We will keep them in our back pocket. If there is a time where mom should progress so that she cannot stay where she is I think Cypress would be the next stop. It's brand new and I think it had maybe 20 residents. They're aiming for something like 60 I think. It's brand new and everything is sparkly!

We are so happy with this facility. It's specialized (memory care), which can be a challenge, but they really are on top of things and run things very well! I can't say enough good things. I haven't had a single negative experience here. The care has been amazing. The cost is high, but the care is unbeatable. And it's a flat monthly fee, no extra charges. They do a deep clean of the rooms weekly and tidy up daily. It's always clean. The food is good, they take requests and accommodate them. They serve lots of fruits and vegetables. Everyone eats together in the dining room. They also provide/deliver 2 snacks a day. Everyone here is on a first name basis. The residents, the staff, even the visitors. My husband even said to me "Everybody seems to know me and know who I am here." It's just wonderful. The staff is so loving and caring. They have RNs on every shift. One thing that is very important to me is safety and they are absolutely on top of that here. If my husband gets up to use the restroom in the middle of the night, the nurses hear him and go check on him to make sure he's ok and ask if he needs anything. They always know where he is, also. If I go to visit and he's not in his room, the nurses are always able to tell me where he is (physical therapy, ect). Maintenance even pops in and asks if we need anything done. Communication with the family is excellent! The activities director is wonderful and tries very hard. They go room to room and encourage the residents to participate in the activities and offer to help them walk to the activity (games, painting, etc). They have a barbershop/beautyshop and in house Physical Therapy. They do offer cameras for the rooms to help monitor, but we decided we didn't need that. They're so on top of things even without one! They are in the middle of doing major upgrades (carpet, flooring, light fixtures, furniture, nurses stations) and dealing with supply and demand issues. That said, they still keep things as clean as they absolutely can and it's going to be beautiful when they're done. I would absolutely recommend them to friends and family!

It is a very friendly and welcoming facility. The patients are well cared for and very pleased with the nursing staff and therapy group.

Charter Senior Living is very organized and pretty clean. When you walk in there's no smell and nothing in the way. The meals are good, I've been there for supper and it looks tasty. If a person can't swallow very well or has other restrictions, they have different diets for different people. They'll make the food for that and if you think it needs to be changed, you can speak to the head nurse and they'll do that. There are people like CNA's who will sit with your loved one, if they have no one to sit with. If you want to bring food up and have time with your loved one, there's always at least one private room available. Their chart for activities is very good. They keep them busy all day with music, crafts, and TV. They do light exercise to get them up and moving. The bathrooms are easily accessible from the activity room, with about four different activity rooms including an art room. I'd recommend that you go see and investigate it for yourself. You don't have to bring sheets or pillowcases because they have a lot of that stuff available. Some of the towels have been mixed up because they keep them in the shower room with other peoples things. It's a pretty big place, so I know they can't run from room to room to grab things. They have different themes and names for the halls. For example: the Chicago hall, the music hall, etc.. They each have corresponding decorations, so it's kind of hard to get lost with that setup. You can always call for help and there is someone there. There are pulley-chains in the bathroom for help too. If you're in a main bedroom and cant get out of bed, you'll have to yell for help because they don't have any of the residents wearing a pendant right now. In the state of Illinois you can't put bars on the bed, unless you've just had surgery or you're in a hospital-like setting. So Charter doesn't have that for help with getting out of the bed, but no other senior living community in Illinois does either. They have a security system in place when you come into the building. If you want to visit, they have to make sure you're healthy. They have a good system when checking in to make sure you don't have an illness. You have to sanitize and there's a gadget that takes your temperature. They also give you a questionnaire regarding your current state of being or recent symptoms before you can go in. Residents are allowed to have several visitors at once, but it might change dependent upon Covid rates. It's a good place, and it's very reasonable budget-wise. Moving your loved one here will help you feel relaxed. You'll know your loved one is being taken care of pretty well, and you will feel confident in your decision to leave them here.

This place is really a good place, every place has some thing that need to be worked on. The staffing and everyone there is very good with all residents, very nice and kind. Learn the residents name and take personal care. Believe could use some improvements on Food and activities, possibly setup monitor to assist with residents whom roam and help guide them to correct areas.

The community is willing to work with you, The communication between the family and staff is very good. I would recommend this community to others

This community did a great job with the Covid pandemic. The director has turned this facility around. The director has improved communication with the residents' families.

My mother has been living at Harvester Place for the past two years. I am very pleased with the service provided by [name removed] and her staff.

