When I first moved in I was very excited to live here,the people were very nice,as time when it some people wouldnt talk to other people,had a flowed after living here for a year,the weather wasnt that bad,we had to find a place to stay,gave a bill to the manager,none of it was reinmursed,found out some people that stayed at a hotel,thye paid for their place adn paid for their meals,it was very late and some people were put in a dump hotel,then moved to another aldens.When I renewed my lease the lease went up,i was told by the manager because taxes went up adn water wetn up,i fell if it is a one bedroom it should have been raised to high,i could see a 2 bedroom ,because ther e are 2 people in that apartment.Covid is bad this year,i feel for the people at this place,they are stuck in their apartment or go to see family.The price here is ok.The formeer people they had to clean the snow are alot better than the ones thye have know.

I have been an resident at new lenox horizon for over 4 years.It is avery nice place,but with covid going on the only open is thework-out area.The place goes on your income.The rent went up because of differnt things.When you move out they dedduct the carpetbeing cleaned. It is avery nice place,but dont understand someof the things they do.

Nice building. The screen porches and the waterfall and swans are lovely. Food is better than average. Would like to see more activities off site.

I met with Ruth Lange and had a lovely discussion of the senior living opportunities offered in the 33 duplex brick housing units. I was interested to hear the benefits of choosing a buy-in arrangement with a return on the investment at vacating and the services provided with that along with a monthly cost. The single available unit was was pretty spacious, including a full range of apian Kitchen appliances and attractive, however, I was A bit put off by all the extra costs from utilities to dining costs in the main building to $5 to $10 transportation to appointments. I came away thinking that I currently have the same or better situation where I currently reside (own my home in a 55+ services provided community with some activities but no meals or continuity of care.

I would like to see more interaction from the care givers I sometimes think that it is just a job I think if maybe the would play music and not just have the TV on all the time

We have used Alden of Naperville, for rehab recently. The wound care people were terrific, otherwise, and in general, it was okay. There was only a nurse onsite a couple of hours a day, so if a bandage came off in the middle of the night there was a scramble for what to do.

May consider this one, but it would mean changing doctors and things

Wasn't impressed by them. Sunrise was nicer. They concerned me because it was so close to Lake Street which is the main thoroughfare. It didn't have the elegance that Sunrise had. But it was good, it was nice, it just felt like a couple steps up from a nursing home, for an assisted living community.

A little outdated. It didn't feel like they kept up their property.

Nice - Have 2 bed villas and 4 levels of living

That was clean - actually a lot cleaner than where my husband is now but they didn't take care of him. They just left him in his room. I visited every day and every week I would be the one to shower him and change him. One week I did that on Sunday and then I told myself I wasn't going to do it for the next week. I went on Monday and he had the same clothes on. On Tuesday he had the same clothes on. On Wednesday he had the same clothes on and on Thursday I finally said something. These are the same clothes that I put him in on Sunday! Nobody would change him. I was just hoping they would step up to the plate and they never did.

My friend has lived at NLH for 6 years alot has gone gon in the six years,the person carpet was looed at,was told by the manager the new manager asked her to mark down what was she saw when she saw her frinds apt.and this was marked down,my friens will believe that when she sees the carpet will be replced..The place is more like assissed living,care-takers are coming in to take care of residents,walkers, and there werent any when my freind moved in,i realized rent goes up,the place isnt clened,the manger had the clean the windows,and dust things herself,the parking my friend told me is cracking,aldens would rather spend moneyon the dirt that goes around the flowers,the lot doesnt face cedR RD.THE ONLY PEOLE that see the flowers aee people that come inside of 1101 cedar rd. this is ridicilous,put the money where it should be put. The only activites for the residents are bingo,and games.That is so sad for the residents, Please do something for the residents at N.L.H. Some people do work.

I dont undertstand when N.L.H. lets a person with a cat move in they should be very strict when they do their laundry,because,there are residents that dont like to see cat hair inside the washing machine or make sure the inside of the lint trap is clean,it is very disgusting,or when a person moves out,replace the carpet where a cat lived, they do leave smells on the carpet even if a carpet cleaning person comes in, and move the refrigerator, cat hair can get caught in the back. after residents have lived in their apartment for 5 or more years offer them a 1/2 of clenaning of their apartment.Don't deduct the cleaning and painting of the apartment when they move out, most landlords don't do that, they usually give the former tenant their money back.Alden is all about the money.They have raised the rent up to much. This place is on how much a person makes.There isnt anyhring close for people to go to.There are some people here that dont drive,there is a car that we have to pay for services.

Someone at this place reported something,and they reported about a matter,went to see that person and that person doesnt feel comfortable living at this place.Thematter can be taken care of in a better manner.The person went to someone else about it, and that person shouldnt get other people involved in the matter.The person that someone was talking about,isnt very happy about the situation.This is not very professional..Thematter can be taken care,but the person saying something to the other person should just take care of it and stop bothering the person about the matter.Why should a person get upset about what is said to her??This matter is been blown away.Something should be done about how a person talks to people .

This place felt more like a 55 plus community. The roads are poorly maintained. There is a lot of construction. The villas are noisy. There is no sense of community. The villas are contemporary and they have a lot of space.

The facility is way too expensive, and they were short staffed. There was no thought given to roommates. The food was adequate and was ok. We had to shares rooms and for two people it was not big enough. I would not recommend this facility

We toured this community. We did not like the community due to they asked for a deposit. We did not move in and they will not give us our money back. We liked the community, but can not recommend families to this community due to them not willing to work with families if they do not move in. Families might want to ask questions before making the decision to move into this community.

My loved one was previously a resident at Alden of Huntley and the experience was horrible.

I wish I could give this place a zero rating. My family member was at Alden Huntley for 2 days when he fell out of the medical hoist lift. That was ER visit #1. Second ER visit was due to a careless CNA who was rushing my family member to get into bed when they fell out of their wheelchair and face planted it!! Hospital has all the information in their report. Hopefully this uncaring site will be closed down. People who work here are only there for a paycheck.
