker and very unappealing? Brookstone is unique in fully integrating them in the overall community. No question this was better

This was a great place overall. They had lots of fun activities for the residents. One of the few complaints I have was about the food. It left a lot to be desired. I highly recommend Brookstone Terrace of Thomasville.

It is best place for my husband at this stage of his disease. Overall appearance, arrangement of room and common areas/garden access.

I like the smallness of the memory care center. I like that there is a door that keeps the regular residents from the memory care residents. Everyone is friendly and knows family by name. It is nice that I can go to the people in the facility and express my concerns.
