Avalon Memory Care

Both my mom and dad were residents here at Avalon. My mom passed a little over a year ago and my dad, recently. [name removed] and her staff were so caring and loving. They were such a great support to my dad, after mom passed away. They gave both of them very personalized care. This meant the world to our family. Avalon and their staff will always be like family to us!

We moved my dad from another Memory Care 3 months ago. We have no regret in making this move. The staff have made us feel so comfortable and they listen and respond when we have a question or concern. We also really love the mobile physician group that sees dad at Avalon. I would highly recommend Avalon to anyone looking for care of their loved one.

A little over 3 years ago, I had to move my parents from their home in East Texas, after my dad fell and broke his hip. He was the one that was caring for my mom who had dementia. We had to make a pretty quick decision and for us, it was so important that we kept them together. We needed a place that could care for both of them and after visiting a number of places, Avalon made us feel so comfortable about caring for both mom and dad, even though they had very different needs. My dad passed away a little after being there a year, and we lost mom a few months ago. The staff became like family to us. We will be eternally grateful.

We had to make the tough decision to place my mom following a brain bleed that left her with memory difficulties, but also with physical deficits. The hospital told us we needed to look at a Skilled Nursing Facility. They gave me a list and I went and checked out a number of these places on the list. When I went and looked, I knew I could not place my mom at any of these places. People were just laying in their beds, alone in their room. I am so glad that I found Avalon. They got my mom up, dressed everyday...and she was always in the living room in a comfy recliner when I came to visit. I know the staff loved my mom and they gave her wonderful care, all the way through the end of her life. I would highly recommend Avalon to anyone looking for memory care for their loved one.

My father has been a resident at Avalon Fort Worth, for almost 2 years. This was a very difficult decision to make for our family, and they walked with us through every step of this process. We were comforted by the great communication we had with their team, as dad got settled in. They have multiple staff members that have been with Avalon a very long time. There is no place like home, but Avalon has been a great, "second best", for my father and we are so grateful!

Avalon exceeded my every expectation. They cared for both of my parents over several years and did an such a wonderful job. I never once had a serious concern. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

Avalon Memory Care took great care of my grandmother and my father; both received loving care and were treated like family. The people who manage the facility truly care for the people in their care. It was a difficult time, but the folks at Avalon gave us a sense of comfort.

We would give Avalon Memory Care all 5s in every categories. They were exceptional. Especially the friendliness of the staff. Nicole is amazing. They got to know my mother quickly and were so accommodating and kind when she passed.

My loved one is currently a resident at Avalon Memory Care McKinney Ranch and everything about the experience has been great for her, so far. The cleanliness and friendliness is great. The staff, activities and meals are also great. I would highly recommend this facility to others.

I cannot say enough about how accommodating this facility has been. I highly recommend placing your loved one at Avalon if you are finding that their needs are becoming more than what you can provide to them in your home. This facility feels a lot like home. I honestly wish we would have moved him here sooner but these decisions are so difficult. My Dad has been through the wringer over the last year. The amount of relief we have experienced since we moved my dad here has been immense. The entire staff genuinely cares about the residents and has gone above and beyond on every front. My dad has been cleaned, groomed and made to feel so special. I truly wish there were more facilities like this for elders.

Avalon was an excellent fit for our Mother. On the initial visit I was impressed by how the residents seemed very peaceful and cared for by the staff. I then met with [name removed] and she answered all my questions in an honest way.

The staff is great. My mom is happy they take good care of her. Sometimes they're a little too overly cautious with her the night crew. They increased their rates by about [amount removed] a month which is a big increase on set income. That is the only negative off the top of my head and lack of activities, but I think that's due to lack of staff. That being said, if they're increasing the rates, I think the activities should be increased .. or they need to hire more staff.

I liked the location, atmosphere, staff, cleanliness, food and it's not too big. Price was a big factor also.Mom is very happy.

My mom is a resident at Avalon Memory Care Edinburg and everything has been great so far. Great communication on process and move in. I would recommend the facility to others.

Finding Avalon was a live saver for my family. We went back and forth on what to do with our dad…. The feelings of guilt and sadness were overwhelming. We wanted to make sure that he was with a place that treated him as an extension of their own family. We found just that with Avalon. Warm, trusting. Always available for questions. Finding the courage to trust someone with the patriarch of your family is a vulnerable time. Avalon made it easy.

My mother in law was an Avalon resident for the last phase of her journey with dementia. It was a tough time for her and us, but she truly received excellent care from the staff and was in a warm, cozy, clean and safe environment. Avalon allowed us to spend quality time with her as her children instead of being her caregivers. It was the perfect solution to a tough situation.

I was lost trying to find memory care for my grand parents. I was relieved to find Avalon. The company is family owned and the Avalon staff when I toured were so nice to me and my family. The Avalon staff took really good care of my grand parents, very attentive to them in their time of need. I highly recommend Avalon for anyone needing memory care for their loved ones.

The Lewisville building is gorgeous. The details of the home are phenomenal. The building is always clean. They have comfortable lounge chairs and even have a cute enclosed outdoor area in the backyard.
