we decided to walk in to take a tour, as this was advised to see day to day. glad we did,we felt the atmosphere to be hectic. we were not greeted at the door,in fact we sat ten minutes until we were greeted by a nice gentleman from the kitchen area. the building has a strange aroma,and feels dingy. my husband used the bathroom and found urine stains/aroma on the floor. hallway carpets are stained,and the paint was peeling in one area. we decided to cut the tour short ,as the sales person was asking to many personal questions...not for us.

we have been here for a while now,and find it ok. we enjoy the companionship of the residents who we have become friendly. food is very good,the girls in the dining area polite and seem to care about the people who live here.laundry needs improvement, housekeeping non existent. we wait a long time to get our apartment cleaned,when we ask when they are coming, the man who is in charge tells us we have to wait,very rude. with all that we are pretty happy here.

we are using a past review to compare our thoughts. overall haverhill crossings does a fine job for what is expected. care is good some days others not as much. we like the fact there are bus trips etc, this takes some worry about going to store, social engagement etc. the girls in the dining room are wonderful ,also the food is pretty good. we are concerned with the cleanliness of the bathroom and overall housekeeping. laundry is lost, not sure if the housekeepers have been trained ( lack of supervision ? ) answers are hard to come by : " we are doing the best we can " etc. we hope some new leadership will inspire!

we came in to visit our aunt recently ,not what we expected to see. the apartment bathroom looked as if it hadn't been cleaned for many days. the toilet and the floor were filthy.when we asked to have it cleaned we were told she would have to wait until her scheduled cleaning day? ( supv.) my husband and i cleaned up the messes,and went about our visit..we are generally happy with the care at haverhill crossings ,food etc. maybe we came in on a bad day ,hopefully our next visit will be more enjoyable and not spent cleaning rooms..

Hi, I have lived at haverhill crossings for a while now. most things promised to me when I toured have been ok. gourmet food,not quite but is very good.we do have fresh seafood and lobster rolls, and there is a selection of other items to order.laundry not so good,lost items etc. housekeeping rushes in and out,my daughter cleans my bathroom after they leave, she doesn't mind but we pay a lot of money to have it cleaned.so far I am happy enough.you can be happy here if you do not expect to much

I live at Haverhill Crossings, for the most part I am happy. Of course I miss my home ,but I have adjusted.. My findings so far: The girls who care for me are pretty good,some good some not so hot. I was surprised the food is very good,nice selection,the waitresses are very sweet. ( best is cheeseburgers and the hot soups).. My complaint is cleanliness..,my apartment is supposed to be cleaned,the housekeeper is not very good,the supervision is non existent. My visitors say the building is dirty and smells like urine.Bathrooms is the hallways are disgusting.Sorry to be so harsh,but I am frustrated!!..I will be looking elsewhere

food was very good on our visit,cute and funny waitresses. building had an aroma of urine,no activities past four o'clock.not the place for us

Please understand that if family has not notified the birches of intent to vacate room within the 30 day contracted limit, and your family resident passes away, the family will be charged an additional 30 day cost for the room your family member occupied .

All bells and whistles. There are more affordable assisted living facilities in the area where your love ones will be safe and taken care of properly. Recommend asking for a tour in the evenings or weekends

The layout and care in this facility cannot be beat. Perfect for my mother who likes to wander. The rooms are large and spacious. Most of the LNAs that have cared for my mother are outstanding. They treat her with kindness and she is always happy. As the review before mine stayed, the management turnover in this building in 2013-14 has been atrocious. I just found out that the lovely activity director is now leaving. The activity staff is the highlight of the building. They bring light and creativity to even my mother, who wouldn't pick up a paint brush before coming to The Arbors. They bring fun and educational programming to people that most would say can no longer learn. A concern is bringing old staff back in. It seems their sales department is a constant rotating door. I guess if you don't fill the seats, you're out in a month. This time they brought in a loudmouth woman that used to work there. All I hear from her are negatives. I was in the lobby today and she was saying how horrible the Christmas tree looked. The tree my mother helped decorate. It's a shame to see so many people come in and out and this LCB company holds onto the bad seeds. I hope this company wakes up before they lose even more families.

Mom fell the first night she was there and two more times within the first few weeks, the last time fracturing her pelvis! She spent more time in the hospital than at the facility. They had assessed her before we moved her there and said that they could adequately supervise her. What a joke! We feel it was a total sales job just to get the money.

My mother was there for a few months until her passing. Biggest mistake of my life moving her there. The sales pitch was great until it’s too late and you realize you were talking to a used car salesman. They make serious mistakes with medication, not giving it correctly or sometimes not at all. The LNA’s are kind and caring, way too overworked. Management in the facility is horrendous. So unkind and rude. Downright hurtful when my mother passed. I should have sued but mentally and emotionally, I couldn’t handle going through the process. Trying to grieve my mother was more important.

Tread carefully if considering Greenwich Farms(GF). My father was a resident there for almost two years. He was treated pretty good overall, however, it did not go well at the end. On [date removed] GF sent him to RI Hospital. While there the doctors said Hospice was the next step. He entered Hospice on [date removed]and passed away[date removed]. On [date removed], we cleaned out his room and notified the director that he was near the end of life. This was all done prior to [date removed]. In January, GF reached out requesting payment for the month of [date removed]. I explained he passed and was paid in full through [date removed]. GF said they needed 30 days notice if moving out and therefore $[removed] needed to be paid for January. I said I do not think that should apply to this situation as GF sent him to the hospital and there was no way we could have predicted his passing and given 30 days notice. GF said they would consider that and get back to me. I never heard back and I assumed it was

We were not thrilled with the quality of care that my mom received. Very expensive and it felt like money was more important than people. We quickly worked to relocate her to a better facility. They also lost some of her clothes and didn't send her prescriptions when we moved her out.

My mother began using assisted living services at Benchmark when she was no longer able to independently walk, dress, use the restroom, or transition to/from her wheel chair. She was not in memory care, but needed assistance with these physical tasks and was provided a pendant/button to press anytime she needed help using the restroom or with anything else. It can take a very long time for staff to respond to those calls, and sometimes they do not respond at all. We raised this w/ management numerous times over the course of months and were always told it had been fixed or it would be resolved, but it was never taken care of.

I have visited a resident many times. I will start with she is happy, says people are friendly and doesn't feel alone. What I have seen of the meals is less than palatable and mostly room temperature. Fish cakes you can pick up like a hard roll. Sandwiches with 1/2 piece ham & 1 slice of cheese. Haven't seen fresh fruit or fresh vegetables offered. A small salad w/dressing that not everyone likes. There is no variety. Some of the same meals are given every week. Where are the meals/food so eloquently mentioned in your brochure? I'd like to know, would you dine with residents and eat from their menu?

They will add on unnecessary medical equipment without checking insurance first. They will add visiting nurse and charge Medicare when the resident has no real medical history that warrants this. The front desk receptionist is rude. Staffing does not do Q15 minute checks, my father fell 5 times in 22 days. I finally decided to take him home, where I should have left him and never chose this Community.

Overall not happy with the care received for the money we were charged. They were so helpful getting him admitted but no so much when his health declined right after admission.

Nothing in terms of the transfer went according to the way they said it would. Also. Now that we're 45 days in it seems they pulled the old bait and switched on me telling my mother and myself that the price would be one thing and that they did an assessment and then get in the door and the assessment doesn't matter and they raise all the prices above what we were .Looking at in other homes

Staff under qualified - poor judgement leading to poor decision making resulting in atrocious outcomes for resident. They ultimately evicted resident due to their admitted inability to provide adequate care.
