Prior to COVID they had weekly cocktail hour, pet therapy, bingo, as well as puzzles. They had religious services and entertainments groupd, they also had special holiday parties. The food at this community was usually okay sometimes it was a hit or miss. Sonata community has very inviting feeling to it, the rooms are very comfortable. It was a very modern look to it, very bright, as well as pretty decor.

This community is unreal, the rooms have a lot of light. The whole facility is bright and airy. They have two courtyards with trees and flowers, they even have a chicken coop and an herb garden. They have activities that every resident gets to participate in. They have little corners in the facility that are decorated with different themes, it may look like a ice cream parlor, or an old fashion laundry parlor with a washing board. They have art and music classes several times a week. They have performers like musicians and dancers come in. They even had a fair last year that they could go to My mom loves it! First thing she said when she came to visit "is there is so much light." She said it was the best "hotel" she has ever stayed at. They throw the residents birthday parties. The staff is amazing, they have been very careful with the residents during COVID, not one resident has came down with the virus.

Like most residents' families, we are having a difficult time with the COVID restrictions which leave us unable to visit the facility and interest with our loved ones. Prior to the lockdown, I was fortunate enough to have been able to spend quite a bit of time at Poets Walk and was able to become familiar with a lot of the staff. It is this familiarity, knowing the level of care that is being provided to my mother by your staff, this is allowing my family to get through the current difficult situation. The nurses, med techs, caregivers, activities coordinators, housekeepers, dining services, maintenance, sales, the concierges, as well as your management staff have all shown an admirable devotion to the residents' well being. I am unable to offer personal thanks' I hope this note conveys my family's deep appreciation for all of you.

The community Family Ambassador facilitates video calls for me and my mom. The Family Ambassador articulates for me what mom is trying to say. She is very professional and kind. I really appreciate what she does for us!

My dad was there for 10 days. My dad had dementia. He was in the Independent Living. We liked that they served meals. The people were so helpful and accommodating. He needed more help so he moved out to a higher level of care.

I am very impressed with the services my wife is receiving at Sonata at Boca Raton. Unfortunately my wife has been diagnosed with having Alzheimer's Disease and the care and concern that all members of the staff at Sonata at Boca Raton, especially the support given by [name removed], are deeply appreciated.

My father lived at Poet's Walk Round Rock for several years before he passed away in December of 2019. The staff were extremely kind, patient and caring. They put up with my dad's quirky ways with calm and grace. They were always game to joke with him. Sure there were a few glitches; no one is perfect and the work they do is difficult and tiring, both emotionally and physically. But I wouldn't hesitate to have them care for another loved one, should the need arise.

It is a nice place. The food is good. The room sizes are nice. They have different floor plans. Some units washer and dryers in the units. The layout of the community is good. They have a pool and outdoor space. Some units have balconies. Close to shopping.

I would highly recommend Merrill Gardens.The room sizes are amazing. My dad loves the food. Beautiful location. They have a pool and outdoor space. Close to shopping and restaurants. The staff I deal with are amazing.

The director that runs the community is absolutely phenomenal and she is also a nurse, which I like. Overall, the staff are fabulous, friendly, cooperative, and go over and above for the residents and their families. They keep my mother's apartment exceptionally clean and sterilized. They even clean her walker everyday. When the chef is cooking, the food is excellent, but when he isn't there, it is not consistent. My only suggestion for improvement would be regarding activities. I would like to see more creative activities rather than the typical bingo and exercise. This community really is a family including the residents and the staff.

The staff are very caring and they seem to take excellent care of my mother. They do a lot of activities for their physical as well as their mental well being. It seems like a very great place for the fiscal value. The food is very good and my mother likes it. She is happy there.

The main reason we chose Sonata was that it was close to my mom's home and her friends could come and visit her. We also picked it because it is a small community and my mom's mobility is limited. Her apartment is close to the dining room. It is very clean and very modern. The only drawback is that there is no kitchen sink in the apartments. For my mom, I do not see that as a negative at all. Another major consideration for us and why we selected this community is that they are an LNS community and could provide nursing care if and when she needed it which eliminated other places for her. I am very pleased with the care she receives and the contact we receive. They keep me apprised of everything going on either by phone calls or emails.

Barathaven provided extra special care especially during this Covid-19 crisis. They Helped families stay in touch with Facetime and calls. Unfortunately my Mother in Law passed away 3 weeks after moving in but they really helped us, they packed up her things and brought them to our front porch. They also helped us arrange to donate and auction off some of her things to benefit the Alzheimer's foundation. A Place for Mom was exceptional in helping us find a community that specialized in Memory Care. I just wish I had found them sooner. I would like to thank my advisor [name removed], was outstanding. I just wish I could give her a big hug.

The food is exceptional. [Name removed], the lifestyle director is wonderful. Having our room cleaned once a week is fantastic. [Name removed] is great with us and makes all the events fun.

I've lived here for 2 months and I can't find anything wrong. The people are nice and staff is great. It's just nice to not have anything to worry about.

I've been here for 3 months and I love classes. The people here are wonderful and the staff makes me feel like I'm home. I fought it for a long time, but it was a great decision and I love it. I have people to talk to when I want and activities to keep me entertained so for me it turned out to be perfect.
