I had a pretty pleasant tour of this community. Everything went well. The community looked nice and well-kept. Everything I saw looked nice and clean. They have nice activities offered for the residents. The staff was very welcoming and kind. It was nice tour, and this is a good community with kind people.

If you need care for a family member with dementia, Alden Courts of Waterford is one of the better choices in the Fox Valley. The atmosphere is more like that of a motel than of a hospital. The whole facility is clean and inviting. The current administrator is kind, very capable, and extremely responsive; she always wears a cheery, sincere smile and knows all the residents and family members by name. Personnel, from the reception desk to the nursing staff, are generally caring and many are long time employees at this facility, making for more stability than other places we encountered. Staff to resident ratio is much stronger than at similar nearby facilities. Making the most of the usual, awful institutional food, the dietary personnel are nevertheless extremely attentive to individual differences in diet needs and go out of their way to accommodate residents' dietary desires. Alden is also more affordable than many other choices in the Valley. It's a very good choice in a trying and difficult situation.

Well, I think that the staff is kind and considerate and there for my Mom. I rate them pretty high as far as retirement homes go.

Residents has been very friiendly & helpful during my mothers move in period! Mangement has been very heloful & assisting with the transition. Our family would highly recommend Fox River Horizon for your loved one.

It's still new, and we are in the independent side, so there is a lot still to be seen. So far we are satisfied with them. It's a clean place, and the people are friendly. We don't use any services and haven't checked out any activities yet.

My father has lived at Alden of Waterford for several months. Their staff is very knowledgeable and caring in providing the needed care for Senior Citizens. The management and staff create a very good atmosphere and offer numerous activities relating to individual preferences. I appreciate that my father is very well taken care in his daily needs and how the staff relates to him personally.

Sounds like a wonderful community. As levels decline pt is transferred out of the community and sent to SNF. Expensive.

Overall it was good. They have full time care as well as rehab care and we did the rehab care. I think they did a good job. They have the rehab people separate so they get the specialized care they need. Their therapist type people were great! We really enjoyed that. They did a good job with care. I would recommend them if you had to do rehab. They were very helpful and went out of their way to include the family.

I was only there about once a week but I never heard any complaints from the other family members. It was private pay and I didn't really get involved with the financial aspects of it but I thought they were pretty good. They were really responsive with any changes that we did want to make. It was her first experience with a nursing home and she went in with some issues so it wasn't like putting her in her normal environment but it wasn't noticeably difficult for her because of her dementia. They tried to include her in the activities for the residents but I don't think they were specifically geared for her because they weren't specifically memory care. She was not a permanent resident there, they were evaluating her to see if she could possibly be but because of her specific care needs she wasn't a good fit.

We were there. We liked it. Waiting for a response to a request for a fenced in backyard to contain her dogs.

The Courts of Waterboard was not what we were looking for. It was not going to be a good fit for my loved one, but it could be a good fit for someone else.

cerned about. something that was going on last week,that she is very concerned about. People are all talking about it.I am sure Aldens has been told about this.The person likes the place,but when something happens like this she is very concerened about all the people that live at NLH. I wish for my friend this matter would be taken care of.NLH has been there for 6 years.This person also mentioned there isnt much going on for the residents,my friend knows it is indpendent,but the weather will be string to change.My friend did say there use to be barbeques,there hasnt been any this year.Why have a nice barbeque grill and not use it???The rent hasgone up my friend doesnt understand the place is HUD,and alot of people are on a fixed income.People dont even to talk to each other like thye use to .what is going on at NLH.My friend likes living at NLH.,but wonders why things are like they are??

When I first moved in this place was nice ,then 2 years later a flood,was told that i would get reimbursed for what I paid when I had to leave,never was.The price has gone up on the rent.Covid hit everthing is shut down.Am disappointed in how magement isnt taking care of this place.

I am very disapointed,New Lenox Horizon has a very nice grill,but not is allowed to use it.The price of living here is OK!The rent went upbecause I was told water went up,dont understand ,the price for water should be on if it isa one bedroom,or 2 bedroom. The location where new lenox horizon was bulit isnr good,You would need a car,thye do have car services,you need to call aheasd and pay a little price for it. Cedar road is very congested with alot of cars. The bathrooms on the 1st floor arent opened yet.The former snow removal was better,the new ones dont plow between cars,thye said it would cost new lenox horizon more,some people here do work.I would check this place out.They just started playing bingo a few weeks ago.I know this is an indpendent place,but there should be something offered to the residents here.