I moved Mom to Harvester Place on [date removed], from another facility in the northern suburbs. I liked the spaciousness of the layout at Harvester - especially the living room/dining room area, which is filled with natural light during the daytime, thanks to the wonderful skylights. Move-in day was a breeze, thanks to the many staff members at Harvester who helped get Mom's things set up. A few glitches in the following months gave me cause for concern, but they were quickly straightened out by the director, [name removed]. Seven months on, I am so glad I chose Harvester for Mom. They kept in touch with me all through my Mom's battle with Covid, letting me talk to her on the phone whenever I asked, and so on. I am no convinced that Mom is getting the highest possible level of care at Harvester Place. More than that - she's getting love.

I would recommend Charter Senior Living in Glen Ellyn because I have seen this place go from Autumn Leaves which was poorly run to a better run memory care facility named Charter Senior Living. The director ([name removed]) has been very responsive to all my requests. I feel that this community is way better run than Autumn Leaves use to be. I had no communication with the director at Autumn Leaves and was very hard to communicate with AL director. At Charter, the caregivers, nurses, chefs and activity personal are the best I have seen in years. The activities are very helpful for my mom. The birthday parties for each resident are great.

We were at a previous home that [name removed] was director at and were pleased with my dad being there and were there for months and when she left we were so upset and didn't have the same response with the new staff that took over. We have since found where she is at and my dad is flourishing with his care there and the staff that is familiar with him, since she's taken over at Charter Senior living we have seen only positive changes in him with his memory and the care herself and current staff give. I would definitely recommend 110% Charter Seniors Living of Glen Ellyn and [name removed] to anyone that asks. We are above and beyond pleased with his current place he calls home.

I called Charter Senior Living of Glen Ellyn, looking for a facility for my father. Unfortunately this wasn’t the right fit for my dad. [Name removed] was the most compassionate person I’ve come in contact on this difficult journey. She was so very helpful, and understanding in my struggles to find a facility for my dad. Charter Senior Living is lucky to have her representing this organization!

They were very caring and equipped to take care of individuals with Alzheimer's and Dementia. I felt like I was being taken care of too because they were very communicative and thoughtful. If I had to do it all over again I would definitely choose them again and would recommend them to my friends and family.

We moved my Dad to Porter Place in [date removed]. Some of the information we were given prior to his placement, is less than accurate. Not bad, but not quite what we were told or what we anticipated. Showering/shaving is supposed to be twice a week, and we've experienced Numerous times that Dad was in need of shaving. His bathroom does not appear to be cleaned as often as we think it should. On the good side, the food is good, staff is friendly & they encourage the residents to participate in the different activities each day. Overall, we think we made a good choice.

An excellent facility. Unlike many of the mega-facilities, Emerald is mid-sized. The staff knows all the residents by name, along with their likes, dislikes and needs. The facility is relatively new, scrupulously clean, with a very good and varied menu. They also have a wide range of activities for the residents. Today, for instance, Emerald had a pianist and a very active vocalist engaging the residents in a song-fest in honor of Veterans/Armistace Day. Medical care is very good, and they specialise in memory care. Emerald also has a small spa, along with a full service salon for grooming needs. After vetting several alternative locations for my wife, I found Emerald to be the best option.

Beautiful facility, great food! The care givers are caring and gentle with my Mom. The administrators are available and very responsive with any concerns. Very happy that we moved my Mom here.

Porter Place in Tinley Park, Il is an excellent, above normal clean, facility. The entire staff is extremely attentive to every aspect of my father's needs. [Removed] took special roles to help situate my father on a very short notice. We are very pleased with their services, and highly recommend this facility to anyone who has a family member or friends that need special memory , dementia or alzheimers disease. We have had my father at several other facilities prior to Porter Place, and nothing else compares or measures up to Porter. Every meal is prepared by the chef on the premises. They staff also interacts with every patient, and we have seen a lot of smiling faces when we visit him. We highly recommend Porter Place. Their pricing is very competitive and you can believe that your loved one will be securely taken care of at Porter Place.

My father lives at Clarity Pointe Fayetteville, AR. This is the second assisted living facility he has lived in and being someone with dementia this is by far the best place for him. The facility is very secure, which was a major criteria for us. And with a beautiful, completely secure patio in the center of the facility, there is always an outdoor option for a loved one, even when they are no longer able to leave the facility. The staff at Clarity Pointe are very helpful, professional and approachable. Management is very hands on and always greets me by name when I visit. I highly recommend this facility for anyone with dementia that requires a facility. Thank you, [Removed]

My husband is doing so much better since he moved into this memory care community. There is a lot of staff and they have gotten to know him by name. They offer a lot of activities and he has started to participate in some. The community is clean and housekeeping even goes from room to room to make sure everything is done. The food is wonderful. This community is more reasonably priced than the community he was at previously. They make sure he had all the supplies he needs.

My dad is doing fine with the care at the community. They have the right level of professionalism and it is a clean environment. He has had a smoother transition so far.
