I seriously am considering a wrongful death suit against them. I would not recommend them to take care of a loved one

If your love one has Dementia with agitation at times , the staff is not capable of handling them !!! They are suppose to be a Memory Unit specializing in Dementia but that is false!!! They just want the patients to be calm and passive. One staff tells you one thing and the other one tell you a different story. Never judge a book by it's cover!

During my father's time at this facility, he had scabies twice . He also developed a MRSA infection that was the size of a grapefruit before I was notified or treatment was initiated. His fingernails grew so long he scratched himself until he was bleeding several times. I received several calls from the facility where the person calling me did not know my father and told me they were calling regarding my mother. My father has been at another facility for several weeks now and is doing much better.

I was going to add to my previous review, but apparently you have to sign up to read all of the comments...another red flag in my book. Anyway, my MIL has been out of there for at least a month. She received a check from the federal government which had been opened by the facility and then put in an envelope with their return address and nothing else but the check in the envelope. Not sure why they felt if was appropriate to open her mail but that is [Removed].

My mother has been a resident at this facility and finally after multiple issues we are moving her to a safe environment. First, you need to know that being in Pavilion assisted care does not mean that your loved one will be checked on, regularly. My mother laid on the floor all night until 11:00 am the next morning without any staff checking into her room. She was non-responsive and taken by EMS to the hospital. The best I can tell the staff ratio is 1:15-20 residents. They are always willing to up your care for a fee but good luck seeing the difference. As an RN in Quality Mgmt., I earnestly advise you to be very careful with any Assisted Care that promises the moon. [Removed] is a real problem at Pavilion. Check out private homes as an alternative, but be mindful that you will still have to be very involved with your parents to ensure their safety and care. My parents had an unwanted guest forcibly staying with them for 2 months and the staff did not notice! That is unacceptable. Apparently they don't have security cameras which is also alarming. I called repeatedly to ensure that situation was taken care and no call back. DO NOT PUT your loved ones in this facility. It's terrible and we will be looking elsewhere to house my parents.

The place is very well kept up in appearance but the quality of care is not acceptable in my opinion.. I am a caregiver and going to school for healthcare administration. I believe in having quality care for all residents in every facility. They are always understaffed and the fact that the government is ok with using nurses and administration count as people to care for residents is wrong! For one administration never provides personal care, nurses are rarely around to ask for help.. so i highly would not recommend this place it is only good for retired people that can take care of themselves.

I went to check on my loved one who has been there under one year and learned that most of the staff and the management company has been fired. Not replaced yet, just fired. My mom's room was very dirty, she had not had a bath in weeks and her room had not been maintained. She has not been taken care of. This has been an ongoing problem since she has been there, but even worse since the people were fired before replacements were provided. There were some horrible staff members there who are gone, which is good, but they have to be replaced. There are so few staff available that I don't know how they are even still open. I am on hold to make a complaint to the state right now so that the facility will be inspected and made to do what they are required to by law. If I had the authority within the family, i would take her out of this place immediately.

My loved one has had a horrible experience with this community. They did not inform me that my father had fallen multiple times and did not keep me updated on his progress. He had fallen one night and was not checked on for almost 24 hours in which in that time he had experienced a heart attach. They did not follow through on the care that was promised and I would definitely nor recommend this place to anyone

Staff turnover is a problem. They are disorganized and poor customer service. You can ask for specific help with something and not get it. They don't clean the residents rooms very well and lose the residents personal items, like clothes and towels. People are poorly trained and so they can't keep anyone very long. Incompetent employees.

This place is nice from the outside in. But I notice workers are over worked and grumpy. I notice a lady from human resources talking about an employee health issues which I don't think that was okay. I wonder if she goes around talking about residents health issues too. I saw a medication aid tell a resident its your normal meds after the resident ask what are these medication. She was very ugly with her. If I send my mom here I would want her to feel at home. Not to be treated wrong. I over heard the employees say they could never find that medication aid as well. If workers are not happy then its just the wrong place for my mom.

My family member was injured a few times in a few weeks. As far as I know the staff was never held accountable, but that may be due to the incompetent Administrator. Our loved one had to visit the emergency room for one of the injurys sustained. If this was not enough we were verbally accosted by a staff member.
