Azura Living

Our family had an in person tour and the tour was great. It was led by the activities director so a lot of what she talked about made us really excited.

We chose Azura because I liked the facility and I thought my introduction was very thorough and positive. I like their general theory on working with residents who have dementia. I love their flexibility and their willingness to work with my mom. Her behavior has gotten more aggressive as the time has gone on and they have been super understanding and looked at different options to help her and us out. I would definitely recommend them to other families.

I like that the residents go on outings, and that staff take and share photos of the outings. Long term staff know her name and her routine. They can work on staff retention; I see new faces often, usually on the weekends. I know this isn't anything new, especially in today's economic situation, but hopefully things will turn around.

[name removed], the nurse is always very responsive to our questions. As far as food goes, they need to serve it warm to begin with. By the time it makes its way to Wirth House it's warm at best and often cold. Chicken quesadillas should probably contain more than just chicken...perhaps a little cheese and some salsa on the side??

My mom moved in when they first opened. We chose Brookfield Azura for it's home feel, accessible layout and close proximity to family. At times there have been normal challenges keeping it staffed, but my mom loves knowing the other residents (and families) and especially enjoying a bench on the front porch. It's truly a home!

Overall quite satisfied with care, except our loved one's room could be cleaned better.

Great deal of turnover in staff. Training seems okay, but try to reduce turnover and discourage staff use of phones.

Azura was great. Very caring staff & many medical services that came to Azura to make the resident's & families' life easier. Unfortunately my mom passed away last year. I will recommend A Place for Mom & Azura to anyone in need of senior living.

My family and I had a good experience with Azura Assisted Living and Memory Care of Fox Point. The staff were good at keeping the family informed about our loved one. The community was clean when we would visit. Everyone seemed to be friendly. Overall, this is a community we think you should check out for your loved one to see if it would be a good fit.

1. Experience - 4 2. Cleanliness - 4...mom moved in on short notice, so their were some things that needed to be addressed, however upon relaying the information to Azura, they were handled timely 3. Friendliness- 4...most everyone is very friendly. [name removed] and name removed] have been great to work with 4. Quality of Care - 4...very good, however, occasionally in the beginning meds were being received too late in the morning. 5. Food - 2...food is not great. It is generally Luke warm to cool when served, and taste of most entrees is not great. Unable to get teabags, so we had to supply mother with her own. 6. Activities - 5...activities are great. Something for everyone. Mom enjoyed their outing to the movie theater and is now enjoying watching the Brewers on the big TV. 7. Value - 4...overall we are quite satisfied with Azura, although assisted living is very expensive, we believe Azura is living up to our expectations as far as services/care provided for the money.

This is a great place for someone with memory problems. Engaging activities several times a day. Staff is friendly and caring. Food and snacks must be good, since my loved one has put much needed weight on. Most important, he is happy living there.

Overall the staff at Azura Oak Creek is very caring. My only gripe is with my moms supply of Ensure & Boost supplaments. They seem to disappear! What is happening to them?

Everyone has been very helpful and kind. My room is very nice. Everyone is friendly.

I love the atmosphere and have been very please with the staff. My only disappointment is that simple test for something for a UTI are not available on the weekends and have resulted in a hospital visit via ambulance. I was expecting weekend service for this.

We chose Azura Memory Care of Brookfield because it came recommended by a friend who had her mother here and had a good experience. After I toured the property I was impressed and liked what I saw. She has complained about the food a couple of times. They had brats for a couple of days in a row for lunch and dinner. They have 2 chefs here, one of them does a great job and cooks a good variety and the other just makes whatever is easiest. In the beginning she loved the food but after about 2 weeks it started changing. It seemed to me that the food was going to be very impressive, but from what I have heard so far it has not been what we were hoping for. She did say they make wonderful deserts, but overall they could improve on the variety on the menu. They seem to be understaffed a lot, but I know that is an issue everywhere right now. They are doing the best with what they have. The staff that they do have are very nice and caring.

Administration of medication is my biggest concern. Medications are distributed but are not always consistent. Sometimes they're missing a few or they don't have the correct meds. They are attempting to address it. Staff is always changing which is confusing my dad.
