Benchmark Senior Living

As soon as you walk in, you get a warm and fuzzy feeling. It’s a more lively place, which is what we were looking for. Every time I’ve walked in, they're singing Karaoke or they have a band set up. It’s decorated so beautifully. You feel like you’re at home. And we liked that the apartments have kitchens in them.

This is a great community for someone that has memory issues and is in need of memory care. They have activities like games where they engage the people, movie night and live musicians that come in to entertain the residents. They do have outside activities also for the residents. Games, sing a longs, walking club and spiritual services.

The community is clean and well organized, the staff are very friendly and very good with the residents, they are very attentive. He very much enjoys the meals and dining service, and really enjoys the activities. We are very happy with the value for cost it is excellent.

Our loved one moved here after coming from a different facility and we are just having a night and day experience. Since Adelaide of Newton Centre is only focused on memory care our loved one is getting the attention and care he needs. They labeled him as just a mild dementia patient where our loved ones previous community labeled them high risk. They have been able to manage him medication properly, as well as keep up constant communication.

We have been very happy with The Arbors. My mother feels extremely well cared for and "loved". She gets support whenever she requests it and she absolutely loves the food provided. Since moving here, my mothers health issues have improved tremendously because of the attention from nursing staff and the doctor who works here part time. I would highly recommend to others looking.

The community is very clean and the staff members have all been super friendly. Since our loved one has moved in the meals and dining service is improving, she no loner complaints. The activities seem to be okay, but they do get repetitive so we wish they came up with more creative ideas, but we really appreciate that they take our loved one to church every Sunday, that was a big selling point. The community is only about 5 minutes away from us and the lady who gave us the tour was really understanding, and compassionate. It was a hard transition for our loved one at first, but now she is finally understanding why she is there. They staff make such great efforts to always encourage her and motivate her to stay active and engaged with everyone.

This community is a wonder place and I am so happy that my loved one is there . You must go and check it out for yourself this is a wonderful community for your loved one.

My mother and I visited the Branches 3 times. I was more than taken with the decor (modern, brightly lit and comfortable) the staff-[name removed]and the nurses and chef we met, the food, the garden and the considered way it was planned. I loved that they would encourage people to participate in group activities and try to find worthwhile work for them (for mom it might have been ESL tutoring and gardening) but if people didn’t feel like socializing, they would bring their food to them at no charge and with no questions. She is in a larger, less lively place, but I wish she was there…

They're excellent. They would be my first recommendation. My loved one is in a locked unit for memory care, and the staff is wonderful. I can't believe how they never raise their voice to a patient. They always speak softly, and that's fabulous. The residents' days are filled with activities if they choose to participate. I found the cost to be more reasonable than other places I looked at, yet their facilities are a lot better. I can't complain. My loved one has her own private room and bathroom. And It's very nice, like a 5-star hotel.

They are amazing. The staff are unbelievable. I have not met one person that was not friendly or wanting to know if they could do something for me.

They're wonderful. They keep things very clean. Every time he spills something on the floor, they come right in and shampoo the rug where he spilled. His apartment is always clean. After I had been in there just one day, they already knew my name when I walked in the door. They make visiting very easy. The care they provide is excellent . They're very concerned about everything that he does, and they take very good care of him. They've gone out of their way to soften the food for him. They have plenty of activities, and they always ask and invite him to participate even though he always declines. I think it's a little expensive., but they provide great care.

The one thing that made us not want to go with this community was the fact that they required the residents to get vaccinated. We did not believe that everyone should have to be vaccinated. We liked the community but that one thing pushed us to another community.

There are current restrictions due to covid but there are trying to do some activities with the residents. I would recommend this community for your loved one. The staff are confident and helpful and the administrator is great.

Whisper Woods of Smithtown is an extremely nice facility and we had a great tour, it was just too pricey for us.

This was a very nice community. It wasn't as diverse as I wanted it to be.

We had a great first impression with The Branches, they instantly made us feel like family, they made us feel included. Our loved one is enjoying the meal and dining and we do know they have activities throughout the day.

The staff are all friendly and helpful. They seem to have activities almost every day for the residents. They have badminton with a balloon, they have trivia, and a couple other activities. I would highly recommend this community.

For our family's tastes, it was too big, and more expensive than other places we looked at. They had a butler service where you could have a butler assigned to your loved one, which was an extra exorbitant charge. The facility was very high end and very nice though if you can afford it.

The community was very attentive and did a great job communicating with us on anything that we needed to be aware of. I would recommend this community to others based on my experience.

We had a good our with The Atrium, it is a very nice facility but we just ended up liking another one a little bit more.
