My issue stems from a lack of communication. They always tell me about what they have confiscated from my parents in memory care, but no one ever tells me what the solution might be. They kept taking his disposable razors, but no one once mentioned that buying him an electric razor would solve this. Not until I was sitting in their office having a rather unpleasant conversation with them. They also told us that products "without warning labels" would be ok in their rooms. Then they confiscated their dove soap and when I looked over the packaging and the lack of any warning labels with them, in their office, they weren't able to explain why they weren't allowed to have dove soap... they just knew they couldn't. My mom also ran out of a medication that an outside agency administers (they won't do injections). I didn't find out that my mom was out of medication until she told me herself a week later. I spent about $[fee removed] over the next two weeks out of my own pocket for medication while we worked through insurance issues. I understand that they aren't the ones administering, but they are the ones storing and accepting refills. If my mom hadn't said something, we would have used up one of our insurance approved nurse visits for nothing because there wasn't any medication.

We've experienced some issues that are not favorable. I am not sure I will want my husband living there long-term if these issues go unaddressed.

I had two concerns the broken elevator and it was a little cold in the common areas. This facility was a better value than other facilities visited.

Good activity options, friendly staff and residents, nice food choices and availability, free transportation, but the rooms were horrible. Too small, too dated, no patios, no balconies. I treasure my private space and the rooms were just a few steps up from cells. Also, I dislike invasive State regulations such as no cooking, and random room checks.

My mother requested this place because she was familiar with it from other people. Depends if I would recommend... I was a little shocked that in January the cost is going up almost[amount removed] The cost was reasonable now I don't know

I'm sure it would be great for a younger, healthy individual. The food was great, the room was nice but was just a studio with no kitchenette as many have. The rent price was good - but I would not recommend if your loved one needs a higher level of care.

Is it s new facility with kind staff. The rate increase every year is very high. 9% one year. 12% this year. I would not recommend them because of the increases and there is not enough communication to the family.

They have trouble keeping employees but I think that is true with most companies now. I would recommend.

They leave their clients alone in the main lobby upstairs while they take care of other patients and nobody's in the main lobby watching over the other patients for 15 to 30 minutes so anything could go wrong

My dad likes being there, I don't really have much to add. Staff is nice

The staff are sweet but overworked. There is insufficient communication from administration. An entire set of staff disappeared with no notice or explanation. The nurse left and I never knew until I called to follow up on an unanswered text. She had been my one source of information and the only person to follow through. It's clean. The garden is a sweet area. The maintenance guy [name removed] was terrific and helpful. Admin initially built a relationship with me but then all left and there was no connection and no point person

Staff was friendly and my mother loved them. She needed someone to help her learn the routines I didn't realize how a new place would be so hard for her to adjust to. She was only there less than a month and the difference between what she was used to and learning something new was harder on her than we knew. It was sad because she liked having her own room, but she did not know when activities were happening. I guess she needed more support.

The place is well maintained. It's an old facility so it's hard to make it look new. The staff is friendly. Everyone is doing everyone's jobs. It's not necessarily their fault. I think there are too few people to carry out what is required. For instance, too many people are covering the front desk, therefore, no one really knows what is going on. For the woman who is here 4 days a week her favorite phrase is "I don't know." This is probably the main topic of discussion amongst the residents. There are enough items on the menu, but not enough to deliver an "excellent" or even a "good" meal. The food consistently comes out at room temperature. I sent one meal back 3 times recently because they kept delivering the food warm, not hot. There are several waitpersons who speak English as a second language and at times there is no guarantee you'll get what you order. In order to get to the activities, there may be several levels or stairs a resident needs to maneuver in order to get to the destination. There are a lot of residents who rely on walkers to get around and as a consequence can't attend events - me included.

Staff was always good, except for Sodalis. Food was fine. Apartments were usually on the small side.

Families should know in spite of what Atria says, there is NO health care given there. NONE. My husband ended up in hospital with sepsis after a week there, partly due to no med oversight. That is just 1 thing that they need to know before deciding to love loved one in--there is more. Nice staff and clean, bright property, but no medical care, even w LVN available.

The staff is friendly and they have a lot of activities. Concerns with Med techs some are great others are not. Better food, better communication.

Very nice place great people nice environment. Fun place to live . Great people who work here !!! I enjoy beading and activities . The Rabbi visits monthly. I’ve made many friends & enjoy their company.

Big fall off with communication with front office staff. When they couldn't answer a question, they were impossible to find.

I am very pleased with being here. Staff are very good. I het everything fixed when needed. Food too much sugar not diabetic friendly. Residents are nice, I sit with my group of ladies very nice. I've been to couple of outings and they are great.

Probably one of the worst things about the dementia unit is that there is only a very small outdoor atrium for my mother-in-law to get fresh air. A larger outdoor space would be so beneficial for these folks.
