Benchmark Senior Living

We toured this community for the care for my mom. The staff were nice and had a lot of good qualities for the care of what my mom needed. This community was not what we needed at the time. The staff was nice and very friendly/ They offer nice meals and activities for the residents. We would suggest families take a tour for the care of a loved one.

This community was having some renovations done when we visited. It was nice inside and the people we met were nice. They offer daily activities and pets are allowed. This community was unfortunately out of our price range.

The community was nice and seemed clean. It was a little larger community than we were looking for and it did feel a little rundown. The people were lovely.

I was torn between this community and another one. The Bedford Falls is an excellent community. The place is well maintained and the staff is very friendly. The tour guide is knowledgeable and answered all of my questions. It all came down to which place was closer to my home.

The staff here is great and they are very nice. They have been trying to do everything they can to make sure that my loved one is comfortable. However, I did have a huge problem with the medication that my loved one received. It was not right and my loved one fell and broke an arm. I feel there is just a communication problem, but it is being worked on.

I am continuously amazed at the level of creativity down to the smallest detail to make the lives of the residents as normal and independent as possible.

Not much in those negative reviews make sense to me. My Mother has been in Sanctuary Care since it opened and has been very happy. This is a community and family should become part of the solution when possible instead of hypercritical. I read the negative reviews to my husband and he thought something was a little fishy too. Tour the facility and meet with the staff before making your decision. It helps to try to walk in the shoes of the caregivers. Extremely difficult job which sadly I could not do myself. I admire anyone that is in the profession of caring for elderly and especially persons with dementia. I am not that strong a person and I know it but I can be helpful and supportive of those taking that are doing what I cannot for my mother.

My loved one was here for a while. It was okay, but we chose them in kind of a hurried situation. It was much more expensive than what we were looking for. She was going to complain about the same things no matter where she went so we moved to something more affordable for her.

There has been a high rate of staff turnover since my family member took up residence. It is not the same. Generally, the staff is nice and caring. Unfortunately, most residents are bored in the afternoon/evenings. The staff are not active w/the residents. The food leaves a lot to be desired ~ hot meals are lukewarm; not offered beverages, same thing day in/out; they charge family to eat there....ridiculous $$ for what is served. For the cost of residence, family should be able to eat for free when visiting. I will say that housekeeping is very good~clean, laundry done BUT does not always make it back to the right resident. YOU must be aware-things get lost/stolen...don't keep anything of value in the rooms. It is what it is and serves the purpose needed but very sad. It is not the worst place but for the money could use improvements or cut in cost.

Compared to Emeritus this is the second of my favorite places. I have no complaints, about my mothers stay here. They treated her nice and she was well taken care of. The food was always good and the care she received was great.

I have been a healthcare professional for thirty years, I currently have a client who is a resident in the Harbour Program at Greystone Farms in Salem NH..The facility is warm and inviting, more importantly the staff and administration excel in providing the outmost care for their residents. Greystone is a progressive influence in the healthcare industry .I would highly recommend Greystone Farms Assisted Living as a haven for your loved ones..Pam Nolin Health Case Manager

Overall I am happy with the care provided for my mom. The resident care assistants (I don't believe they are CNAs) are kind and caring. There are LPNs that oversee medication and medical issues. I follow my Mom's care, visiting twice a week and making sure anything that needs addressing is taken care of. She is able to have physical therapy there which has been very helpful. The activities director is wonderful and keeps the residents engaged.

wonderful, warm and friendly facility for my brother to live. The staff have gone the extra mile for him.

Very nice Assisted Living Community. Their Harbor program is one of the better dementia units in the area. My father had been in another community in Stratford (hint: begins with the letter "A") and the care he received there was horrendous. Not as "secure" as one would think. Middlebrook Farms is far superior.

This is a beautiful facility. They change the decorating frequently and keep it looking lovely. I never feel like I'm going into an assisted living facility but more like a nice hotel. Dining is elegant. The staff is very friendly but the management has changed 3x in 1-1/2 years. My biggest concern is that they "assess" the client every 3 months and every part of the assessment is given a number. The numbers are added up and thats how they determine the care level and the monthly cost. Ours has gone up 3 times in the last 1-1/2 years (not including the yearly cost of living charge). Family has no say in this assessment. The monthly cost has gone from 4500 and change to 6700 and change. Something to think about before your loved one falls in love with this place.

From the moment we made contact with the Atrium at Faxon Woods, it felt like a place where my mom would get the care and attention she needs. She has Altzheimer's and is in a wheel chair, so she really needs all of her personal needs taken care of by another. I was surprised by how much they are able to do for my mother! After she broke her hip and could not rehab in order to learn to walk again, I was sure she would be in a nursing home for the rest of her life. That is not what I learned after seeing the Atrium!

This community was up on a hill but it looked out over a busy street and train tracks so the location and the views were not ideal. It was a nice place with nice people and everything but not the place for us.

Forge Hill will be taken over by Benchmark Senior Living -a chain-on Nov 1. Some of the rooms that get the sun are stuffy and air conditioning is not truly controlled individually. The staff is caring and personable. The food is varied and good.

There is a lot of dysfunction at this facility and lack of communication. I would not recommend this place. Communication in general. Doesn't appear that anyone talks to one another. I've had many calls with the nursing director and executive director.

Staff - Most staff interactions have been positive, with employees generally being helpful and friendly. A small number come across as more firm or gruff with residents, though nothing overtly negative has been observed. Activities - There appear to be a reasonable number of activities scheduled throughout the day. From an outside perspective, it's unclear how consistently residents are encouraged to participate or how often they choose to do so. Food/Dining - Based on observations, the dining experience seems like it should be a good one overall. Cleanliness - Individual rooms can sometimes feel a bit disorganized depending on resident mobility and routines, but the facility as a whole appears to be well maintained. Overall - Costs have increased fairly quickly over a short period of time. There have also been a few health and safety incidents that raise some concern, particularly around awareness and supervision when issues arise. While appropriate precautions have been taken when needed, these situations have had a noticeable impact on overall well-being.
