Fast employees, but there is turnover though.

We've been with this agency for several months, and have been pleased with the attentiveness of management when we reach out with concerns. Most of the caregivers sent to care for our dad have been great, althiugh one or two have had problems in the area of punctuality (sometimes showing up late to shift and occasionally leaving early), and communication - we've had one no-show w no replacement sent. However, most have been friendly and helpful, and done what we've asked.

Some of the caregivers were really good, but others were only useful when the client was awake. As soon as the client was in bed, they watched TV or played on their phones. I also didn't like the constant change in caregivers. We never knew who would show. But the biggest issue was the numerous no-call no shows. Not acceptable! $30 an hour was way too much. I would not recommend Home Instead to others after our experience.

We used home care services through Home Instead Joplin for our loved one. One of our caregivers was fabulous! The other caregivers were mediocre. I was fine with the communication because I am comfortable with technology and I am friendly. My brother (who is the Power of Attorney) was not and found it terrible to work with. He is admittedly not a patient man and repeatedly asked for paper statements and they weren't sent. When we finally chose to close the account, six letters came in the mail from them all dated the same day. He is still waiting to get his refund from the deposit, that was supposedly sent in April. I have to be the spokesperson because my brother lost his temper and the office won't speak to him. I'm glad it's over and I probably would not recommend it for anyone else.

It wasn't a great fit. The people were nice but the turnover was high. My parents location played a big part.. if you don't live in an ideal area help will be hard to find.

Check around with caregivers to see what is offered to you instead of taking the first one. Make sure you know about the billing practices. Having never had to have a care giver didn't know questions that should be asked.

Caregivers are great, but my mother needs weekend care. A lot of times, the company does a horrible job in not having replacements if the caregiver is unable to work or not going to work that day So be prepared for last-minute notifications of no one scheduled to work or their ability to plan for backup workers. They really do a bad job in this area

I ended up cleaning the freezer (wiping it down), and I have not done the refrigerator yet. Pt. Claims employee trying to take some items and she spent a lot of time on her phone. Meals - I know pt is hard to cook for, however there was food in the freezer, 6. No activities. At that time of year they could have sat on the front porch.

Very professional staff and activities are tailored to each individual. A little pricey but discounts are offered for longer visits. 'I would recommend them. They were professional and provide activities relevant to each person's interest. In our case the cost and the fact my mom wasn't remembering them being there was the reason we stopped.

The care from uhc was at their home 24 hr care. The owners were great, the sitters not so great. They were a little bit cheaper than the home care we were using that I removed.

I would tell others looking into Kennedy Companion Care that they should know that physical rehab is not the same level of care as nursing home. I would recommend their services, but the family should show a lot of interest and facetime.

In my opinion the review should be based on each individual that provided the services. Also the individuals should meet all the required federal, state and health regulations. One of the workers that took care of my sister had extremely long nails. The regulation states that nails should be short.

It is generally in poor taste to contact someone who is in grieving after they have lost a loved one who was in your care. Our experience with our in-home care provider was good for the short period of time she was with us, however that is far overshadowed by this request for review shortly after losing them. Please be more aware when sending these as this is what I will think of from our experience going forward. Thanks!

Families need to have a good list of what is needed when they look for care. Make sure they get all their questions answered if they can do these things by the agency before hiring. Things like driving the patient around is important to inquire about. Some will only take them so far. Cornerstone is one of them, I found out after the fact. Cornerstone has some nice people at the agency and caregivers. However, the communication needs to be a little better.

We used home care services through Comfort Keepers of Wallingford for my loved one and the experience was okay. We did have a couple of issues with my loved one's aide and ultimately decided not to use the care services any longer.

What we think Caring Senior Service Waco could maybe improve on would be - some training For the girls that don't Have any home health care experience, To help the person around better

We used Right at Home St. Charles Southern for home care services for my loved one. They were terrible about scheduling for 24 hour care. Sometimes my brother and his fiancé had to fill in last minute because the caregivers would cancel the day of. The caregivers were not appropriate for my loved one as she needed to be lifted. Even when we got them a lift, they didn't know how to use it. I found a few of them to be lazy....just sitting on their phones. A few times I found my loved one had not been changed or given her medicine etc.. before the next caretaker came in. I had one caretaker removed because she had a back issue and couldn't move my loved one from her wheelchair to a chair. I got a lot of complaints about having to do this. The agency knew what they were dealing with before they took my loved one on. Also, a lot of times they never filled the full 24 hour schedule. I would not recommend them for reliable 24 hour care OR for taking someone who is wheelchair bound. If you want a hired companion for someone who is still able to move around...maybe. As soon as I could get a reliable private caretaker, I was out. All in all, I found it to be incredibly expensive.

I would recommend Advocate In-Home Care to others for their loved ones. The caregivers have a strong accent and this can make it difficult to understand the instructions from the caregivers to my loved one. They are able to provide light housekeeping for my loved one.

The administrative staff were good but we did have a lot of call offs last minute and we had to find people to fill in. This happened about every other week. We had some caregivers who were really good and then ones who were not so good. We did get a notice that they were having a hard time finding caregivers which is something that I think people ought to know.
