Brookdale

I would recommend to others, my dad hated every minute of it but he would have felt the same way about any place but home. We picked them because they were cheaper and he had his own apartment with a door going out side which I was able to put up a little portable fence so he could let his 2 little dogs in and out!

What we like the most about Brookdale Canopy Oaks is the friendliness of the staff - Keeping people current on activities - Willingness to help and serve. Based on the experience we have had, yes we would recommend them to other families!

The staff is very friendly and caring. There are different size apartments available to meet your needs.

I'm so grateful that we found Brookdale Assisted Living. The people here are so caring and sweet. We felt welcome from the very start of my moms time here. Mom walks a lot more than before she moved in the Brookdale, and she has gotten a lot of great helps with walking and remembering things. She has good things to say about everyone here. I've noticed it, too. Everyone here is so nice.

We had the best experience from the minute we walked in the door! [name removed] was outstanding every step of the way! She is beyond patient, was super responsive, answered all our questions and was so professional! Everyone at Brookdale (residents and staff) were so kind. We also worked with [name removed] on the move part of the project. She could not have been any more helpful, kind and knowledgeable! We thank you both for such a positive experience! You made our moms move so easy!

I’ve found our Marketing Manager, [name removed], to be highly professional, empathetic, knowledgeable regarding marketing strategies, and a team player when it comes to her peers. She totally involves herself with her job yet easily moves to help residents as needed. Her Marketing events are presented in a comfortably fashionable manner. All I all I feel [name removed] is quite a find and Brookdale Allenmore is so lucky to have her.

Got a good attitude, has people skills and sees to needs of residents . Points out amenities Brookdales ’ has offered. Checks back with the resident to see if she can help when moving in. If there are any concerns they follow up.

My husband and I chose this apartment just the right size with a patio and little garden. People are welcoming and caring. The residents the administrative, the maintenance crew, the dining staff. The wonderful activity planners. I have found kindred sprits and have friends galore.

[name removed] has been very efficient with new residents. She has also assisted many residents adjusting their apartments. She is very knowledgeable with regards to an individual’s needs. I would highly recommend Emily to friends and family for our next step in our life.

THE FOOD SELECTIONS ARE GOOD AND THE STAFF REALLY TRIES TO PLEASE THE RESIDENTS. THE ANNUAL PRICE INCREASE COULD BE LOWER. THE DAILY ACTIVITES ARE ENDLESS. THE OVERALL SAFETY IS APPRECIATED. THE LOCATION OF THE FACILITY IS EXCELLENT-------NEAR RESTAURANTS AND SHOPPING.

My Dad has been at College Square for a little over 7 months now and we are so pleased. We know he is well cared for and loved by everyone there. We toured several places and while others may have been more updated we knew it wouldn’t compare to the staff we encountered at College Square. Great place!

I am so thankful that our family chose Brookdale for my aunt. The facility feels very comfortable and clean to me. The staff was incredibly helpful during the administrative process to get her moved in. My aunt has lived there 14 months so far, and we intend for her to love out her days there. She is so peaceful and much healthier how than when she moved in. The staff are helpful and friendly in every way.

Brookdale South Bay has been a great for my disabled mother. There is a third-party company that has caregivers who can meet my mother's needs. The staff at Brookdale is very friendly and helpful.

I would highly recommend. The staff was outstanding. The facility while dated was kept in good condition and very clean.

Highly recommend - the staff was amazing!!My favorite thing about Brookdale was the staff - they go above and beyond for their residents. They felt like part of our family - and I miss them now that dad has passed. I also really liked the layout of the facility. One big circle (square) made everything accessible, but somehow afforded a good amount of privacy. Side note: it was important to me that if/when Dad became weaker or his care needs increased... I didn't want to have to move him to a different facility. I was very upfront about that with everyone I talked to. Brookdale assured me that they were able to care for most residents through end of life. And true to their word, they provided excellent care for Dad through to the end. Even assisted with us bringing Hospice in the last few days.

Our family member recently moved to Brookdale Potomac and is receiving excellent care. The nurses and other staff have been professional, attentive, kind and patient. He is able to receive PT, OT, primary care and diabetic care onsite. And he enjoys the home-cooked food and many social activities, including musical performances and field trips. The resident rooms and common areas are clean, spacious and bright, with a beautiful outdoor patio area. It's a friendly atmosphere, with a resident dog and very caring people, in a beautiful setting. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for assisted living or memory care.

My family had a good experience with Brookdale Ray Road. They found a room for my Dad and prepared it for his arrival. Unfortunately my dad's condition deteriorated and we had to cancel our plans. We had paid the move in cost and one month rent and we're not expecting a refund. But Brookdale refunded a majority of what we paid without any effort. I think they were fair and we're nice to work with.

Brookdale is very responsive to my aunt's needs and have been caring and kind. The staff, nurses and management understand the difficulty that comes with big life changes for older individuals and the concerns of their families when they need to transition to full-time care living experiences. Brookdale has been a huge blessing!

We recently moved my mom into Brookdale and I couldn't be happier with the decision. From the beginning. I was impressed with the friendly and welcoming atmosphere. The staff are helpful, attentive and genuine in their care. Both the staff and residents is a welcoming community. Another highlight is the food. It is really good! It is a difficult decision to find the right place for a loved one and I feel she is surrounded by a warm, supportive environment.
