I have been here for over 4yrs. I couldn't have made a better choice to come live here. Even though its "assisted living" I am still very much independent. When I do need help the staff is always ready. They are all so nice and compassionate. I enjoy all the games and activities they have to offer. Some of my favorite things to do are play WII bowling and spending time outside reading on the patio.

Some of my favorite things to do are bingo, morning exercises. Their entertainment is amazing. One day we can have an singer and or we can have a musician. I really enjoy all their parties and happy hour. We get to dance enjoy a drink and some snacks!

Very nice tour experience with Arbors at Westbury. While we were there there were a lot of residents out and about and activity going on -lively community. We just found it not to be the right fit for what my mother needed.

The Arbors at Islandia was a wonderful facility- I really have nothing negative at all to say about the tour. The only reason we decided against this facility was because of the location. If my mom needed memory care in the future, we would for sure move her here.

The quality of the care could be better at times but we do understand the staffing is short - they are all still very friendly. We really like this location and the price is very reasonable for our family compared to other communities we had checked out. The staff that do work there are very friendly and very helpful.

Everyone is EXTREMELY helpful, no one is ever too busy not to talk to me or my family. Everyone has a smile on their face and in great moods all the time. Unfortunately my sister needed a higher level of care. I'm hoping once she gets better she will definitely consider returning back to the Arbors. [name removed]has been outstanding with being helpful and caring. She takes great pride in making sure the residents are doing well whether they are inside or outside the community. [name removed] shows compassion with making sure the residents are getting the best care. She's on top on her game in wellness. She is the best. I would recommended any loved one or friends to the Arbors at Westbury!

They have plenty of activities provided for the residents who live there, there is always something to do. I would definitely recommend The Arbors at Westbury to others.

The interaction with the staff has been fantastic. My loved one says the food is good. The value for the money is excellent. The overall management is fantastic, and they made my loved one comfortable. [name removed]was wonderful and a saint, and knew exactly what the family needed.

We chose The Arbors because when I went to visit I was very happy with both the people who worked there and the happiness of the residents living there. I also liked the all inclusive fee, it is much easier to plan and budget and not have to worry about extra add on fees. The case worker has been really helpful and accommodating trying to strike the right balance between what the residents want and what is best. It is also very conveniently located as well which is a plus. All in all there are just a lot of good things to say about The Arbors. It is a hard decision to make and a hard thing to do, but they are doing a great job and I would absolutely recommend this facility to others.

I have met a lot of nice people including the workers. Although I miss my husband who is no longer here, I do have a lot of great friends and family who come and visit me everyday. I play Rumi here and every Tuesday I go out to dinner with my friends and play also.

I would recommend anyone to visit the arbors, you will fall in love. Awesome staff and other residents who live here. I enjoy living here. The food is amazing, and the chef and his crews always make meals great.

My name is [name removed]. I have been leaving at the arbors for almost 2 years and although I rather be home because there is no place like home. I enjoy living at the arbors. I’ve made many friends. Having my cat with me makes me happy. The staff is wonderful. I enjoy playing rummikub 7 nights a week and if there was 8 days I would play it. I also play bingo every night as well. I excercise every morning with recreation team. I enjoy the trips, and games we play. Housekeeping keep my room very clean. Wellness is so kind and helpful. I love living at the arbors and I wouldn’t move if I had to ever. Being around outgoing friendly staff and residents really make my day.

Our family had an in person tour and the lady who took us around and showed us the facility was excellent. We have nothing bad to say about The Arbors, they were very friendly to all of the potential clients, it would of been our first choice but just do to our loved ones health they were not able to accept her.

I LOVE Arbors at Hauppauge. They are welcoming to all races and nationalities. My mother is from Jamaica, West Indies and she feels so comfortable there. She moved in [date removed]. She loves it there - my mind is at ease. I know she is eating, she is not lonely and she participates in the daily activities. I can't say enough about [name removed], the Entertainment Coordinator - she is always planning fun events for the residents- ex. Hawaiian Luau, a Carnival, Mother's Day Tea, etc., etc.. I love [name removed] who works there - he runs the games like BINGO, Jeopardy. He is so patient and cordial with the residents- they adore him. I love the Members of the Wellness Team- I know my mother is in good hands with them to receive her medication properly. My [age removed] year old mom worked very hard as a registered nurse in extremely busy hospitals in Brooklyn NY. She rarely took time for herself or went on vacations. The staff here is wonderful very accommodating and overall just wonderful.

We had an amazing experience at The Arbors at Westbury. The facility is smaller and easy to navigate. The staff here were all fabulous and easy to work with. There was plenty of room for family members to come visit. The only reason we had to move was because they were not licensed for memory care and that is what our loved one needed. It was a great experience.

If you want a friendly and caring environment for your loved one, this is the place to go to. I would recommend the community to others for their loved ones. The staff are responsive to questions or concerns from the family about our loved one. The community has quite a few activities for the residents to participate in.

This was a very good experience certainly if you don't know what you are doing. They were able to walk us through everything. The staff are personable and helpful to us during the tour experience up until moving my loved one in. I ended up circling back after touring other communities as this was a good experience. There are different people you will work with during the process, such as wellness, to marketing director, and more. The wellness staff are wonderful to deal with. They assist my loved one with the care they receive such as bathing and dressing assistance. The staff make the family have a peace of mind knowing they are taking care of our loved one.

The friendliness of the staff is great and the price being inclusive is very helpful. The wellness staff work really well with my loved one and our family and this is great for us and a big part of the community. They have activities at this community like happy hour, movies, national events, volleyball with a large ball, trips out on the community, a pool table and more for the residents to do to stay busy in the community. They also have a walk group and more.

The tour was good and the community was good in its own way. We found a community that was all inclusive and this was something that we were looking for with our loved one. My loved one needed medication assistance and more and having somewhere that did not charge extra for this was a benefit. This community was just not a good fit for my loved one.
