The staff have been extremely friendly and helpful. They are a little under-staffed though. It is a great value for the money comparatively.

My mom was not interested in moving into any sort of assisted living UNTIL I took her to visit Abode Care of Allentown. In the lobby there was a sign welcoming us to which mom said "they want you to feel at home here". The head of marketing gave us the tour of the facility and by the end of the tour mom said "when can I move in"? I was stunned and amazed because of the drive over, she wanted NOTHING to do with it. Mom moved into to her new home 3 weeks later and has no regrets. She feels safe and constantly tells us how happy she is there. She has made friends, enjoys the courtyard, and participates in some of the activities. Everyone has made her feel welcome. I provide regular feedback to the staff and they are always receptive and looking for ways to improve. Mom is happy and safe, I couldn't ask for more. I am thankful for the team at Abode for making this transition smooth and taking care of my mom. I no longer need to worry as I know she is in good hands.

My family and loved one have enjoyed our experience with Abode Care of Allentown. The staff have been kind, caring, attentive, and compassionate. Everyone is friendly. We would recommend you bring your loved one here for a visit and see if this will be a good fit for them.

Amenities include community gathering areas with comfortable seating where residents can hang out together, watch TV, listen to music, etc. Some such areas provide jigsaw puzzles, playing cards, and cold drinks like iced tea or lemon water. They offer; A short daily worship service, and several activities per day that vary from day to day, including trivia and other games, informational things like their version of "TED talks", live music, and some exercise things like "wheelchair jazzercise."I think it's reasonable for the price. It's not as perfect as I thought when my mother first moved in, but that's probably true of most places, and she and I are both mostly happy with it. So yes, I would recommend it to families whose budget doesn't support a very high-end facility.

We had a nice tour at Abode Care of Allentown. For my loved one, we needed a private shower in her room, and their shower was in a communal hallway bathroom. Cost was also an issue.

The facility is very well maintained. The staff is friendly. They are understaffed for the amount of residents they have. In memory care, my loved one needs a little more attention than she's getting. Recently it looked like she hadn't been showered in a week. And her teeth were not clean. She does seem to be happy there. And they do a lot of activities. I would like to see them improve the food. Sometimes it's difficult to eat - it needs to be softer or be able to be easily cut into smaller pieces.

Overall we have been very happy. Mom is safe, and happy, nurses are attentive to her meds, and she likes the food, enjoys the courtyard, and feeding her birds. They have been very good about updates since I cannot get there every day. They do fundraisers for Alzheimer's and local shelters.

The residents that are there tend not to be self motivated - they do have activities going on but it seems like the staff members could be a little more encouraging. However we do think it is a great value for the money and this community is just one floor so its very accessible and convenient for the residents when getting around.

There are different types of rooms here. I have a cat, and they do not charge extra for her. I have a studio-type apartment with my own shower, which is great. Mine happens to be the more expensive ($500 more), but I have plenty of room for her & me. The food is good, not great, not excellent, but choice of 2 dinners and options if you don't want either one. Staff is awesome! I'm very comfortable and happy here.

Our family had an in person tour and the young lady who gave the tour was wonderful and awesome, but the community itself just seemed very dark and not really well lit. We just did not think that would be the best fit for our loved one

It was very hard to find people to talk to but again it was during COVID. There was lack of staff, and never anyone around to talk to. They did not have very good contact with people. We could literally walk in and go to dads room, and staff was not there. Overall, it was very nice. Don't be put off by the exterior, take a tour. It's newly remodeled.

This community is really good. It is really well run and it is a nice community. Every time I go in everyone knows my name and my loved one is very happy here. The whole surroundings it is like a community and not like a nursing home. they have activities like happy hour, people that come in and sing for them and they can have a drink if they would like to and reminisce. They have an outdoor courtyard and everything and it is going really smooth.

The staff here are all friendly, and they are doing a good job with the care services our loved one is well taken care of. Our loved one is not the biggest fan of the food, but to us it looks really good. They do have a room for activities like an art room and board games. We also think the value is very good.

My wife is very content here in the memory care, the staff is very attentive and they always keep me updated when I come to visit her. I feel my wife is safe here and it is a very nice place. They have a nice dining area and she likes to visit with the other residents, they do keep her busy as best they can in the memory unit too.

The community here is wonderful. However, the man that took us on the tour seemed to me like a slick car sales person. He answered all of my questions and was very nice, but the feeling I got was not one that I would leave my husband there.

This was a larger community and I felt like my mom would of been better in a small community. The staff did answer all of our questions and were very helpful. the community is clean and has alot of great activities to help the residents stay active. I would recommend this for good care by just the tour that was enjoyable.

My tour of this facility went very well, I really liked it. It is a little expensive, but you get what you pay for. The staff was very lovely and kind. The location was going to be a problem for our family, it was a little to far from us. They did offer me a meal to try. Overall it was a pleasant tour.

This is a family operation. They are not going to be dictated by far away corporations. When you discuss things with them , you will get a direct response. This is a good advantage.The management is hands on. So things get done and the staff is very responsive. I would recommend this place. My mom is in their memory care unit and is well taken care of.

They have a very good staff that is able to deal with difficult situations better than the pervious home that my mother lived in.

Slightly more personal care than necessary at this point. Over the top for medical and personal care and security.
