The staff at this facility is very nice and compassionate for their residents and community, the facility is always clean and comforting. They always greet you with a smile.

My dad was not sure about moving here to begin with. He had a fear of nursing homes. After he was there about a month and had time to adjust, he loves it there. He has made friends and the staff is top notch. They are very family orientated and call me with any concerns. They are VERY proactive with their residents care and this is a great thing. He has not always been the most cleanest person and they encourage him to bathe daily and if he does not, they contact me. They monitor his blood sugars and are constantly in contact with the dr. I have nothing but high praises for Bristol Manor in Palmyra. Genevia, the administrator is awesome. She takes the time to get to know her residents and they are considered family to her. If your mom or dad needs a place to call home but still want some type of independence, then contact Bristol Manor.

[Names removed] that are the best managers ever! Things have greatly improved since June of this year when the last managers were there. All of the residents are like family now. The managers treat everyone with so much respect, cook great meals, keep everything so clean, and do medical tests in the privacy of their rooms. I hope [names removed] stay forever!!!! They deserve a huge raise!

I have lived at Bristol Manor for almost 10 years now. I’ve met a lot nice folks during my time here. When I first came here I was a bit hesitant about a residential care facility. Being a disabled veteran I admit I had a few doubts. I couldn’t have been more wrong. The staff was immediately caring and courteous. Over the years I’d say that people that come here start to feel like family with one another. [Name removed] the house manager, is constantly in good mood. I don’t know how she does it. And she is highly competent in everything she does whether it’s passing medications, preparing meals, dealing with diabetics, seeing that the staff do their jobs correctly and always caring for the residents. In my opinion this place feels more like a nice an apartment atmosphere than a facility. I love having my own room to myself and not having to share it with anyone. The meals are excellent. The back porch and meadow behind the manor is a nice place to sit out and visit at night too. All and all I don’t think there’s a better place you could find like this. I’m thankful this place was listed when I was looking for somewhere nice and peaceful way back when.

I'd like to thank the Administrator, Ms. [name removed], for being so helpful, full of knowledge and experience with a wonderful personality. She has given me a peace of mind knowing that my mom is in a place like home. The place is well kept and always clean. And, the smell of home cooked meals makes me smile knowing that my mom is eating real food. I also would like to thank Ms. [name removed] for everything that she does. There's no doubt in my mind that my mom is where she has to be like home. Thank you.

My mom was skeptical at first she had her my mind set she wasn't going to like living there thought it was a nursing home..even though I assured her it wasn't it took about 2 weeks an now she's absolutely loves it at Bristol Manor . It's very clean the staff is wonderful with all the elderly people..an my mom loves their food .lol..an it's awesome watching the workers giving their love an care to each individual..they treat them like real people an not a number or a piece of meat. There is one lady that works their don't know her name but I call her smiley cause she's always has a smile on her face..you can tell they really enjoy their job.. thank you all for your help an service.

Our mother had a medical emergency that ended in her needing an assisted living facility. We were thrilled to find Essex of Ozark was able accommodate us on short notice. They were incredibly helpful, guiding us through the application and other necessary paperwork. Before we got mom placed, and even more so now, they are very communicative whether it be a financial, medical, emotional or other issue. This is a whole new way of life for mom, but they've helped her acclimate and are sensitive to her emotional and physical well-being. She loves the home-cooked meals, too! I've enjoyed getting to know [name removed] and [name removed] and am confident mom is safely in the right place!

Called about my dad moving there at 8am, and by 4pm; he was moved in. It was a relief knowing that he was being taken care of, and although I love my dad more than life itself, I finally was able to sleep all night without needing to wake up to check on him every couple hours. When I visited dad the following day, he was eating and laughing with the other people living there, and acted as though he had been there and knew them for years. Thank you all for everything you do. I know how hard it is and how much pressure you have, but you all stick to it and go above and beyond what needs to be done.

My mother is currently residing here. This is the 3rd facility that she has been in, 2 years. The facility is clean, closer to family with lots of shopping and dining close by. Staff is very friendly and works with me on a weekly basis about my mothers medications and let me know if she's not eating or coming to meals, which are provided. I am thankful we found it! Residence are friendly and very sociable.

We are happy with this nice community for my mom's care. We like the caring staff and the cleanliness of the community. They offer a good healthy menu. The list of activities are helpful for the residents who are able to participate. We would recommend this community for the care of a loved one.

I am happy with the care from the staff at this community. This is a smaller community. The community offers a lot of great meals that are home cooked. The community is clean and a nice positive environment. I like that she is happy with they have a dog for her to enjoy. I would highly recommend this community for excellent care and value.

I love knowing my dad is taken care of and I don't have to stress about him getting his meds, etc. Being a smaller community he gets more personalized care.

I toured this community and it was very nice and taken care of. The menu looked appealing. They offer a lot of nice activities for the residents. The staff was able to answer this I would recommend this for families to come and see the community for the care for a loved one.
