We picked this community, because of the location and quantity of staff. It's the best place for your loved one. Excellent care all the way through the end of life. Every place has issues and they will work with you to correct them.

They took a lot of time to walk us through things and also let us know that should he eventually need memory care, he could be moved without fuss to their memory care. They took the time to feed us lunch so we could experience the food. The director of the facility came to talk with us over lunch. While the lunch was going on he noted a resident who seemed down and excused himself to go over and talk to the resident. He greeted every resident by name, so do the rest of the staff. That says something about the people who work there. My dad really loved a dish in the dining room and mentioned it, the chef came out to talk to him about her recipe. Overall they just made the best impression. It wasn't that the other places weren't good but The Blake just felt right. I will say my dad was leery of giving up his primary care doctor because he really liked him, but The Blake chose a great doctor and he is very happy to have her as his new primary care.

The Blake at New Braunfels has been a great experience for my loved one and family. The staff are kind and caring towards the residents. The staff communication has been great with the family when we have questions about our loved one. This community was out top choice as it was close to family and a newer community.

The main reason that we chose The Blake at Hamlin in the first place over others that we toured was mainly just due to how convenient the facility is to my home. My mother says that the meals are very tasty and satisfying and she especially likes the fact that there are activities that are going on 7 days a week.

You were taking very good care of my wife and I do appreciate it. We would most definitely recommend The Blake at New Braunfels to other families.

Our loved one absolutely loves The Blake at Hamlin. She really likes all the different activities going on and we get a monthly schedule that shows everything. She really enjoys going out on their shopping trips and to the luncheons. They also bring in live entertainment during dinners. We see her multiple times throughout the week and she is always bragging about how much she loves it here and to us that is the most important thing. Based on our experience we would most definitely recommend The Blake at Hamlin to other families.

They worked very hard and worked with us to get my family member into The Blake. I appreciated their guidance, otherwise I would not have known what to do. They were knowledgeable, professional, and helpful. They were very efficient in their evaluation to place her at exactly the right care level where she needed to be in the facility to have her needs met. The staff were all very friendly and were there for her for whatever she needed during a difficult time.

Our family had an in person tour and we found the tour guide to be extremely helpful and the tour experience great

I visited every other facility in the area and the Blake was the best. He had been in two other places and there is no comparison. The staff, food, cleanliness, activities are all first rate. If I have a concern or request, the staff does everything to assist in a timely manner. The especially love the nursing staff. My husband has seizures and they are exceptional handling him. I would suggest looking at Facebook pictures and go visit. The staff will take their time to assist you and answer any questions you have. I couldn't be happier with the entire staff. I also visit almost daily, so I know what excellent care they take of all the residents.

We are very pleased with the care at The Blake. All of the staff is friendly and will call the residents and family by name. The dining experience is superb from table service to delicious chef prepared meals. We love that our family can eat with them, and the feel is that of a restaurant. The on-site visits for medical care, therapy, and medications is not only easy but allows for consistent continuity of care and at a managed frequency by the facility. The activities available on a daily basis are appropriate, fun, and varied for everyone's needs. I love that they go to the orchards, wineries, decorate, pumpkins, paint nails, have exercise class, pet therapy, or have movie events. There is always something to do regardless of your state of life. The entire experience has reduced the burden of my family as the caregivers and provides them better care than we were able to do. And it has given them more independence than they would have had with in-home care. The only situation that could be smoother is with their back office operations. It has taken multiple months to get the billing straightened out, and there isn't any online access or anyone readily available who can speak to you about charges, payments, invoices, etc. All in all, there is no doubt we would make the same choice of this facility again.

Our family had an in person tour and we didn't see anything we did not like, we thought it was a fantastic tour but ultimately it just came down to location and what would be more convenient for us.

It's a beautiful new facility. Staff very professional and I wouldn't hesitate to refer anyone there. They are all very compassionate and caring my aunt has advanced Alzheimer's and she loves the food couldn't get her to eat in previous facility.

Warm, friendly and inviting is the first impression from The Blake at Hamlin, this continues throughout the community from all staff. A true sense of a caring neighborhood from management communication to residents assistance from the care staff. Meals are carefully planned and served in the bright spacious restaurant, lots of activities happening in and outside the community. The Blake at Hamlin is a great addition to the Horizon West Community for all our seniors.

The Blake has been so amazing with the transitioning process as well as throughout the continuing living for my mom in their assisted living. My mom recently had surgery and is in a rehab for a short time and she can’t wait to get back to The Blake. My mom received a homemade banana pudding created by the chef for her (she loves banana pudding) and brought to her by someone from administration from The Blake along with a sweet card signed by many of the staff and leadership. The personal touch given by The Blake is so reassuring for family members as well as the resident. They always ask if there is anything special she wants to eat and provide a good selection of options. Everyone is kind and attentive. Also, the communication is great regarding your loved one.

I have referred many of my senior clients to The Blake @ Hamlin. What they tell me the most is how friendly the staff is and how good the food is!! They are happy with all the choices. I have been to a few events there where the chef prepared the food, from breakfast sandwiches to meatloaf, and fabulous desserts. Everything has been outstanding. I highly recommend The Blake @ Hamlin!

I have several residents that I follow in this facility and have had the pleasure of getting to know the team. Every event I've been to has been outstanding- they always go all out to make sure the residents and their families feel special. It is a beautiful community with top of the line dining and amenities but they've also got a great team here that truly cares about each and every person that walks through the door.

My loved ones have been here for a while. Everyone is very friendly, kind, and patient with my loved ones. It is reassuring to having peace of mind for the family that are in a different state than our loved ones, and know they well taken care of. We feel that our loved ones are in good hands, and we trust them. Some of the care offered to our loved ones include: bathing assistance, dressing assistance, and medication management. I can't say enough good things about The Blake. The laundry and bedding changes are also taken care of for our loved ones.

My siblings and I are all pleased with everything that the Blake at Waco has to offer so far. Staff is very friendly and accommodating to our parents needs.

Our family did not get a chance to make our scheduled tour, however the staff at The Blake have continued to reach out to us when though our loved one moved into a different facility -and they have continued to check in on us and see how our loved one is doing. That to us shows great customer service and says a lot about their team

I love The Blake!! It's an excellent facility and my parents are adjusting nicely to living in their independent care cottage which is simply beautiful. Yes I would tell a friend.
