Bridge Senior Living

My mother has recently made the move into this community and although there could be some improvements things have been going okay. The meals I have to say are some of the best that I have tried. They always have a great meal selection with lots of great selection. The staff could use some improvement on there organization and quality of care is the complaint I would say I have.

Woodbridge seems nice enough, there were just little things that made it less desirable to me. I didn't like the activities in the basement and the place felt dark.

This is a very nice community. My tour of it went well. The community looked very nice. Everything looked great. The staff was nice, and friendly. This community was too expensive for our budget, but it is a very nice community.

Lynn was very nice, patient with my mom having to get along slowly because of being in a wheel chair, which we appreciated, but, it would have been so much better if my mom would have seen the rooms first. After roaming the halls to see the cafeteria, library, puzzles, cafe, etc..my mom was exhausted when it finally came time to see the rooms. To me that was the higher on the list thing to see first! You might want to consider this for next time! Other than that, mom is trying to get accustomed to her surroundings and seems to be enjoying meeting new friends.

My loved one has been at the facility for several months. Most of the staff that interact with my loved one are caring and upbeat individuals. However, the medical/management personnel are unable to address/recognize and contact appropriate doctors or family members promptly to resolve medical issues. If your loved one lives here the contract states that the Bridges will obtain and manage health care, but our experience has been that service is not provided and if your family member lives at the Bridges, you will need to be prepared to constantly follow-up, manage and resolve those issues on your own. Most of the management's expertise is in the area of providing "lip service" when they are asked to address your concerns, but my experience is that nothing changes. Overall I expected more from the Bridges and am quite disappointed with the amount of time-consuming tasks that the family continues to be responsible for, most of which are things that should being taken care of by the Bridges (and for which the contract states you are paying for). You may get more value using a nice hotel with room service and a good concierge service. Therapy at this facility is provided by an on-site independent agent (billed to Medicare), and am not convinced the therapy offered is more than an effort to relieve the Bridges of some of the responsibility for "social interaction", which also is not fostered here. My loved one is not in the memory care unit, perhaps that is different.

They could improve on their services. They promised a lot and we moved in and they did not even notice my parents for like two weeks. But we've sat down with them and they've improved in the last three weeks though.

Seem to be short handed on staff. The staff didn't seem to know we moved in. Missed laundry, making the beds, baths and dinner table assignment the first week.

My mother was at Somerby in Peachtree City for a year and a half. It is a beautiful facility with the potential to be a wonderful assisted living facility. My mother was cared for well but the lack of communication from the facility and the difficulty communicating with people in charge there was a huge issue. We had to BEG for care plan meetings to discuss my mothers care and even after meeting, nothing changed. It is impossible to call someone to speak to about any problems. For the amount of money spent on care at Somerby, I would expect top notch service and response to emails and/or phone calls. Emails and phone calls go unanswered and follow-up is slow to non-existent.

Many assisted living features in the all inclusive pricing however the facility seemed like a dressed up hospital. Very sterile and predictable.

Nice place but no availability.

This didn't really work for us. It wasn't as cheery and bright as another community we were considering. I didn't like that the rooms were just one big room. I wanted something with a separate living area from the sleeping area.

Did not have a dimentia unit.

Beautiful facility. Small but open memory care. Comfortable and new. Like a hotel. $650/MONTH includes all physical therapy, etc. They do not have a nurse but have a memory care program manager to keep patients fit. Food good.

The Blake community is very clean and beautiful but overall a bad experience especially for all the money I have had to pay. Several times we have been served breaded pork chops that are hard as a brick, overcook most thins. Best meal I have had was breakfast. Personnel just wants to parent you like a child.

We planned to pick her up on Christmas morning (after she hadn't lived there a month) and she was locked in her room at 930 am. It took 5 minutes to find someone to open her door so we could get to her to take her out. Their Christmas dinner was white bread sandwiches. I seen the residents the next day, they were very short staffed and had 2 CNA's to care for the whole unit. The girls were in tears. Everyone was not up and taken to the dining room, most had not eaten by the time we got there after 945 am. I had a meeting shortly after to remove my loved one. I had a breach of contract for the manager to sign and they refused. The Activities Gentleman in memory care was 5 stars!

The facility itself is very nice. They have very little for the seniors there to do . It tends to be a very boring place. Mom ended up getting sepsis and was seriously ill by the time I was notified. Nursing director doesn't return calls. Seems like they are understaffed or possibly just neglectful. The look of the facility is very nice. Food was good. Just nothing to do there that is interesting for residents.

Let me say our family looked at 10 other Asst. Living before choosing what we thought was the "Best" of what we had in our area. Both of our Parents moved into a nice 2BR Apt. We were told Mom qualified for Memory Care area, but Dad just needed help with Med schedules, Meals etc. Within 3 weeks we got a call that Dad had eloped from the facility. They had them both over in Memory Care and we would need to come move their bed and clothes immediately b/c they could no longer stay in Asst. Living area. They gave us another 24 hours to remove all the other belongings from the apartment that would not or could not go into Memory Care Room. Dad quickly declined and passed within 4 months ! Since Dad was helping Mom with many of her day to day needs. (2 months later) Mom now required more care, we were urged to look into a sitter. When Mom fell in their common area & was sent to ER. I received a call saying she could not come back without a 24 hour sitter. So we stayed the night with her, within 2 days they were handing us a Care Level Increase of $997. So apparently they charge for your loved one needing more hands on care plus make you provide that care with a private sitter in addition to their Monthly charges.. of over $6000. .Once we told them we were looking to move Mom they backed off 24 hour sitters and said 12 hr would work. We moved our Mom to another facility. I will also state that Mom had some wonderful Caregivers at this facility. They do hire good caregivers. Just be aware if you think your loved one will be allowed to "Age Out" in place..as they kept telling us during the sales tour. We found they would have to be on Hospice Care or have a Private sitter. FYI: Sitters are $16 -$18 per hour. So now our still grieving , Alz/Dementia Mom is having to adjust to a new Facility. Breaks our hearts things worked out like this.

My mother has been a resident for 5 weeks and is not happy. The facility is very short staffed. The wait time for meals in the dining room is quite long, although they have recently hired one more person. My mother has not had anything positive to say about the food. It's seldom more than lukewarm/tepid and she has waited up to 40 minutes for a sandwich from the "always available" menu. Her unit has never been cleaned by housekeeping on her scheduled day, again due to staffing difficulties. Several times she or I have had to seek out a housekeeper to find out when or if her unit will be cleaned. I have had to track down her laundry (one load of sheets, towels included in price) due to it not being returned and emptied the trash more than once because housekeeping did not show up. None of the services promised have been delivered without intervention from me or my mother. Chef prepared meals? Yuck. Weekly housekeeping? Sporadic at best. Laundry? You're better off doing it yourself. My mother and I are very disappointed. We had high expectations and to this point, nothing has been delivered as promised. The Estates really needs to get their staffing levels up to the point they can deliver what is promised in the sales pitch. We are looking at other options ASAP.

There are a lot of complaints on the diningroom food and service

It has been a terrible experience for our precious [name removed] The management team is awful. They say what they know we as the family want to hear but they do not resolve major problems. We are utterly disappointed with Enclave. It is evident that they don't care about the resident only their budget.
