We struggled a bit with the move in and orientation, there wasn't a lot of follow up or attention initially to help my loved one settle in. It took a week to get a welcome packet BUT since then everything has been wonderful. The staff is excellent and the general atmosphere is very upbeat and welcoming. The residents all seem very cheerful. I would absolutely recommend Somerby of Mount Pleasant to others.

Overall good experience. Biggest concern is that they are short staffed and I should have asked more questions about staffing

It had all the features I was looking for- physical therapy, activities, meals, care, salon, access to podiatrist, and the specialty dog for those missing their pets like me.

The staff at The Enclave of Newell Creek is wonderful. They are very caring and helpful. The activities coordinator is super responsive in Life Loop. Anyone working the front desk gets ahold of appropriate staff when we need something. The button works too, but my loved one won't use the button. Nurse [name removed] is very good at creating a customized plan for each resident. Helpful tip for new families: ask nurse [name removed] to walk through daily schedules for your loved one. That way you understand what to tell them regarding when care givers will be walking into the apartment to clean, grab laundry, change bed, etc. Also, schedule a follow up several months after move in to walk through changes you might want and go through personal observations to get a more customized care plan in place. Never feel like you're bothering the staff. They have a quick easy way to communicate with Life Loop. Nurse [name removed] is better with email. We would recommend the facility. The food could be better, but it is nice to have food available all day.

I like that staff take care of my mom very well and that they all like her. Many go out of their way to talk to her. Read to her, etc. They seem to genuinely care about her. The only issue I have is that it takes a while for staff to answer the call bell. It has since gotten better. I really have no other complaints. They take really and care of my mom. She didn't utilize the activities

Dealing with communication of financial dept. and change of care contract's could definitely be better. But mom and I love it. I would definitely recommend the Enclave to someone. We were really struggling to find mom the right fit.After a couple setbacks in other facilities we were blessed with meeting you.

Things have been going much better now for several months. Facility is one of if not the best in the area. Staff is very friendly and attentive. (My brother moved into HC in Feb 2022 when they had been open only 4 months, so we experienced some growing pains, staff shortages, and miscommunications.)

Somerby of Mount Pleasant is a very nice facility and we truly believe the staff members genuinely care. It is difficult to see our loved one decline but we feel she is safe and well cared for. Based on the experience we have had so far with this community we would absolutely recommend this community to other families looking for a place for their loved ones.

Overall, we're happy with The Blake and feel we're getting good care for mother in law. Nice community with friendly, capable staff, and clean, comfortable accommodations. The only thing I would add is the food choices are sometimes not well thought through as it relates to the individual's capabilities (i.e. soup is hard for some to eat, meat is hard for some to cut, spaghetti is hard to eat, etc.).

The food is fantastic. We picked this community because, it was recommended by A Place for Mom. Upper Management needs to take better care of the staff. It is simply a very pretty place, and I enjoy my visits. The residents are so sweet, and overall it's a nice place. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Great options to take the shuttle bus. Creates an environment to promote socialization, specifically the bar.

The staff was amazing. They are able to retain and keep staff, which is good. They were making improvements with the food. We picked this community because they were kind, and able to get my loved one in right away. I would recommend to other families.

Communication wasn't that great but my parents were living in the independent cottages so I don't know how it would be in the building.

Our family had an in person tour and it was a nice experience but it was just not going to be the best fit for our loved one due to the level of care that she was going to need.

I liked Somerby at St. Vincent's One Nineteen. I thought it was an Inviting place and looked good for independent living.

This has been a great fit for our loved one and family. The staff are great; however, there is a high turnover of dining room staff. I have had a chance to dine with my loved one, and I have tried to help serve the residents while I was there. There are three meals a day provided to the residents, and there are choices for there meals. The most important thing to the family is our loved one is safe, secure, and cared for while here. There are a lot of activities offered to the residents, it would be nice to see more staff be proactive in engaging the residents in the activities offered.

My mom was only there for a couple of months, and she went in on hospice care. So she didn't get to experience the activities and was on highest level of care there. When she would press her call button, we were frustrated that it took a long time for someone to respond. I know they've had a lack of staff - they're trying to hire more people and can't. I understand that a lot of places are currently experiencing that. The staff they did have were all good. They were friendly. They were just overworked and couldn't get to everywhere they needed to be. Also related to staffing, we had some concerns with cleanliness and noticed a smell in the memory care unit sometimes. I always thought the assisted living portion of the facility seemed really nice, and I wish that my mom could have experienced that. We were very happy with all the people we met at The Enclave, and when she received care, it was great. It was just often a long wait to get that care.

People were very nice. Just much further from where we live and almost too big.

The food/accommodations were sub par for a bit, but they have gone above and beyond to fix this and it has been noticeably better. The accommodations are on point. The price is what it is! All in all, the entire family is very happy!

We have had experience with the management before with at a different time so with them being at Somerby of Peachtree City we felt very comfortable with our loved one being here. We have been really happy with the head nurse [name removed], they have really been on top of our loved ones care. We have joined our loved one during a few meal times and we think the meals are just fine, but her and some other residents have had a few complaints. However, based on the experience so far we would recommend this community to other families.
