Bloom Senior Living

My mother is doing pretty well since her move to this community. Everything has worked out well so far, and I'am satisfied. This is a nice community. I know she is safe and in a good place. The staff is wonderful, they are taking good care of her and her needs. She is getting involved in the community with the activities they have available. She is very pleased with the meals. They recently had a wonderful Christmas party for the residents and their families, and the food was great. This is a great community, and I would recommend it.

Family atmosphere, fairly small number of residents. Staff are kind and helpful. There's been new management in the past year and much turnover. Improvements being made to the facility. Food is good and residents enjoy outings.

Their admin and financial ladies were absolutely fabulous. Each went above and beyond to do what needed to be done for my BIL. The house staff from housekeeping, dietary, aides and nurse were great. I would were given a 5 but the housekeeping inside the room was not the best but the housekeepers themselves were so friendly and nice! The facility was tastefully decorated and clean. I would recommend The Bloom

Staff is all friendly. Facility is cozy and nice it might need some things refreshed. But I went to 7 places when I was deciding and I felt the most at ease here and still feel that way. I and my dad are pretty happy with it.

Just like a lot of things, residence will get out of the experience at The Bloom what they want to put in. There are a lot of wonderful activities and people, but you have to get out and participate. For those who introverts or don't want to leave the room, the staff members who come to assist can sometimes be a little harsh. I'd like to add that the other residents are kind and encouraging of new residents. Great food, fun outings!

I like the staff. A fairly level stability. Some have been on staff for years. The building is older, but has recently been renovated. It could still use some upkeep on the outside.

Our relative is the sharpest in memory care and she needs to occasionally be with other people she can communicate with. I used to see patients in long term care at various facilities as a physician assistant and I feel Bloom is one of the better options.

What we like the most about Bloom at Kokomo is the affordability and room layout. Easy to work with staff. We would recommend this community to other families based on the experience we have had so far

The facility is old, and the upkeep was questionable from the owners Based off of our experience, I would not recommend Bloom at Bossier to others.

Prices are already increasing, which is disappointing. The facility is generally clean, although I often smell unpleasant odors. Some of the staff are friendlier than others. They only give residents baths once a week, which I feel is not enough. Often residents have to wait long periods of time when they request help. Meals are sometimes not good, especially on weekends. Activities are generally enjoyable.

My wife has been here 2.5 years and we have had a good experience. I have a great relationship with the memory care director and staff. They are professional and kind. The community is beautiful, and the staff is my family.

Kesslerwood was nice. We preferred another community and thought it was a better option for our loved one.

I hate being here; however, I do recognize this is where I need to be. The staff are all excellent to work with though. They are good at caring for the residents as well. There are times the food is excellent and other times it is drab. There are times that you can't tell what vegetables you are eating. The sweets are pretty good though. there is a good quantity and variety of food available.

I would say to give this community a try. I would try to make friends, its hard when you first go into something like this so it can take a while. I would recommend them for your loved one.

We chose Bloom at German Church because they were able to provide a private room under medicaid. The room itself is average size, it could be a little bigger but it is fine. I like that they have the beauty salon amenities on site. They also provide minimal transportation for appointments. I would recommend them to other families.

I would recommend them to everybody. But I would make sure they know it seems like they have a slight communication problem. Different people tend to call me with the same questions over and over, which can get a little aggravating why they're not noting these things in my mom's records. That's really the only issue I have with them. They're very friendly, and they engage my mother very well. She's a lot happier in this facility than she's been anywhere else. Everyone seems very sincere and kind.

The nursing coordinator and the wellness director have been very approachable and easy to reach. I have not had any billing issues or major complaints so far. They seem to offer a good amount of activities, and I've gotten to know the activities coordinator well. She's very personable and friendly. This is the first experience we've had with assisited living, and along the way I toured several different facilities. I was most impressed with Bloom because of the staff and directors, and it's only a few miles from where I'm located. Each time we've had any maintenance issues, like a lightbulb out or the AC needing attention, they've been pretty quick to respond, although that can depend on timing with weekends and such. During Covid, they've had some employees leave, which has affected things like timing of meals and laundry services, but those services are still there, which shows that they're trying. And I think that speaks volumes.

Our experience was only for a week, but during that week the staff really did try to help us out and work with us. It was pricey but there are other communities in the area that are more expensive that do not give the residents the correct attention.

The facility has a wonderful sense of community and stability. The residents are well cared-for, and the staff greets everyone by name. My main concern is that the rooms for the assisted living residents are only 275 square feet. Downsizing and moving are going to be hard for my mom. I think going from a 3-bedroom home to one room would be too drastic for her.

The rooms could be cleaner, communication was I would recommend this community to others.
