I am a professional in the field and I bring families here all the time because it’s a smaller facility and they provide excellent care. When you are caring for an elderly and sometimes frail population, you have to understand that there may be incontinence issues along with other challenges of aging and there is nothing you can do about that- that’s why they are there! The staff keeps the place clean and they have a new administrator who is committed to making the community the warmest and caring place for families who desperately need an honest and caring community to care for their loved one. It hurts me to see such reviews that are unfair. Please don’t come in looking at real estate or a hotel. This is a place where residents can age in place, be who they are and live comfortable lives with professionals that are dedicated to making it a priority that our older loved ones are receiving the best care with dignity and respect. That’s what you want for your loved one.

Beautiful view and great care. New administrator is making needed changes to make this place even better. Smaller facility that provides more supervision and care then most places do. I recommend visiting and asking questions. They have the right heart for these people.

The staff at Sutton Gardens are amazing. Placing my mother into assisted living was not an easy decision t make. The staff put my mind at ease are giving my mother the best care possible. It is a small facility which is what I like since they are more attentive to my mom that has memory loss. The staff members, which are both named [Name removed], send me updates and photos of my mom when I can not visit. Thank you!

I really like this community. It’s smaller than most that I visited and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. All the residents seemed to be very happy and well cared for and that’s what’s important to us. We chose them and will be moving in our dad soon

We love Birchwood Suites!

I visited this community and it is so warm and friendly. The room was beautiful and the common areas were nicely decorated and very clean. All of the residents seemed happy and enjoying the entertainment while I was there. What a great place.

My mother was a resident until she passed away. We love the care, compassion and kindness of the Administrator, [name removed], and the staff. They went out of their way to take care of her. We are thankful for them. You will find a very special place at Birchwood Suites.

My dad is in the dementia area, and it is perfect for him. It’s a smaller community, so he gets the care that he needs. We are very happy with the staff and it is very affordable for the type of care they offer. I would highly recommend.

This is a really nice place. Unlike the large facilities that we visited, it’s a cozy and homey environment. The staff is beyond wonderful and they seem to want to do everything they can to make these people happy. They were very friendly and answered all our questions.

I am a professional in the field and recently had the opportunity to visit. The community is a renovated estate, so it sits on acres of property with a pond and trees. Such a relaxing place for residents to take in nature and enjoy their retirement years. The staff is super friendly and among the best intheirmdields aa most of them have come from larger facilities and moved here because the atmosphere is relaxed and the care is superb. There is just something about this place that I cannot put my finger on, but you feel the warmth and love the minute you step through the doors. I would highly recommend them to my clients and anyone looking for a great, friendly and caring environment for their loved one.

We chose Birchwood Suites over the other local facilities due to a number of reasons. They are smaller, so the residents get more attention. The staff know everyone’s name and they follow them throughout the day to make sure they are comfortable and kept busy. They have new administration, who are working hard to renovate the community, create new programs, and make it even better for the families and residents. They have real, full physical therapy on site. Not just a couple of machines, so the continued rehabilitation is top notch. The whole place is very homey with a relaxed atmosphere, and the staff have been there for many years, which is very telling in a field where there is so much turnover. We are happy with our decision and recommend to all our family and friends.

I am so relieved to have found this community. I looked for months for the best place for my dad who suffers from some memory loss. I like that it is warm and homey. You can just feel the warmth and love when you arrive. The staff there truly care about my dad and I don’t feel like he’s just another number. He gets good supervision and they get him out doing things and going on trips, which he wasn’t doing at home. He loves the food and has put on a few needed pounds as he was not preparing meals and eating like he should. They make sure he gets his mediciane which is another reason why he could not stay in his home anymore. It’s consistent and now his whole demeanor and personality is back to who he was. I felt he would get at the other places I visited and because this is smaller, he feels more secure. The staff is amazing and keep in touch with us regularly and are always there to help us or lend a listening ear. They are truly amazing and I cannot thank them enough for what they do everyday for my dad.

We are so happy to have found this place! It is not one that advertises like the big chains do, as they seem to prefer to be exclusive to word of mouth so they don’t become like a warehouse. I was recommended by an attorney. After visiting numerous facilities, we settled on this one for a number of reasons. First, the grounds and building itself is breathtaking. My mother had her own hone with spacious property, and I could not see putting her in a place where she couldn’t continue to enjoy the trees and nature. They have a pond and walking paths that she enjoys. Second, the staff is amazing and go above and beyond to make sure the residents are happy and feel safe. Because it’s a smaller home like community, she gets a lot of attention. The new administrator is making a lot of positive, needed changes. Third, they are affordable and reasonable with their pricing. They don’t nickel and dime you for the care as it’s all included. I recommend anyone looking for an affordable, clean and caring home to give them a visit. I guarantee you won’t be disappointed.

I recently went on a tour, and this is a beautiful place. It has a certain charm that I didn’t get from other facilities I visited, and I was told it’s a former estate. It’s less like a hotel and more like a charming country inn. The grounds are breathtaking with a large pond and foot bridges, and the warmth when you enter is amazing. I was greeted by the receptionist, who couldn’t do enough to make me feel welcome. The staff was very friendly and the residents seemed so happy and well-cared for. I was told that they are doing renovations to make it even better. The recreation director had great activities in the calendar! This is definitely one of my top choices.

I work in the healthcare field and had the opportunity to visit recently. I’ve been here in the past, and I must say that the changes the new owner and administrator are making are wonderful to see. The whole place is brighter and the staff seem so much happier. What a wonderful, warm and inviting place for seniors to live and enjoy all the comforts of home, with staff right there to assist them. Residents were happy and the staff were so friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a quality and caring environment. I recently visited and was very impressed. It's a beautiful estate with a warm, home-like community and the staff are very friendly. The grounds are gorgeous. Everyone greeted us and the residents looked happy and well cared for. This is not a large type of facility like we visited previously where we felt our loved one would get lost in the shuffle. We were looking for a smaller place where she would get the closer care and supervision that she needs. Plus they include all the medication assistance and care, so there is no extra charge. Coming from her own home, we felt like this would be more comfortable for her. I think we found the perfect place!

Amazing renovations and really great care! The Administrator and Wellness Director are wonderful and really go above and beyond to make sure my mom is cared for at all times. I really appreciate the family environment and the compassion. Great place!

The care for my dad is wonderful. Staff are caring and many improvements have been made lately. This is an amazingly homey feel that has a great atmosphere. The Management staff are amazing and care deeply for the residents. Great place for seniors.

The new management team provides amazing leadership. The care and building have improved to a higher standard. I am very pleased with the new renovations and the customer service. The extended hours for the receptionist is a wonderful added personal touch. The new Administrator has improved the care for the residents. This is a great community for people needing assistance.

I have to start by saying Sutton gardens is truly a small unique facility from my first impression I did not care about the looks but the administrator is what sold the place for me to bring my aunt there. On a desperate Thursday afternoon I was able to speak to the administrator to get my aunt out of the Er all weekend until her move on Monday. I was very nerves but I know I made the right choice. The aides are very nice and social and I am happy [name removed] and I crossed paths because it’s not a company based facility she still texts me pictures and texts me to say everything is going well
