Baldwin House Management, LLC

My loved one is currently a resident at Baldwin House Hazel Park Senior Living and overall things have been great for her at this facility so far. The building is clean and the staff is very nice. The facility offers great daily activities. It feels very safe at this facility and my loved one feels very safe. There are no meals, but they do have a 24 hour self serve store. I would recommend Baldwin House Hazel Park Senior Living to others!

[name removed] was wonderful to work with. It was very clean and the staff friendly. Value for cost was very good. We ended up moving him to[community name removed], but only because we could opt out of the food and pay less in rent (fee removed vs fee removed) - and because my husband's cousin has a home health contract there and my father-in-law needs assistance in order to live in an independent living location. Our circumstances are unique. We are trying to do everything we can to keep him in Michigan and not have to bring him down to Georgia away from his family and friends. Other very subtle differences between the two locations that I thought were superior at Baldwin House: the entrance to the facility was very open and not closed off at Baldwin house; the units had large closets that had better accessibility; At elm haven , the kitchen was a little bit larger, but since it's still wasn't really an eat-in kitchen, I would've preferred a slightly smaller kitchen and more room in the living room; a Baldwin House, the living room, had luxury plank vinyl as opposed to carpet that makes it a little bit easier to walk if you have a rolling walker and easier to clean; finally, I don't know whether this is an advantage, or not, but it Baldwin house, the default for the stove was "off". I think this is because you can't opt out of meals, and they wanted to discourage cooking inside of the unit. However, you could opt to have the oven turned on. With my father-in-law we were able to get by with a countertop to burner plug-in and a microwave.

The staff is very friendly & accommodating to both my Dad and me. He reports that the food is excellent. The activities and facilities are top notch. The a la carte pricing system is a better fit for my dad than the more typical care tier system. I would move in if I could!

We absolutely love everything about Baldwin House! They have created a community where my father in law feels comfortable. He's a very reserved person, and it's so nice to go there and see him socializing with staff and other residents. The staff is absolutely AMAZING! We enjoy the variety of activities that include family as well as the daily activities for the residents. Again, we can't say enough good things about Baldwin House. This place is an answer to many prayers, and my father in law is very happy there!!

I would tell others looking into Baldwin House Hazel Park that all of the staff members here have been extremely helpful during the whole move-in process and transition period. They have also been very responsive to any questions or concerns that we have had. The apartment size is perfect for my brother-in-law's needs and the convenient parking and laundry facilities have been key amenities for him to use.

I was impressed with the curb appeal, the cleanliness of the facility and the friendliness of the staff, there are plenty of organized activities scheduled and the space inside the apartment seemed adequate

I was totally stressed out when we had to move our Mom. I experienced every emotion. Just trying to find a safe place was overwhelming, I made at least 60 calls and then gave up hope. Then I called the Baldwin House and Christine answered, what a calming voice. I went there immediately!! This is a beautiful place, the rooms are gorgeous, the activities were unbelievable, the staff was so warm and professional. I signed right away. The Baldwin House in Hazel Park Senior Living gave me my smile back!!!

I would give them all a 5 star even though my mother in law likes it there and she was totally against it. The people running Lloyd's Bayou are friendly and very helpful. It is a very clean environment. Based on the experience we have had so far, we would absolutely recommend Baldwin House Senior Living to other families looking for a community for their loved ones

it has been a great experience so far. From leasing, to moving in, and living there almost a year. My mom really loves it there. We would highly recommend Baldwin House.

The reason that we chose Lloyd's Bayou Senior Living over other places that we visited was because when you walked in, it smelled like an apartment building rather than a nursing home. The others we visited were off-putting with the smells. The staff here are very kind and really look out for Mom. I could not ask for more attentiveness.

I talked to my loved one today. My loved one had prime rib for dinner and they are very very happy at Lloyd's Bayou Senior Living. I feel like we should have done this a year ago. My loved one's apartment is so cute.

My mom would give them all a 5!!! She is REALLY enjoying it there! First off, my mom is very social, and she loves all the activities that are planned. She does something every day. Gosh, I have to make an appointment just to talk to her . Haha

I would encourage others to go here if you are independent. The community is friendly, the food I thought was pretty decent.

I would tell and have told relatives and friends that this is the best move I have made. Atmosphere is friendly, activities that enable you to meet residents, and socializing keeps you from isolation.

Activities have been scaled back for Covid reasons but overall they are trying to keep the residents entertained. There has been a recent turnover of administration which concerns me. We have yet to meet the new administrator. The medical team provides quality care in general. They are struggling with decreased staffing and any scheduling snafus are understandable. My Mom is very happy there

My family has had a very good experience at Baldwin House Brownstown. I have no complaints. It's clean. It's safe. The staff have good communication. And it's close to my home, so that helps too.

We chose Baldwin House because of the convenient location to her church, the value for the money was great, and just how fast and quickly they moved to get us in. They did not have a waitlist so we were able to move in right away which was lovely. They have a respite care unit as well and my mom had just had surgery and they invited us to stay here so it was like a try before you buy type of thing. They are delivering the meals to the apartments and because of that, the meals are quick and simple. It does not taste good and is not geared towards what the residents would like to eat. Overall I would recommend the facility to others looking.

The people were all lovely at Baldwin House. The staff are very heartwarming and they really cater to your individual needs. They have a lot of nice activities and events for the residents. They do things like birthday parties, potlucks, games, etc. It is an absolutely beautiful and wonderful place. The grounds are well kept and they do a beautiful job decorating for the holidays. I would highly recommend them to others who are looking.

The community is very nice. The views are really great. The staff are wonderful here! The office staff are helpful and work with you to make sure all your needs are met. The meals are excellent, and meals are served at a specific time to be able to be served food.
