Although my mom was there for a week they did well for us. It was not easy for her when moving into the community but we know she was getting great care. The staff are the nicest and friendly people. They answered all my questions and were willing to help in any way. I have no complaints about the community.

My stepdad lives here and we think it's great. Very clean, he enjoys the food and the staff is very helpful. Lost his laundry hamper once, but that's the only complaint we've had. He enjoys the activities, bingo, speakers that come in and do presentations, excursions to Blackhawk. Staff genuinely seems to care about residents, call everyone by name, check on them frequently.

My aunt loves the staff and I have had great interactions with them. They are willing to help with whatever we need. The community is clean and well taken care of. She says she likes the food. She participates in some of the activities offered.

I've been meaning to write a review for this place for a few weeks now - but never got around to it until now. I was visiting a friend who's Mom lives at this place, and we came over for a visit before heading back to Wenatchee to catch the plane home (I live in AZ.) The first impression walking through the door was not what I consider typical. The lobby is bright and colorful filled with plants, a copper fountain and some beautiful photography and paintings on the walls. My friend was greeted with a hug by one of the staff, and I was given one too because I was next to her! It was just before lunch and they were having a special BBQ with ribs; we were asked to join them because "there's plenty of food and everyone needs to eat." Although we didn't walk around the whole building, from what I saw this is a superbly run building. All of the staff were very friendly, the residents looked happy, and someone even came in with a guitar and sang during lunch! I call that first class all the way. If I ever decide to retire in Eastern Washington, this is where I want to live.

They’re great. They have a great number of activities! Number one: The staff is marvelous. The care, cleanliness is very good, but the staff really cares about the tenants. The food is very good. There has never been enough time where I couldn’t find a place to park, but people get a lot of visitors there.

My mom and I received a tour and lunch a few weeks ago at Apple Springs; it felt very warm...like home. Mike was our host and we immediately connected. He was very interested in my mom's needs, likes and dislikes. The staff was helpful, friendly and caring and so were all the people. A gentleman was visiting a family member at Apple Springs and started up a friendly conversation with my mom; that was fun. My mom really liked the studio apartment - it was roomy and felt like the it would be very comfortable to live in. She believed that she could make a very nice home there. There were plenty of activities for her, the food was great and everything was wonderfully clean without the feeling of "institution". I have nothing negative to say about Apple Springs...I would live at Apple Springs if and when I needed assisted living! She could tell that she would be cared for and pampered here. She believed that she could be happy living there. What more could a daughter ask for? I would be at peace and blessed having my mom live at Apple Springs Senior Living in Omak Washington.

Overall great! Food could be a little better... tremendous staff, excellent facility. Room size somewhat dependent on $s, OK; amenities like grounds, shared spaces staff support, great; 5 star-ish! Excellent staff and facilities.

Our family had an in person tour and it was a good overall tour experience but location was very important to us so ultimately this community was not going to be suitable for our loved one.

He is getting very good care here, they are just wonderful and by far the best that I have seen. The food seems very good and the snacks that they provide are varied. The staff are great with communication and they keep me well informed if there are any questions or concerns. The set up is really nice for the residents and they are able to interact with each other. This is the only facility that I have seen that I would recommend to others.

My father passed away recently and we were looking for a good assisted living community for our mother. We contacted "A Place for Mom" and instantly we received a phone call from an advisor. She was very helpful and gave us 3 places to start with and recommended we look at Normandy Park Senior Living on 1st Avenue. She has heard very good things about it. We took mom there for a tour and she loved it. Everyone was so friendly. It was really clean and the halls were really wide. The Director at Normandy Park (Jill) was very nice and mom asked questions and she explained everything so mom could understand the benefits of living there. We had lunch in their dinning room while we were there. The food was wonderful. We still had to look at the other 2 communities but mom decided she didn't want to look at the other 2. She was really impressed with Normandy Park Senior Living. Mom has been there for 6 weeks now and she is very happy with the decision she made. We really didn't expect to get everything done so fast but everyone was so compassionate about our mom's situation and walked us through the whole process. We don't have to worry as much about our mom. We know she is in a safe environment and she loves it. We want to send them a Thank you so much for everything they did for us. Fountain court has had a lot of ups and downs. We've had difficulty with staff and the food has gone downhill. [name removed] who manages it is a dream and I know she's trying.

Since nothing is perfect, I'd go with a 4 on everything. In general San Marino has a comfortable and clean assisted living facility with friendly and helpful staff. Food was good and they had a good selection. We did not have any interaction with the independent living and memory care sections, but what we saw of them was positive. As with anything, it is important for family members to be advocates for their family members, especially if there are memory and health issues involved that affect how well the resident can advocate for him or herself. Compared with other facilities we visited, San Marino was much better in every category.

The building and grounds are kept up nicely. Most staff have been friendly and helpful. Especially [name removed], who I was extremely grateful for, not only for the genuine caring assistance she provided to my mom, and keeping me updated about my moms health and abilities but her compassion and thoughtfulness were truly appreciated in the last couple weeks of my mom's stay there, when things were emotionally hard.

The staff is soooo amazing! So friendly and fun! We love them. They seem really busy all the time so sometimes a few things slip here and there but they have high volume days so I am sure that's to be expected.

San Marino is a beautiful facility. Cleaned and spacious. [name removed] room is great, lot's of room to have her favorite things with her A bit more expensive than we would like, and some add ons: like having to give her the meds, aides for safe showering. She's not fond of all of the food, but that is not unusual for her. Had some trouble getting her meds straight for a while, they couldn't seem to get their act together. We will probably have to move her to somewhere that accepts Medicaid, as her money will not last for very long. I do wish that I'd known that ahead of time.

General comments: staff is personable and usually does a well either the clients. Personal staff communicates well. Some Office staff very hard to get ahold of if you need something or have a question. You usually need to just hunt them down. Activities are good, wish they were more often. Site and rooms always clean. Price is standard for this type of care.

Our family member has adjusted well to moving from the home she lived in for nearly 30 years with her husband of nearly 50 years until his death. Things have moved quickly and she realized she needed more assistance than we could provide. She loves the food and we’ve been pleased with the caregivers she’s been dealing with. There have been a few hiccups, but as a daughter of an 8-year resident said to me, “they aren’t perfect but they have good hearts”. The building is well maintained and while the A/c system could use an upgrade — it cools things off well but is very loud—we have no complaints about her surroundings. We are glad we were able to find San Marino for her at this point in her life.

She's in independent living so I can't attest to the care. The residents do seem truly happy. They have activities every day and unique events. It is clean and well maintained. Staff is attentive and helpful.

I have been very happy at San Marino Retirement Community since the day that I moved in. The staff is friendly, caring, and helpful. The buildings are very clean and well maintained. The outdoor property is well maintained and beautiful. The other residents are friendly and happy living here, too.

I am enjoying myself but I'm not finding enough to do.Also, walkability is low. I would recommend to others.
