American House

The staff was very helpful and made our decision about moving in very easy. They were also super helpful during the entire move-in process. We are pleased. The only drawback was that there are only two meals a day with the large meal being lunch. But now that my mom has moved in, we find that even this is acceptable. She is very happy.

The people that are there are great, but I do think the meals that are prepared re not as good as they can be and how they were when we first started. But thus limited based on feedback of the residents.....so it could be based on his mood.

I had my grandmother at this facility. I would not have chosen anywhere else to place her for the last month of her life. The nurses, Managers, and care staff ensured she was well taken care of. I am grateful for the time they spent and loved her during her time there.

My dad is extremely happy with American House! We could not be happier with the facility and staff! In fact, [name removed] pointed out to us last week that my dad not only seems happier, he looks healthier than when he arrived.

Our family had an in person tour experience with American house and it was great especially with [name removed]. She stayed in contact with me. Our choice was difficult but we chose the place closer to our home. [name removed] was great and showed me all areas of the facility

The way everyone treated us. They came across as caring and dedicated to their residents. They even make the families feel special. Now that we've been with them for a few weeks we also have a partnership in caring for my mom. It's not been perfect but we've worked thru any issues we've had on both sides.

My dad likes to play cards, and has yet to find a group for that. But everything else is top notch, and beats all other facilities I've looked at.Positively wonderful. I highly recommend. I picked this community for several reasons; location, only place with private washer/dryer. Most other places had shared laundry facilities. And the meal options were most extensive. Choose meals from a menu, and it's served to you like in a restaurant. And the quality is top notch. You can choose steak, fish, chicken or pasta any day of the week, and you can order breakfast any time of the day. You can even have your meals delivered. No other facility gives so many options.

The girls caring for mom speak Spanish and are very compassionate, loving, and go out of their way to tend to needs such as manicures, haircare, pedicures...things you wouldn't think of. Sometimes they bring her Starbucks in the morning...the entire staff is top notch...we're very appreciative.

I would say I am very happy with all the services at American House, especially the Medical Team. They have also done a great job of keeping me informed about any concerns. It is not listed as Assisted Living, but it does provide these services.

The front desk and CNA's in Memory Care are friendly and caring. The CNA's are good communicators with the residents as well as the families. ED, nursing and CNA staff are all good communicators so far. There are new directors of Nursing and Memory Care, so not a long history yet but they seem nice and competent. The housekeeping is generally good. They could pay more attention to the supplies that they provide like filling soap dispensers and trash can liners, but those are minor issues. The move in was pretty easy. It's a good long push from the garage to the elevator. Their team helped hang pictures and a wall mounted TV. The meals are good. Fresh Ingredients and made in the kitchen. Service is good, with nice table settings, cloth napkins and lots of beverages offered to residents. It's a beautiful property, but what really matters is the care and food. So far, they have not disappointed I would recommend American House Oak Park to others.

We picked this community, because of the area, and price. Happen to have everything just fall into place.[names removed]made everything so much more relaxing. I knew as soon as I spoke with each of them I was in good hands. Very grateful to both of them.

The location and great care provided at American House East II Senior Living stood out among other communities.

What our family likes the most about the American House Charlevoix Senior Living community are the staff members and the activities. The different activities they have going on for the residents include a few things like Bingo, Ice cream socials, Happy hours, and Guest presenters/musician

I would say that my experience was and still is excellent and to trust your instincts. On my first tour I had a resident walk up to me and said "I just love it here" I picked this community because of the activities, the caring staff, pool, individual freedom, off site trips to restaurants, grocery shopping, cleanliness, restaurant style dining, size of the living space.

My loved one is currently a resident at American House Holland and we've been very pleased with every aspect of this facility. The staff are always friendly and treat our loved one with such respect. I have witnessed such kindness toward other residents and I know their job is not easy! My loved one's room is always clean. We are totally pleased with everything. I would highly recommend American House Holland to others.

It had everything she needs. It is fabulous and the care is awesome. She is very happy and doing so well.This is the place! It is like a resort. Food is great. You receive a menu and servers take your order. Staff is wonderful. Activities are many and great entertainment. She has a separate bedroom and kitchen which is wonderful. Housekeeping is great.

I would say that they cost a fortune and don't communicate in a timely fashion if at all and don't seem to be able to deal with the complexities of a resident with dementia. We picked this community, because it was close to us, let her have her cat and it seemed like a place she would choose.

We have had no complaints at all. The Palms of Fort Myers community is quite, clean and has everything I need hood food good accommodations nice staff very fine place !! About to see how we come out in the next hurricane
