Avamere

This is the best community for independent living and assisted living in the area. The staff have been great to work with. There can be a slow response due to staffing issues in the dining room. The food taste is superior.

My loved one says that she likes the food. This is a caring community that treats the residents with respect and dignity. My loved one really likes the outings that they do and the bingo and exercise classes that they have. They have her up and going.

We chose Avamere South Hill because of the location. We also interviewed the staff members and liked what we saw. we liked the facility itself and the set up of the rooms. They do have different options on room sizes and they are more spacious than some of the other ones we had looked into. Overall, I would recommend to others who are looking.

The community has been great during the pandemic. I would recommend others look at this community for their loved ones. A lot of other communities I have been in had a smell, this one didn't have the same smell.

I enjoy living here at Avamere. I really enjoy and appreciate their staff. They are always helpful and full of fun!! The food is really good and the other residents are fun and very accepting of new folks. Come and join the fun we are a great group of people.

Friendly, caring staff. Everyone pitches in quickly to meet residents needs as they spot them. Sometimes the residents and/or visitors need to speak up so busy staff can recognise a need so they can help. Residents sometimes want to do a chore by themselves for which they need help/supervision for SAFETY sake. Those residents sometimes think they are imposing on staff. ie. Unsteady standing, walking, showering weak or elderly residents.

My mom moved into Avamere about 6 weeks ago, she was hesitant about leaving her home. The people at Avamere could not have been more helpful. Her transition has gone as well as we possible could have hoped, and we are very happy with our decision. Avamere Wenatchee used to be Columbia Heights. In talking with locals about residential centers to visit, I was repeatedly warned about poor experiences with Columbia Heights. Avamere is a completely separate corporation, and have all new management and staff. I find that people in Wenatchee still often refer to this site as Columbia Heights, and that the fair to poor reputation of Columbia Heights is unfairly associated with Avamere. I expect that my mom's experience at Avamere is very representative, and that Avamere deserves a much higher rating. Any issues we had during the first few days of mom's move in were quickly handled. The management have a lot of direct involvement with the residents, and the quality of care shows as a result. I would recommend anyone looking for a care facility in Wenatchee to visit Avamere, and don't let the reputation of the previous incarnation color your opinions. Avamere Wenatchee is a quality facility, and my mom is fortunate to be here.

All the caregivers that I have met, as well as the administrative staff and med techs have been very responsive to my Mom's needs and to our concerns whenever we have expressed them. I feel that my Mom is well taken care of, and the staff is very attentive and on top of things. She feel at home and seems to be happy to be there.

My mother has really grown to appreciate living at the Stafford. The staff has been wonderful and made the transition ad good as possible. The residents tend to be on the bit stuffy/reserved side but there seems to be more regular people moving in lately. There does seem to be a bit of turnover with residents as people that don't "fit in" don't stay too long but there's no contracts which makes relocating easy enough. The location is fantastic with plenty of walking areas and fields nearby. The food/restaurants are also wonderful and my mother does very little cooking at this point.

My mother entered Independent Living at Columbia Heights, Wenatchee Bonaventure (before corporate change) in 2010 and 4 years later transitioned to Assisted Living there as well. She lived there for 7 years total before requiring another transition to Memory Care which required a move to a different facility. I will just say that management involvement is the key, and in Wenatchee, they have the key. Nothing is perfect, but as I look back, I am so grateful for the staff, (many of whom are still there), and for the way they cared for my mom.

A wonderful facility that deeply cares for their residents. Friendly, thoughtful and hard-working staff combined with a beautiful facility with many amenities and plenty of activities to ensure the best experience for your loved one. They make it fun for families to visit. It is one exceptional community of friends with sincere warmth and fine care. The food is well planned and nourishing and the many creative activities keep seniors engaged, happy and healthy. Lovely setting with lovely people.

Things are going well for my brother at this community. The staff have been helpful, friendly and encouraging. They offer good well balanced meals. There are daily activities and the community is kept clean. I would recommend this community.

After the tour of the community my mom was set on becoming a resident. She liked that a window is in her room so she use a bird feeder and the size of closet was perfect to her. The staff are good with all they oversee and the community is clean. Since I am not there often, the staff give a couple updates. She is comfortable and that is what is important to us. . I would recommend them to my family and friends.

The staff are attentive and helpful. Mom does not like the food. They offer daily activities. The community is well taken care of and I would recommend it.

I got offered a complimentary meal while on tour of the community. It's a nice place well cleaned and organized. They offer activities for residents on site. The interaction between the personal and staff was good. I really liked this community.

Have only had my father in for a month and a half but so far seems like a winner.

I toured over 6 Assisted living facilities in the last several months for my grandparents, and I really loved Cascadia Village. On our first visit 2 couples approached us and told us how great the staff was and how amazing the food was, one couple had been there for 12 years and they loved it. Michael the manager has been a great resource in helping us get information on the VA benefits that are available for my grandfather, he has made this a much easier task and is very knowledgeable on this subject. The biggest selling feature for us was that after two years if you run out of money, and medicare/medicade kicks in, Cascadia will maintain the same level of care in the same room for the remainder of your relatives stay. I highly recommend this facility, the staff and guests are very friendly, caring and positive, I really feel that my grandparents will be taken care of like family.

There have been a few minor issues, but nothing too major. The staff is very nice and they are very attentive and helpful. The facility is nicely decorated and clean. Everyone is very nice here. Not bad so far.

We haven't quite gotten moved in yet. We are supposed to move in in 2 weeks, but now there is a delay. I met with one of the staff members today and she was very helpful and nice.

We were only there for a short respite stay, just a few weeks. They had excellent care for him there. It was clean, the staff was friendly. We had no complaints about food, or anything else. They did a great job!
