We did not have a positive experience here. The decor is beautiful, but the staffing is totally inadequate. We felt that the both the quantity and the quality of the staff was below any acceptable standard. When we raised concerns with management, we were patronized and ignored. And we were concerned about things like urine soaked sheets, lack of supervision, horrible food, etc.

Continuously understaffed leading to poor quality of care for the residents. Management is slow to respond to family concerns and lacks a genuine concern for their residents. There are far better alternatives for memory care facilities in the area. Don't waste your time touring, just cross Autumn Leaves of Glen Ellyn off your list right now.

The personnel at Vinyard Place were very unorganized, rude, and very unprofessional. Nobody there seem to know what they were doing when my 97-year-old dad and I came looking for a place for my mother. I told them exactly how my mother was; she has moderate stages of Alzheimer's disease, she just broke her femur and is bedridden, and at the time she was on oxygen from being bedridden after she broke her leg. They told me none of this was a problem. They said they had to interview my mom before they could give us a price, so they could find out what her needs were, but they couldn't get out to the nursing home facility she was in in a timely manner, and I just felt my poor dad and I got the runaround. The other facilities I had visited gave me no such hassle and were willing to go out the very same day or the next day to interview my mom. After Vinyard Place told me they would except her the way she is, and they could give us a price after they interviewed her and see what her needs were, they wound up turning her down saying they could not take a bed ridden person! We wound up putting her in Vineyard Ranch who is not affiliated with Vineyard Place. Also, Atria Park of Vintage Hills excepted her, and they were very professional, but we did not choose them, because they did not have a one person room available. Needless to say we pay $7100 a month, and all I can say is it's their loss!

Would not recommend this place to anyone! Patient care is not a top priority. It is kept clean, but having clean floors does not matter when the staff neglect your loved ones. The receptionist (Becky) is very rude and does not make you feel welcome. I have personally heard the way some staff speak to the residents and it was disgusting. There are many other choices, do not settle for this place.
