Anthem Memory Care

It's the best I found in the area, and I was also looking for others but it a nice place. The cost is crazy.

So far so good! Still getting used to it. Everyone is helpful and pleasant, and my Mother seems to be doing OK. She very much loves the courtyard, but weather now is not good. Hopefully she can be contented till spring. It’s so sad to see her slowly forgetting more, so for us children we are happy that she can be safe. Thanks!!

The biggest problem that we have had with Vineyard Place has been communication. Especially concerning my loved one's medical care, haircuts etc. I think there should be at least a monthly phone call explaining how he is doing and where we are at with his medical care from one of the more senior staff. You kind of need an adversary to make sure that things happen. Otherwise, everyone is very nice and there seems to be a lot of staff around to help. The food, I haven't tasted. My sister had one meal there and was disappointed. The housekeeping seems okay, but his clothes supply seems down. The move in process was fine. They actually had some furniture for us to use and recently installed a TV that we bought. They have a lot of activities that keep our loved one active all day and he thinks that he's at a resort. Overall, for the price and his adjustment, we are happy and would recommend Vineyard Place to others.

My loved one is currently a resident at Chisholm Place and overall, the experience has been good. The food and activities are great. The care services and staff are good. I would recommend Chisholm Place to others. However, I would advise families to get as involved as much as possible with the staff in their loved one's care.

My mom has been at Liberty Place for a year. We are so appreciative of the great care she continues to receive. The nurses and caregivers are wonderful and the residents are treated with kindness and respect for their individuality. Even the management team stops to talk with her and knows her by name. The open layout of each “neighborhood” helps residents feel more like home… no hallways. The screened porch and courtyard are beautiful and caregivers ensure residents enjoy the outdoors routinely.

My family and loved one have had a good experience with the community. The staff are kind, knowledgeable, and caring towards the residents and their families. Everyone is friendly. There are activities available for the residents to participate in and to assist with getting to know other residents in the community. Overall, we would recommend the community to others for their loved ones.

We cannot comment on the meals because we have not seen the prepared meals yet. What we like most about the community is the services versus the costs. We would recommend Chelsea Place Memory Care to other families looking for a community for their loved ones.

Porter Place has been a blessing for my husband and myself. Three years ago I made the hard decision to bring my husband to memory care. The nursing assistants are kind and take good care of my husband. The nursing staff is always on top of his health, and the director listens to your concerns and acts on then quickly. I would recommend Porter Place to my friends.

Porter Place was my third choice. -Enclosed courtyard, Free Wi Fi, Free Cable -Laundry and Linen Service -Will hang your TV for you. -Personalized activities -Nice rooms etc. -Residents are encouraged to leave their rooms -Staff locks their rooms upon leaving- ask to go back -Fall detection -Cameras -Dedicated Memory care facility - 2 person assist

My mom has been here for a year and my experience at willow springs has been good nothing to complain about. The staff are great the food is good. I have nothing to complain about. They have the best cookies and treats. The activities and party’s are always the highlight.

I liked the community; however, they weren't able to provide care or accept my loved one.

Of course there’s a few things to crab about but having worked in this field I know most places have far worse issues. The negative; revolving door with management, past billing has been a mess, and her towels get lost. My mom complains about the food, but aren’t most seniors overly fixated on food? And extra picky? We bring her a hot meal weekly, goodies & take her out to lunch sometimes. However, when it comes to her safety & care, I have NO complaints! I have faith in new Environmental Services Director ([name removed]) Is on the Ball! Along with new Director ([name removed]). Nursing staff is really stepping up on communication lately as well! I’m confident she’s placed in the best facility around and safer than being at home.

I chose Emerald Place because the staff that I met with seemed professional and friendly. It is also in a very familiar location to us, it is close to a house that we lived in and I hoped that would help her memory. I would tell others to be understanding about what the staff actually has to go through - it is a very tough job. They do their best.

The home is clean and the rooms are spacious. Upon placing a loved one, request a sit-sown meeting with administration to share specifics about your loved one. Be aware that currently you can only visit in your lives one's room or in the common area in the lobby. This is different than majority of other homes in DuPage County. The nurses are available 24/7 to check on your loved one. Some of the aids seem inexperienced to assist with advanced memory care. At end of life, the administration and staff were very helpful and caring.

We picked thiscommunity because, they were a alzheimers building. The community can improve by, offering a training on recognizing symptoms of terminal agitation. Maybe on intake day when the family is there to meet with their loved one let them settle in instead of rushing them to the community room.

I chose Porter Place Memory Care because I liked being able to see how everyone was treated during my walk through. I like that it was not separated by different floors and things like that so I could see where he was going to be. Every one of the staff has been extremely helpful. My only complaint is that he was not eating or drinking and I was not notified about it quickly enough. Otherwise they called quite a bit with other updates and were good with communication. Overall I would recommend Porter Place for those looking for memory care.

The staff are great and very dedicated. For memory care, the facility is pretty much a perfect layout. It's not overly large, and you can't get lost.

There is a little problem with the medical side of things, but they are doing the best they can for our loved one and has brought in hospice to help out as well. He loves sitting outside and the staff do a really great job getting the residents up out of their rooms and interacting with one another - they play different board games and play different movies. He seems to be enjoying the meals and dining service and based on our experience so far we would absolutely recommend the Charter Senior Living community to other families.

We toured with Harvester Place and had a great experience. The tour was thorough and the staff did a great job with following up with us after the fact. We just found another facility to be better laid out for our loved ones needs.

I'm extremely disappointed that the community doesn't have land lines or cable television. The residents don't know how to use a streaming service and we have no way to communicate with our loved one. Some of the activities the community offers include singing, exercises, bingo, outdoor patio, and more for the residents to engage with. The staff communication with the family could be improved as there isn't enough proactive communication coming from the community to the family.
